UGA may beat themselves, but that's their only rival in the East

UGA is THAT good... to the point that famous UGA red has a crimson tint to it when they're on the field.   I gotta give it to Smart- he's done a helluva job down there.  That D is ferocious, and capable of playing against anyone anywhere- if they maintain the level of effort from last night and the ND game, I just don't see them losing.  The O is disciplined in that the blocking assignments are spot on, the routes are nearing perfection, and Fromm's arm is strong and accurate enough to perform (next year? holy cow...).  the backfield is the best in the nation bar none...  coaching is superb with excellent game prep and very solid play calling on both sides of the ball.

damn it... UGA should rule the East without hardly breaking a sweat for the foreseeable future.  They're that damn good.

Of course, we fans tend to exaggerate our impressions based on the last game.  What UGA SHOULD do has often not been what the DO do, as we all know.  Now maybe Smart has mastered the "let down week" gig, but Richt hadn't.

1 - they obviously won't/can't maintain such a level of play - we'll see if they poop the bed against a cupcake or against someone who can actually make them pay for it, and
2 - chill
Jesus.

This week we will see if Kirby has changed the culture as much as I think.

In 2004 Saban brought 2003 national champion LSU into Sanford and the Dawgs beat them 45-16.  The atmosphere was just as electric as last night.

The next week, in a foreshadowing of Richtball,  they lost to a Vols squad in Athens 19-14 who had a qb who could not throw after their starter got hurt

Saturday in Knoxville will tell me a lot.
