Rules for this Section

this works elsewhere, and there is no reason why it won't work here as well.  In effort to pull this off, please observe the following suggestions (rules suck- we're adults, so let's call it suggestions)

suggestion 1:  everyone has an opinion, and most folks live in a bubble rarely seeking exterior vantage. Because someone disagree's with you doesn't make them 'evil' or 'dumb' or any other derogatory term.  It means they see things differently and they likely have reasons for that. This joint is intended to be a place to share and discover the differences, and weigh their impact on your own.  It requires respect and regard for others.  Don't be a jack-ass.  Demonstrate respect even when the concept you're presented with is alien and void of your own values.

suggestion 2:  Don't say (type) anything you wouldn't want your grandmother hearing (reading).  Right now this board is public- but I'm considering making it private and only for known posters (migrating here from one of two sub-sites).  What is said, however, no matter how much you or I don't want it to, will impact your reputation elsewhere in the site here.

suggestion 3:  don't allow disagreements or spats originating here to bleed into other sections.  Likewise, refrain from speaking of politics, religion, opinions other than the sport and things surrounding it anywhere BUT here.

finally- and just a closing statement:  this place is open for members to post and comment and is the same as any other board in that regard.  But it also serves another purpose, which is a repository for threads that spin sideways on other boards and need a place to continue but not detract from the spirit of a sports forum.  So- be aware that unleashing a barrage in threads located on other boards that aren't easily recovered by sniping a few comments will be moved here to continue or to die.

have fun, y'all.
