What to expect of Georgia for next season? The rushing attack was near the bottom of the conference, Carson Beck moved the offense at times but clearly missed McConkey and Bowers, and how is the offense looking better going into 2025? For starters, the offseason should focus on sorting out the lost running game. Georgia’s stable of running backs is way too talented to disappear as much as they did this past season. Get the running game sorted out and then work on establishing downfield targets for Gunner Stockton. As of late, Georgia’s offense relied on Carson Beck’s instinct, which at times could throw a magic pass. Stockton, though adequate, has a ways to go if he’s needed to bail out an offense that too many times Beck was called on to do.

Without improvement on the offense, I see opponents honing in to exploit the ways Georgia’s offense sputtered in a number of games last year. For example, a good defense could trap Georgia into more low scoring battles like Kentucky was able to last season. There’s about 4 or 5 games on Georgia’s schedule where this could happen:

I got nuthin' to add about UGA, I think they are a pretty well known commodity.  I see a lot of arguing about Stockton (QB) which is fair, nobody can really know, outside the team.  I think more important is the OL which is mostly new and the ability to RTDB, which last year was appalingly poor.  Having Wide outs that catch passes would be a nice thing as well.

UGA recruits particularly well on defense, the LBs have been pretty terrific of late and I think that is the key defensive position in their scheme.  The DL is meant to soak up blocks so a LB can make the play, but and large.  They play a kind of 3-4 scheme though it doesn't look like it much at the snap.  They lost quite a bit from last season, but that is typical.

Georgia’s defensive line is going to look very different next season. Gone are veterans Warren Brinson and Naz Stackhouse, along with Williams and Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins. From a raw numbers standpoint, this group isn’t as deep as it has been in year’s past. But there is still a lot to like about this group. Getting Miller back was significant as he looks to become a bigger piece in this defense.

Schedulewise, they start with two pastries, so barring injuries, they should be sorted out before going to Knoxville 9/13.  They get a week of and then play Bama 9/27 in Athens, so that sets up pretty well.  Then the SEC "gauntlet" with most of the tougher teams in Athens, then a pastry before Tech.

If they are a really good team, I'd expect 10-2.  There are games they can lose depending on how the ball bounces of course, Tenn, Bama, Texas, Ole Miss, Florida, and I expect GaTech to be a pretty good team this year.

So, I couldn't watch the UG game, was out of town.  This strikes me as another kind of goofy teams, a lot of breakdowns in the 2°.  Defense looks solid at times and porous too often.  The QB is playing very well IMHO, a key factor in their O of course.  Special teams mostly solid.

It's easier to spot holes in your team than strength usually, every college team has'em.  I think the Dawgs will need some more breaks to beat Texas and Tech, even Miss State is a threat.  Probably a 10-2 team, maybe not ready for a playoff.

So far, Stockton has been a star, much better than expected by most.  The OL has been .... so so, about as expected, some key injuries have hurt.  The defense is ... erratic, particularly on the back end.  Again, some injuries, but every team has them.  They are running the ball better than last season which isn't saying a whole lot.

Overall, within expectations mostly, except for Gunner.  Seems like a 10-2 kind of team.
