That says something about FSU, I think.

According to ftbobs, the SEC "flat-out dominated the 90's."  (Go figure, it dominated the aughts and the teens too, far as I can tell.)  Florida dominated the SEC in the 90's (my assessment, not his).  And as I recall, while it would probably be erroneous to say FSU dominated Florida, they easily had the upper hand.

1990Tennessee
1991Florida
1992Alabama
1993Florida
1994Florida
1995Florida
1996Florida
1997Tennessee
1998Tennessee
1999Alabama
2000Florida

You can imagine Georgia fans in that era being discontented.  Only three programs won the SEC in the 90s.

Not nearly as discontented as LSU fans were in the 90's.

Proud of that goal line stand, but it won't matter if we lose.

FSU had the edge, sure.
But winning our NC against them in 96 was special.
And the following year, knocking them out of the NCG was delicious, too.
We always had the SECCG the following week - something they didn't have to worry about in the 90s.  That's what's facing playoff teams nowadays, but Florida's been dealing with a 3-game gauntlet since 1992.

The Dawgs parlayed the 3 TOs into some momentum and points, though that Gator goal line stand was a something.

The main difference I see in the teams is that Fromm is better than Franks.

It's hard not to get greedy once your team has overperformed a little.  I'd have taken 6-2 in the preseason, but it's weird because of the loss to UK and not LSU.

It's still crazy how differently 2 teams can stack up against each other year to year.  Florida dominated UGA 2 years ago, then we got trounced last year.  This year, the teams were pretty even.  The turnovers were the difference, of course.

I wish Franks knew how to fall down better.  I know that sounds weird, but he's 6'6" and seems to fall down in stages.  He looks goofy doing it and it causes him to have an inordinate number of fumbles.

Georgia earned the win.  I'm not going to be cheering for ya'll or anything, but you were a worthy adversary.

UK fans can be excused for being greedy.  I'm sure they would have taken a 7-1 record and win at Florida.

I'll take any season we beat Florida.
