Joining Michigan and Michigan State playing an opponent they've faced multiple times already in recent years.
-
Is this a joke?
-
Ha, the Miami players and fans were wearing ski masks when it was like 50 degrees in that Floridian Bowl Game between these two teams.
Hoping for a blizzard game in this bad boy.
-
won't be any Canes fans attending
if I were a Badger fan, I wouldn't be there either
-
Canes lost a dandy of a bowl game in the old Yankee Stadium to Nebraska. Back when it was the Gotham Bowl. 4,000 made it through the sleet and misery. Hoping for the same.
-
I'm hoping only 400 make it this year
hoping this bowl dies before Nebraska is sentenced to attend
-
I'd much rather play a southern team in NY than in Florida... again. I'm fine with that bowl game. Nice change of pace.
-
There are a lot of UW alumni in New York. It should be pretty well attended. A different foe would be nicer though. I guess someone figured Miami deserved a rematch.
-
Both were preseason top ten teams, back in the day.
A buddy of mine is a big Miami fan and was elated to get CMR from us. I counseled him to be patient on that. He's no longer elated.
I know folks will complain about Smart, often for good reason, but he's better than Richt already.
-
This is a rematch of the two nicest coaches in college football.
-
Mike Riley belonged in that conversation.

agreed, only if the bowl means something
with two 7 win teams I'd rather go south and play golf

NYC is better suited for an ACC-B1G early September challenge, not a bowl game.
If they want a "wintry" bowl, move the Pinstripe to Denver.
-
I doubt many people (even those who attend) will care about this game. That said, despite the weather, NYC for the holidays will be a treat for those who are there. I can imagine both the teams and fans enjoying that experience. If they have to play/watch a pointless football game, that's probably fine, too. But I doubt many sets will tune in. Mine probably won't. That may be a first.
-
This will be my last chance to watch Wisconsin football for 9 months. You can bet your ass I'll be watching.

or Minneapolis and play inside "the Bank"

Sounds like Jack Coan will start for UW in this one. His Dad made a tweet about it. Burning the 'shirt.
Hornibrook may be done with football too. Concussion symptoms are back. I feel bad for the kid. He gave it all he had, which wasn't much by the end of the year. But he gave it.
-
Giving it is a something.
I still remember a bowl in Orlando when it was chilly and the Miami players were all huddled up and the Wisconsin players were in short sleeves making a statement. That was hilarious to me. I guess it was about 45°F or so. In Orlando.
It was amazingly hot when we stayed in Miami Beach. It was like Houston.

There will be Miami supporters present. Much of Florida consists of NYC transplants. I don't like football being played in baseball stadia, though.
Last year's Pinstripe was especially cold, but NYC is mostly not as bad weather-wise as the Midwest in December.
-
Since starting 10-0 last year, Miami is 7-8.
Since starting 12-0 last year, Wisconsin is 8-6.
It can get pretty cold in FL. The coldest game I ever played was a playoff game in Daytona Beach - rainy and 40 degrees. They kicked our butts. Ugh. But I always wore short sleeves and no-show socks.
I guess many of you won't be happy until they hold the national championship in the North Dakota Bowl, played within a large ring of frozen bison.

Yeah, but will it be all 3,296 of them?
-
There's a truck I'll see in traffic when I'm leaving work - I've seen it 3-4 times this year. Decked out, celebrating the '72 Dolphins. Some crummy-ass, faded out truck in SW Phoenix.
The 70s Dolphins, specifically, have more fans than the Miami Hurricanes.

After looking at this game, I can confidently say I’d rather they play Buffalo. Oh well.
I’d still like UW to win, but for that, there needs to be one, maybe more of three thing s happening.
1. Taylor is a beast, like 200-plus yards
2. Coan is acceptable, which he hasn’t been most of the year (with the receivers actually stepping up)
3. The defense plays well
Miami is great on D, but down a DC. It’s explosive running the ball and horrendous throwing. A win would be nice.

I think Diaz is coaching in this game.

Atended the 2014 season Pinstripe of Penn St Vs BC college and was glad to have bundled up, especially once temps steeply dropped at sunset.

It appears he is. If he would like to be distracted, I would prefer that.

Was in Tucson last week. It was in the 50s and 60s during the day. About 10-20 degrees different than NE Iowa. We were 46F today in NE Iowa.
First time in 27 years we lived here we didn't have a white Christmas. I did weight training for the 1st time in 4-years today, and then ran about .6 miles home.
Usually, running is not so good here this time of year. Today running was great! At 7 p.m. it was about 36F.

Way to go Wisconsin.

This is how I envision Badge
(https://i.ibb.co/nQLhjpN/Dvdet-Xp-Uc-AEYy1-N.jpg) (https://ibb.co/nQLhjpN)
watching the game...

I think it's accurate. Don't think the TV is outside tonight --- in the rain.
-
Minus the pimped out LED backlights... pretty close. Tree is to the right even. That TV looks bigger than mine too. I'm limited by window placements here so mine is "only" a 55" now.
-
That looked like "Wisconsin football", and not remotely like "Miami football".
Something is obviously wrong with the Canes. They remind me a lot of a team I watched a few years back.
