Major rumors that we tried to hire him in ‘23.

Yeah and Texags was so pissed that they forced the administration to abandon the hire while Stoops was on the plane en route to College Station.

That would be kind of funny if true, but it sounds like internet hogwarsh to me.

Yeah it's nice to see the Texas women having a strong basketball program again.  Growing up, they were one of the biggest games in town.  Lots more folks attended womens' games than mens' games.

They were not nearly as big a deal whrn I attended.  Glad to see the huge increase in their popularity in all sports.

Yeah they were a big deal in the early/mid 80s.  That undefeated 1986 34-0 national championship team really packed the house.  It wasn't until Tom Penders arrived in the late 80s and brought a fun, run'n'gun style of basketball to Texas, that the men's team finally began drawing fan support.

The reckless driving thing is well into epidemic territory now.  Apparently giving an 18 year old money to buy some high powered ride is not always a great idea, but this doesn't happen elsewhere much.

They could just have Waymos, honestly.  A little fleet for all athletes at the school.  They'd never be more than a minute or two away.
