Thanks for the classy post RTF, and congrats on the game. Bama was definitely the better team. Good luck in the final!
-
Congrats on the win, RTF.
Good luck against Clemson.
-
Congrats to the Tide, condolences to the Sooners. A couple of times I really thought OU was going to break back into that game. Alabama is just really, really, ridiculously good.

Against my better judgment I found myself rooting for Kyler Murray to lead a complete and successful comeback. I love that kid. Of all successful opposing quarterbacks, Kyler tops the charts. He's like a pouty little diva who can run like a minnow in a bucket and throw with touch. I love that kid.

I hope he gives up his last year of eligibility and goes to the MLB or NFL.

Pretty sure he's already made that decision-- he's MLB-bound now, I believe.

can't ya play in MLB and college football?
I thought I remember a former Horn doing this
-
Cedric Benson and Ricky Williams both took MLB money, played in the minors, gave up their football scholarships and used their MLB money to pay for college.
Imagine how much better they could've been for the Horns if they had concentrated on football.
-
just think how poorly Kyler Murray will play for the Sooners next season if he does the same
-
I wish him a great career in the As org. Meanwhile I hope Lincoln can get out his Heisman divining rod and uncover another amazing QB from the reject pile. Best news for Soonerdom was that they extended his HC contract.

Knowing Lincoln Riley, he'll probably get Shane Buechele as a grad transfer and turn him into a nicer Baker Mayfield or a slower Kyler Murray.

You got to admit. That Baker is a snarky kid.

True he is ... but he's had quite an impact nevertheless. At the game Sunday, most of the jerseyfied Browns fans had "Mayfield 6" on their backs, like this guy sitting right in front of us:

Poor Cleveland.
-
poor Mayfield
-
He set an NFL record that day for most passing TDs for a rookie QB, and Cleveland finished 7-8-1, which is a far cry from the 0-16 season they had last year.
Anyway, despite (or perhaps even partially due to) his snarktitude, I like Baker, and he's given the Browns a much needed boost this year.
I'll tell you though, going to an NFL game is a whole 'nother experience from what my son and I normally do, which is go to MLB games. As we were standing in line to get through security, one 30 something woman was barfing in front of us, another lost her balance and would have fallen straight to the ground if her also wasted husband hadn't grabbed her, and then suddenly from behind some guy comes barrelling into me completely blasted, full of apologies and whatnot. And all that happened before we even got in the stadium. We had good seats in an entertaining section - the folks behind us were yelling "run the g-d- ball" at the top of their lungs every time the Ravens had it, and of course the Browns were reviled with all manner of epithets whenever they had it.
It was a great time. And you see, as a lifelong Cowboys fan, I can get into the Ravens. They are a local team and they are NOT the Redskins. And they actually play defense. As a Sooner fan, this makes me kind of nostalgic! I'm sure we'll be back ...
