I also think that for some schools they could end up rebalancing those perma-rivals.  For Texas, three perma-rivals works out perfectly to our three historical rivals.  For other schools, some of them are a bit forced.  But I don't see any reason those couldn't be changed up every few years either.

I want to say they'll be revisited every 6 years.  I have no idea why that's in my mind, but it is.

is there a fan that likes the new world order post 2010? is there a fan that ever liked it? it is what it is.
It's not about us.  It's about getting as many NPCs walking by to click something.

Historically, UGA didn't play Tenn that often, then the SEC East came about.  Now it's gone.  Alabama has been in infrequent opponent also.  I know "back in the day", SEC schedules were ... weird.  Georgia Tech never played Mississippi teams, for example.  I guess teams could pick and choose.

I recall 1979 I think it was that UGA played four ACC teams, and lost all four, but managed to win every conference game with Auburn coming to town, and a win there would secure a conference title at 6-5.  Auburn spared them that indignity.

Auburn and UGA have a history of "upsetting" each others great seasons, 1942, 1971, etc.

14 years in we’ve played UGA exactly once, never played at Kentucky, but multiple games vs Florida, Tenn, and Vanderbilt. No idea why.

Is this the last year of the SEC CCG?  I’ve been told that with the pending 24 team playoff expansion the CCG will become a thing of the past for all conferences. I’m sorta disappointed that A&M never got the opportunity to play in it, with close but no cigar chances in ‘12, ‘20, ‘24, and ‘25.  Seems like last year we were tied with Alabama or something and they won the tie breaker after we dropped the game against Texas.

I suppose we have a better chance of winning the conference since we will probably have multiple conference champs when tie breakers are null.  It was before my time but I recall many years that conferences had multiple champs.  I think the Big 12 had several multiple champs when they had no CCG. The infamous TCU/ Baylor split comes to mind.

Wow, Kentucky only has Tennessee, Florida, and Missouri left on the schedule.  No Georgia, and they already lost to Bama.

I just can't believe in UK.  Their OL seemed pretty legit when we played them, but other than that, we just wasted chance after chance to put them away.  If we played anything close to a clean game, we probably win going away.

And I still think LSU is just pretty good, at its best.

Alabama is shaping up to be a little mid, and they blew UK out on their own field.  That's the best team UK has played, easily.

I don't think they're bad, I just think they're okay.

They seem to be really up themselves right now.  I hope Tennessee is up to humbling them in a couple of weeks.

Parity.  All of the "decent" SEC teams are capable of beating one another under the right circumstances.  There aren't any "great" teams though I still think Georgia is likely the best of the bunch.

I don’t even really believe in them either, but their schedule is somewhat favorable.  They still have to make and win the SEC CCG, but it’s refreshing that a different team has a chance to go. Only so much Alabama Georgia Florida I can stand. Throw LSU in there too.  Even though it sucked watching them go I was pleased to see Texas make it a few years ago even if it was at A&M expense.
