I really don’t care. But some people do.

I really don’t care. But some people do.
  • I like to see historic powers flail about.  It makes me feel better about my almost-but-not-quite top ten all-time program.
  • I've described before the apparent anti-Domer sentiment in bygone eras, which I believe arose from Louisiana Catholics who felt like ND was being forced on them, as if they weren't being good Catholics if they didn't eschew their home state school and instead root for ND.  Cajuns are an ornery bunch, and if they felt pressure to support ND--real or perceived--they were a likely group to rebel against it and go the other way and hate them.  This, imo, eventually seeped into the fanbase at large....it kind of became a vaguely Louisiana thing to do, to be irked by ND as well as root for LSU.  Although the former is significantly further down the scale in intensity.  In turn, it seeped into me.  I don't have a real reason for disliking Notre Dame.  It's kinda just how everybody is, where I'm from.
  • They did hoodwink us into thinking BK was a good coach, so there's that.  Even if that's our bad and not theirs, it's more fun to blame them anyway.  And Canada.
  • It's sports, I don't really have to be rational.
