The SEC got its own quiz.  If you're feeling up to it, try your hand at it, as well.

1. Paterno probably had the most overall losses to sheer longevity. I can't think of any unsuccessful coaches that lasted anywhere close to that long. Ferentz hasn't been around long enough to have more losses.

2. Hayes, Tressel*, Cooper

3. Top 5 for each school? For Michigan I believe it's Chad Henne, John Navarre, Elvis Grbac, Jim Harbaugh, and then maybe either Denard Robinson or Devin Gardner.

5. Ron Dayne, Anthony Davis, Mike Hart, Anthony Thompson

6. I'll say Anthony Davis for Wisconsin.

7. Braylon Edwards, Anthony Carter, Amani Toomer, Marquise Walker, and Jason Avant maybe.

8. (Blanking on their names, but I think they all played in the Tiller era)

10. Penn State

#4:

QB with more rushing than passing TDs: I don't know he is the only one, but Wilburn Hollis came to mind, immediately. And I looked up his stat line. https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/wilburn-hollis-1.html  (https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/wilburn-hollis-1.html)

He qualifies. as a QB in the Big Ten after 1956 who had more rushing TDs than passing TDs, and he was 2nd team All American as a junior in 1960 for the #2 Hawkeyes! Played 1959 -61. Injured and out after the 1st game in his senior year.

I'll give half a point for this.
Iowa had a QB with many more attempts than Hollis in 2 of his 3 years.  But he did run for more TDs than he passed.

The answer here is pretty obvious, as he's respected by all for his multi-tasking.

#5, Top passer ratings at Iowa.

I am guessing:

Chuck Long
Chuck Hartlieb
Matt Sherman
Brad Banks
Someone Else

I am only certain about Chuck Long and Someone Else.

10. Penn State

Maybe slow down a bit while reading each question?

Seems to me you have to take a half point away from yourself and give me 1.5 points, as the question had a false premise. Hollis was an All American! Wilburn Hollis had 14 rushing TDs and 7 passing TDs in his career.

Okay, then, it is Kenny Ploen, Iowa's 1956 Rose Bowl QB, who had 7 rushing TDs and 6 passing TDs in his career.

I think I am really scoring big, now.

You got me there. I am not even going to try to correct myself. I made up my own question, but to my credit, I also made up an answer.

His All-American status is irrelevant.  The fact that he was the backup QB for 2 years sort of cheats the question, no?  :72:

But this refers to my answer pertaining to top QB passing ratings which I miserably failed, as it was really Question # 3, and you correctly redirected me. And I think the above quote refers to Wilburn Hollis, who we should respect. A Mississippi kid who was a Boys Town kid before being an Iowa Hawkeye!

For #8 I'm going with Taylor Stubblefield and John Standeford. I know they lead in receptions so I'm going to assume they also lead in yardage.

After them, picking a third is hard. I'll go with Dorien Bryant.

@Briguy (https://www.cfb51.com/index.php?action=profile;u=1788) I don't think Moore will make the leaderboard for Purdue. He will likely only have 3 years in the Old Gold & Black before going to the NFL, where all of those other receivers were 4-year guys. Granted, extrapolating his Freshman numbers out to 3 years would put him tops in both career receptions and yards, but I expect some regression with the additional WR talent coming into the program--a lot more mouths to feed compared to the talent level around him last year.
