LSU's #1 WR last season, who lead the league in TD receptions, capping a nice career, died in Houston Saturday after apparently shooting himself.
He was arrested in January, I think, in connection with a December hit-and-run, on multiple charges, including negligent homicide. He got into an argument with a family member, produced a gun and shot at the ground, then fled. When authorities found him they attempted a traffic stop which resulted in a vehicle pursuit that resulted in a crash. When they attempted to take him into custody they discovered what they believe to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
I obviously don't know him, but it seems like a tragic end for an otherwise normal, upstanding kid who never showed any red flags I knew of. It seems like he responded wrongly and poorly to a terrible thing, and he just spiraled from there.
