Arch just played like he had a bundle of nerves. The longer the game went on without a break, the tighter he got bound. It'd be nice to say he had ice water in his veins and shrugged off the pressure, but that wasn't the truth. He didn't want to make a mistake, so he overthought, the game sped up, and he lost muscle memory. The INT came when he got worried about the pressure and "tried to make something happen".

tOSU got their first TD when the Longhorn defense committed two drive extending penalties. They got the breaks, clustered them, and took advantage. Their own newbie QB made a terrible throw to a wide open WR who managed to play the ball off his own thigh for a score.

Now they're voted #1 and Texas isn't. Fair enough, but don't pretend like there's a gulf of difference.

I was assuming Manning had perfect mechanics.....but he's an Uncle Rico meme from Napoleon Dynamite.  Tebow's throwing motion was better.

But it is one game and it's possibly the best defense he'll face all year.
The '25 Horns were like the '85 Gators.....one week at #1 spooked them.

Based on the fact that Illinois State outrushed OU, I suspect that Michigan will run the ball right down the Sooners' throats.

They're gonna try that's for sure.  We'll see what Venables can scheme up, I bet he's working on something special.

pribula looked great albeit against a scab.

offensive line looks terrifyingly bad. that said they shuffled it a couple weeks ago so the upshot is that they'll hopefully work things out moving forward. that said i expect it to be the weak link of this team tip to tail which will only allow us to do so much.

wr group looks very good & deep.

new tb looks pretty good.

i didn't think i would be but i'm worried about our run defense. i "hope" they'll be able to coach up the lb's b/c i think that was the source of the issues.

i u/s if you look at the box score you might wonder what i'm talking about - you had to watch the game & consider the competition.

lost our kicker for the season & backup qb.

7-8 wins is my guess plus whatever the bowl is.

I like it when Darth Mizzou wins.

Almost as good as Pimp Vandy.

After last night's victory over Michigan, I can hardly wait until somebody starts the "Week 2 Overreactions"  thread. ;)
