I think at some point it no longer has much negative impact.

One starts to look for players still playing hard for next season.

They faced a brutal schedule and I don't think their next coach will be better than Napier, but he might face an easier road.

If they get Kiffin, he's appreciably better than Napier, and would've fared much better, even against their schedule this year.

Indeed.  Still feels good to get the monkey off our back.

It has always annoyed me how our very real struggles in Gainesville have been exaggerated, even when the actual truth is bad enough.

Back in the 90's, it was "The Vols haven't won in Gainesville since 1971!" -- when we had only played there like 3 times since 1971.  

The Swamp is Volunteer kryptonite, but a new streak will have to commence.

(Nah -- They just say "The Vols have only won once in Gainesville in the last 24 years" to make it sound worse.)
