Week 8
« on: October 15, 2018, 07:42:51 PM »
Tulsa @ Arkansas
Auburn @ Ole Miss
Alabama @ Tennessee
Memphis @ Missouri
Miss State @ LSU
Vanderbilt @ Kentucky

This week we'll see how far Auburn plans to fall.
Can Tennessee avoid getting curb-stomped?
Is LSU really for real?
Can Vandy sneak into Lexington and catch the Cats sleeping?

Anyone find it funny (or unfunny) that LSU is #5, loses and drops down, then is right back at #5 the very next week?

I find it somewhat "typical", but I don't pay much attention to polls for obvious reasons.

I was thinking....this is as high or almost nearly as if LSU had just won @UF.  We could potentially be ahead of Notre Dame, but no way they jump Bama, Clemson, OSU.
It doesn't really matter, the rankings will sort themselves out.  Still feeling pretty good about my contention LSU is an 8-4 team or better.  I did try to tell the doubters.
I have uncharacteristically been spectacularly wrong about individual games, though....worst season I can remember in years.  So far I have been wrong about LSU vs. Auburn, Florida, and Georgia, all the "big" games except Miami, which was a long time ago.
Since I'm on such a roll I would like to take this time to confidently declare that we will definitely lose to Alabama, for sure.

Blah blah blah....every year Alabama scampers through its lame ass schedule and has a Heisman qb, and then they run up on a real defense from the bayou and they stumble their way across the finish line with anti-voodoo charms and zebraic intervention.  Stomping Tua will be satisfying after losing to Mississippi State.

I’m watching the Miss St LSU game closely. We play em next week. If LSU can stop MSU’s run game we can too.
