If we received a bowl ban?  If so this is where I fully support government interference into civil matters.  It time for Tennessee to take back rightful dominance of the SEC East.

Eff the ncaa.

All this hubbub- especially the foia that released fulmers activities- show lack of institutional control as gross as it ever has been.

Fulmer was culpable and party of... tater head was a bama boy and you'll never convince me wasn't doing that at untouchable bama where Satan himself showed him the ropes... bit the consistent one- through Dooley and butch to tater head and the decimation of UT, was the AD.  Once he was bounced, things turned around.

Hell, Fulmer said in an email upon taters loss to vandy, paraphrased, "it wasn't his fault- we don't have a single player who can bench 400- it was Dooley and butch's"...

I can’t recall the term Butch used but essentially the guys didn’t have to lift weights or work out in any capacity. UT football got very soft during the DooLittle and Butch years. I can’t imagine being a 6’5” 300 pound lineman and not benching 400 plus and squatting double my body weight. There are plenty of 180 pound DB’s benching 300 plus and 200 pound RB’s squatting 500 pounds. If a guy wants to go places as a football player he has to be a gym rat.

I seem to recall that when Haupel took over there was not a single Offensive lineman that couldbench 400 lb.

I heard the same thing. Cornbread lost the team mainly because he was a jackass and as a result they didn’t give 2 flying flips. I can see why the players struggled with Cornbread. He seemed really dry and impersonable to me which is fine if your name is Nick Saban or Kirby Smart but he wasn’t toting their resume so that personality failed him and the university.
