The three-day Early Signing Period closed nearly two weeks ago without Tennessee announcing Dylan Brooks, one of the highest-ranked players in the Vols' 2021 recruiting class, as an official signee. The day before the signing period started, he even suggested that he might wait until National Signing Day in February to finalize his choice.
But the four-star Class of 2021 defensive end/linebacker from Handley High School in Roanoke, Ala., didn't actually postpone his signing after all. Tennessee announced Thursday afternoon that he officially has signed with the Vols, revealing that the top-100 prospect quietly signed his National Letter of Intent to play at Tennessee during the Early Signing Period.
