That's a lot of money to keep losing all the time.

Perhaps it is being spent on baseball and bowling.

The SEC should drop Vandy and add UNC.

Vanderbilt should be congratulated for trying to upgrade their football program. They have a $6 billion endowment so the money they spent isn't going to hurt them. It is good to see somebody try to improve rather than sit around and bitch about not being able to compete with big spenders like a lot of programs.

As far as wanting North Carolina in our league count me out. Clemson and/or FSU are the only teams in the ACC who might meet our profile.

Neither of those expands the footprint.  And I was trading an academic school with no athletics to one that has them.

North Carolina averages 50,500 fans in attendance. Clemson averages 81,000 and FSU almost 80,000. Either one of the latter would be preferable to North Carolina. It's a moot point anyway as it's not going to happen.

It is.
But if you went around and asked the head of each P5 conference who the SEC would take, neither Clemson or FSU would even be in the top 6 schools.
