the billboard is not for adverts- it's just to draw attention... the ad's in it are swipes from the web off of a feed, and are there right now simply to demonstrate function.  It will have our own stuff in there exclusively soon enough.  there is a mechanism with that billboard that I needed to have something parked in there (the articles fed into it) to test it for function.  I've spent more time scripting that thing than any other aspect of the page- it's what bots and spiders pay attention to, and why it's important.

right now traffic and space hasn't impacted my leased access whatsoever- and it would take more than ten fold anything we've seen so far (at the end of the first week) to do so- but, if it ever does impact us i may plug some advertisers in to offset costs.  A matter of fact, I just cleared off a server that was hosting three other sites to put this one on exclusively- which will assist in traffic and increase the available resources so costs won't impact me until this place is humming along with huge bandwidth requirements and occupied space (if that ever happens).

that billboard thing is still kicking my ass... I tried to redo it, and jumped into a rabbit hole i barely got out of.

there will be, ultimately, a scroll below it between it and the forum header, that has every single team's helmet or logo- and which links to that teams board.... i'll start easy though and knock out the majors.  maybe the top 25?
