Week 1 for your team
« on: September 05, 2022, 10:53:50 AM »
Florida proved Vegas right, basically, by hanging with the 7th-ranked team in the country as an unranked team.
AR's passing limitations will be on display vs elite defenses.  But he can out video-game everyone else.

The defense isn't great.  It lacks depth in the front 7 and Utah never really passed downfield to their WRs at all, so that's an unknown.

The OL could be a strength, for real.  We thought that last year, after the Bama game, but everything went to hell.

The larger takeaway is that everything was functional and everyone knew what they were doing.  That's not always true for a team under a new HC in game 1.
“The Swamp is where Gators live.  We feel comfortable there, but we hope our opponents feel tentative. A swamp is hot and sticky and can be dangerous." - Steve Spurrier

Cincy left a ton of points on the field. Glaring weakness in the Hogs defensive secondary that someone will take advantage of if it isn't fixed ASAP. Everything else looked good and the Hogs won. gah....
