Inevitable with Orlando and Atlanta being unable to schedule better opposition than Louisville and Duke.

Boy, this sure would look good on the off-season thread.

Well, it's a something.  I fear the NS games are going to continue and become more common.  The money is there apparently, somehow.

They are easier to schedule.  UGA has three upcoming I think, all ACC teams.  The next is UVA which is a bit of a meh.

They are better than a home pastry game.

Just 2 of the 3 UGA NS games are against ACC teams. They play UVA in '20, Oregon in '22, and Clemson in '24. All in Atlanta.

Bama got into the NS trend because of the cancellation of two H/H series. The first being when Georgia Tech  asked out of the 2013/2014 games with Bama. At the time the Atlanta Sports Council had a tentative agreement with USC to play in their game in either (not both) of those years and the USC prefered opponent was Bama. As a result of that, Bama was contracted for both years. When Pete Carroll left USC after the 2009 season, all of that went out the window and VT and WVU were scheduled to play Bama.

The second was when Bama asked out of the 2016/2017 H/H series with Michigan State. Most likely because Saban knew his close friendship with Dantonio was going to be in jeopardy if those games ended as the previous two did with 49-7 and 38-0 Bama wins.
