I saw a picture of Burny on fb just this past week, at a game.  I think maybe he was at the Northwestern game at the new stadium.  So apparently he's still alive.
He went to the Tennessee-Texas game in Knoxville.  He and I stay in touch via text and the occasional phone call.  Sounds familiar... ;)

Well, you know you're getting old if you can't remember the difference between Northwestern on tv, and Neyland Stadium.

Geez.

It happens to the best of us.

But yeah all of the traffic cone orange in the background might have been a clue... :)

Don’t feel bad. I’m literally the only Aggie left on here. Never really was too many of us. Bonfires, Shiner, and one more I can’t recall.

Does anybody else remember the OKKid?  He used to tell us about all the scantily clad girls in his HS class with enthusiasm.

Bonfire must've been before my time.  I've heard people talk about him but I never saw him here.

There used to be 4 or 5 more LSU guys here regularly.  Two Ole Miss guys, three Woo Pigs, three more Gators, two more UGA dawgs, one Clanga guy (though he never did post much), 3-4 Vols, two Barners, and a Gamecock.  Those are just the ones off the top of my head who were regulars here when I joined.

All are MIA except one UGA and one UF guy who passed.

Not sure what happened to this place, but I recall when it first got merged with Scout, we picked up a ton of Bama guys, who weren't trolls, but might as well have been.  They were insufferable, and that's when I started noticing people dropping off.  I took frequent breaks myself....they just stunk the place up.

Sooner Red was another, but I'm not sure he ever made it here.

I wonder what ever became of Sooner Red.  He was always on Wingy's site (aks me how I know) and posted that he actually lost his job for posting at work.  I don't remember him posting much at all after that.

Seems like you should at least get a warning for that.

I kinda doubt anybody here monitors our internet activity, but if they ever say anything to me about it, I'll tell them they should give me more to do and then I wouldn't be goofing around on the internet.

Went to the beach for the long Columbus/Indigenous people's day weekend instead of going to Dallas.

Definitely made the right call.

Sucking sucks.

Put up Halloween decorations instead of watching the second half of the game.

Definitely made the right call.

Case McManning needs to ride some pine.  So does the rest of the team.  And the coach.

Some thoughts:
they didn't really have any film on our QB, so there's that
Our D-line played balls-to-the-wall today, especially on 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1
aside from the late, long gain allowed, our pass D was great.....which doesn't make any sense, unless.....
Manning actively sucks.  And it would be fine if Sark just ran the ball 70% of the time, but he probably feels like he can't do that, because whining
The way our guys hung in there with the QB sucking ass at first, but the receivers hung in there, making plays late was great
The whole team hanging in was a surprise, as they did the opposite vs Mizzou and USCe....that punt return TD allowed could've broken our backs

Imagine having to rank this team.  2 wins over top 10 (at the time) teams.  Getting blown out by 2 others.  I guess that win @ Auburn looks better now.

Going 2-1 vs Texas the last 3 years feels like a win.  Our prize?  Playing a pissed-off UGA on Halloween.  What could go wrong?

I wonder if Texas will be ranked after this week?  Maybe 18-22?  Next week is Ole Miss, who appears to be pretty good.

I'm ready to see what the offense looks like with the next QB.  Case McManning is cooked.

I have a Manning conspiracy that's playing out in Austin.

The Manning family is arguably the most awarded family in football history. Super Bowls, MVPs, Super Bowl MVPs, Statistical Records, followed by steady presence across sports media. But one award that's always alluded the Manning family is the Heisman Trophy. All three - Father Archie and sons Peyton and Eli - finished in the top 3 of Heisman voting at least once during their time in college.

Arch Manning was carefully prepped and mentored to fix that. His high school games were broadcast on ESPN's minor channels starting his Sophomore year. Arch was then sent to one of the right schools for granting him a high profile. Meanwhile, Grandpa Archie and Uncles Peyton and Eli have enough sway and footing within ESPN to sound a tide of public support for Arch. I might even argue it's way Peyton and Eli remain at ESPN, and once Arch has come and gone from Texas, you'll see both reduce their role with ESPN.

We're currently seeing a similar agenda play out with Nick Saban at ESPN. He knew that by muscling his way onto a spot at the College Gameday desk, it allowed him to police whatever negative views other ESPN personalities might hold against him while also being able to convince the network to produce a self-titled, self-serving 6-part docuseries dripping with unironic worship of almighty Saban.

And Sark is stuck in the middle of it all.
