Around 25 I'd guess, if we count everyone who announces and then bails in two weeks.

It could well be 30 though obviously.  I think we're already at 11 or 12.

I think the odds on favorite with the Democrat establishment at least at this point is Kamala Harris.
She checks off all the boxes : young, minority, female, extreme left liberal and reasonably attractive.
A good indication of who the establishment favors  is how the Washington Post outed Elizabeth Warren last week over her Indian heritage application for the bar.
Just my personal opinion.

I see a chance for a RELATIVE moderate who plugs away getting 20% or so of the vote while the Leftists split the remainder.  Early primaries like South Carolina could give him or her a win and some attention.

We could see this decided at the convention after some horse trading.  This Green New Deal is going to leave some of them very vulnerable.
