Bama is the favorite and they should be but the Dawgs are bringing more than 59 players this time.

23-20 UGA in an upset.

Wow, both teams seemingly screwed themselves in OT there, but both came out okay.  UGA hit the long FG to save themselves, and then Bama had 2nd and forever at the 42.  How in the holy hell is a WR that wide open?!?

Anyways, very entertaining game.  They say anytime UGA loses a championship game, a gator gets its wings (bad joke).

I hate Bama, but I hate UGA more.  Glad to see them lose.

Best national championship game to me and I didn't care which team won because they are both rivalries when UT becomes good again, but I called the Tua change before the end of the first half.  Half my Bama amigos said that was a bad call with him not playing much during the season, but it was clear that was the only way Bama was going to catch up and win by throwing the ball.  I could be wrong since I haven't looked at UGA's run/pass ratio from the first half to the second half, but it appeared to me Jim Chaney was trying to run the clock out in the second half and wear down Bama by rushing the ball with Sony and Chubb rather than mixing things up more with the pass and taking advantage of play action where they were more effective.  Just my quick observations, but I could be wrong.

Man, that one was tough to watch. Proud of our guys for giving it their all, but in the end Alabama made plays when they had to and had some things go their way and we didn't. OLine and secondary certainly need some upgrades, but the future is bright!
Coming into the season if you had told me that UGA would win the SECCG, Rose Bowl over Oklahoma and be playing in the CFB Championship game against Alabama and the game would be decided in OT, i wouldn't have believed you.

Kudos to both teams for a well fought game and fabulous seasons.

And congrats to the Tide.  They're king, yet again!

Ga. became relevant again this year after an eternity of who cares bowls.
We beat the best offensive team in the country last week and lost to the best defensive team in the country this week in OT.

The thing is Ga. is two years ahead of schedule. 2 more recruiting classes will equal the playing field.

Losing was a disappointment but the truth is Bama should have hit the fg and never let it get that far.

Yeah, that was an all-time choke job by the Bama kicker.  30-something yards...ball placed where you want it.  And it was no good as soon as his foot touched it, lol.

I love the UGA kicker's look.  Has talent, too.

I had forgotten all about this, but I warned those guys on the B10 forum that expanding the playoff will get more all-SEC finals happening.  After 2011 and their complaining about that and everyone loving the 4-team playoff, this year's Bama-UGA was exactly what I warned them about.

Same thing, if it goes to 8 teams - you'll have 3-4 SEC schools in it every year, and often 2 in the final.

i'm not sure about every year, but i'd bet 2 out of every 5 we'd have 3-4. and 9 out of 10 we'd have 2.

unless they made some rules to limit conf appearances, most years would look like: 2 sec, 2 b1g, 1 acc, 1 pac, 1 bxii, 1 g5/ind team.
