What is of note for your team?  QB battles?  Key position contests?  Looking to see how some youngster looks?

I got nothing beyond wondering if Zamir White will play some.

We have a true FR getting reps with the 1s at CB (Steele) while we get one back from a knee injury last year.  A safety moved up to LB (Bruney).  Seeing how the 2 backup youngsters do at QB behind Franks.

But mostly just seeing which 5 OL wind up on the field.

I was musing that this season for UGA comes down to one thing - beating Alabama.  Anything less than that will be a bummer, again.  We could have a 45-7 lead in the fourth quarter against them and I'd be expecting the worst.  They are the new Florida.

UGA Spring Game is today, it rainy and a bit chilly, so the crowd may be under the usual numbers.  I mulled over going but am not with this weather.  That could impact the recruits negatively I suppose.  As for the "game" itself, I don't expect to learn much of anything.  Maybe the FR QB shows something impressive (D'wan).

At times, some skill position backup may look impressive on his own merits without the defense looking bad.  I doubt anything happens that alters my perception of their prospects.  The talent level keeps improving and this group has decent experience, so it's an all or nothing season, in effect.

The Dawg spring game was predictably boring, I watched some of it.  They were passing on almost every down, which makes sense I think.  The two backup QBs made some nice throws and some bad ones (duh).  The freshman QB who is something like 6'6" and 200 pounds has wheels and a good arm, but needs weight, duh.  The Dawgs start off at Vandy and then two pastries before hosting ND, so perhaps they can get some experience and keep Fromm healthy.  Low attendance in part because of the lousy weather.

A lot of potential recruits present, which as noted, is perhaps the real reason for these things.

Does anyone know about when spring games became something folks attended as opposed to a scrimmage in the stadium in front of 200 people?

Nebraska probably started it.
