So while very bad, Arkansas was only the 5th-worst 0-8 SEC team in the past 26 years or so. However, it has set the record (if my math is correct) for having the worst defense for a winless team since division play began.
1994 Kentucky was THE worst 0-8 squad. A bad offense and a bad defense (even when compared to other 0-8 teams) yields all-time-bad futility. This was 2 years before the same HC had Tim Couch running the option.
The Mildcats scored in single digits in 5 of their 8 conference games.
They allowed scores of 73, 41, 47, and 52. This team was so bad, they gave up 59 points to Indiana OOC.
Led by the great Bill Curry, this UK roster contains literally only 2 players I recognize. And I'm a psycho Florida fan. We play them every year.
Moe Williams - a legit good RB, but not getting enough carries in '94
Kio Sanford - not a car, a good returner and eventually, a decent WR
The team leader in pass attempts was a human named Jeff Speedy, who threw 1 TD and 8 INT. Four other players thew a pass for the Wildcats, for some reason. The defense only came up with 7 INT all year. Their kicker only made half his attempts. An all-around turd of a team.
Congrats to Arkansas for NOT measuring up to the 1994 Kentucky Wildcats!
