Any way we can customize how everything is organized?

I'd rather have the conference boards all at the top (not sure the team ones will even be used much).

That said, I noticed some mistakes in which conferences teams are in the G5 conferences. Here are the current alignments:

American - UCF, USF, HOU, MEM, SMU, TULSA, TULANE, NAVY, CONN, CIN, TEM, ECU
CUSA - MAR, CHAR, ODU, FAU, FIU, UAB, WKY, MTSU, USM, LT, RICE, NTX, UTEP, UTSA
SB - ULL, ULM, TXST, ARST, APP, CCU, USA, TROY, GASO, GAST, NMSU*, ID*
MWC - COST, WYO, UNM, AFA, USU, BOI, UNLV, NEV, FRES, SJSU, SDSU, HAW
MAC - NIU, BALL, WMU, CMU, EMU, TOL, BG, MOH, OHIO, KENT, AKR, BUFF
IND - MASS, ND, ARMY, BYU
(The WAC no longer exists as a football conference)

*Both leaving the Sun Belt after next year, I think. NMSU is staying in FBS as an independent while Idaho is dropping to the Big Sky.

or have the team board as sub-boards, hidden with a drop menu option? the current setup is way to busy.

there is a little drop down to the far right of each conference- green when expanded, gray when collapsed... will this work? 

I had to hand jam every damn one of the teams i've got on here- and then dump them in conferences to the best of my memory.  i'm having trouble finding some helmets, but mostly of teams that are recent 1A (sorry- the whole FBS/FSB thing is still alien to me)...

what I was trying to do is make this thing as mobile friendly as possible....

the categories (B10,B12,P12,SEC, ect..) will be collapsed or expanded 'how you left them'- meaning if you log in and collapse all that busy crap (and you're right, it was STUPID busy until i buried the teams) it is actually kinda spartan (empty looking).

thoughts? 

believe me- I'll set the thing up however you guys like- so long as it's within my skillset, that is....

Collapsing each conference does clean it up well. 

It does require an extra click to get to a conference board, though.  Before, the individual school logos were within the main conference page, but now they're all listed. 

Not a big deal to me, but some might not care for that extra click to get into the main board of a conference.

the thought process behind the structure is that many if not most of the folks over there tend to stick to one conference- so a user would just have to enter the forum the first time and open the conference- from them forward (provided they're logged on) every time they enter the forum it will have just that conference expanded.... the folks that are here thus far, though, are CFN offseason regulars and tend to float around all the boards. 

it wasn't like that at first... I had to install a package to fix that... the categories (which look like conferences to y'all) are collapsed by default, now...

I've seen some folks here from the scout side- which are all team sites.  of course the only ones are tennessee fans as that is the only place I've mentioned it.  I don't want to forget about those fellas- which is why the team boards are so prominent.  we've always had the team boards available to us on the CFN side- but on the scout side they're a lot more compartmentalized- which means a member there would have to back out to google/msm/yahoo (whatever) to search, or spend twice the time drilling down through their top page..

I'm trying to strike a compromise.

alrighty fellers....

i'm going to start focus on the publishing side now.  make me up a list of stuff that needs to be done over here. 
I tried to use colors that aren't friggin' hard on the eyes, and used variations of gray....
the categories (conferences) are easier to distinguish now- but if it isn't accomplishing what you guys figure it should, let me know.
the teams ought to be tucked away under the conference board.  if this place gets busy, what I'll do is set up subdomains for schools and rig it pretty much exactly like scout does- which will offer freedom to do like 'fro said, and post links atop the conference boards.

the publishing site needs help- so i'll focus there and come back here hopefully to a list of stuff y'all want... my only thoughts are:

- we should remain mobile friendly
- not a lot of noise on the home page
- simple and intuitive to get around
