That win will mean a lot to our program. It’s Jimbo’s best win, Mond played stellar, and the defense made a play when they had to.

It didn't surprise me at all despite all the hype. Florida had beaten two of the worst defenses in the conference. Mond is a three year starter and the most underrated qb in the conference.

Not a great day for my guesses here.  Mizzou beats LSU?  A&M beats UF, which is not a complete shock.  Auburn edges Arky on a very bad call.

Florida's defense is utterly mystifying.  I don't know how it's even a thing.  The only Gator defense I can remember that was bad was in 2007 when we played a bunch of true FR in Tebow's Heisman season. 


Here's some observations, though:
1 - CB Marco Wilson sucks......he played well as a FR, but hasn't been the same since tearing up his knee.  Everyone wants him to be good and remembers when he was good, but he wasn't good last year and sucks ass now.

2 - We have no pass rush......DE/LB Moon (#7) has not developed at all.  He's still too skinny and just sprints around the end, taking himself out of the play over and over and over again.  The UGA transfer (Cox) has done jack squat in terms of getting to the QB.

3 - Third and Grantham - I'd heard this at his previous stops, but GOOD GOD, A&M was 12-15 on 3rd down.  I don't care what else you do, you lose games when that happens.  You can't blitz and play man if your guys can't cover.

The SEC looks more like the Twelve this week.  What is going on?

A&M  41  UF 38 - I sort of got close on the score.
USC3 41  Vandy 7   - I didn't realize Vandy was short handed
UGA 44 Tenn 21 - I was nervous, as usual.
Auburn 30 Arky 28 - About as good a guess as I had, maybe Arky is decent, and/or Auburn isn't?  Tough loss for Arky.
Bama 63  Ole Miss 48 - It's a good thing Ole Miss has no D either
UK 24 - MSU 2 - HUH?  Weirdness, total weirdness.  The team I expected to score didn't.
Mizzou 45  LSU 41  - Way off, LSU clearly is WAY down from last season, not just off their peak a bit.

I was pretty far off on scores though.

I think Arkansas has a team this year, and Auburn basically does not.

Alabama at Tennessee - Going to be ugly again, Bama 47-13

Auburn at Ole Miss - Auburn gets back on track a bit with a thin win, 31-27.

Kentucky at Missouri - UK coming off a big win gets upended, Mizzou 38-24

South Carolina at LSU - Um, LSU hangs on late 27-21.

I was close on the Auburn score, and yes, I think the ball tipper the Auburn players finger quite clearly, and at minimum, it merited a more detailed review.

Maybe they don't reverse, but it looked clear to me, and that was a mistake, another favoring Auburn at a critical point.

Auburn 35-28  Once again.

Missouri 20-10, picked the winner at least

LSU 52-24  didn't see that much offense, but picked all four winners for the second week in a row.

Georgia 34  Kentucky 13  Dawg defense is too stout.

LSU 31  Auburn 27   Auburn's luck finally wears out and a call goes against them.

Ole Miss 38  Vandy 20

Alabama 45  Miss State 17

A&M  30  Arkansas 20  I am tempted to call it for Arky.

Florida 41  Mizzou 28
