No pads, no helmets, so not football. No ice or skates, has a goal on each side of a big football field, but not hockey. And it's on every TV here.
Anyway, it does not appear I'll be seeing any football today. Gonna get out on the town again and do some more Amsterdam stuff. The place is a lot of fun.
-
Back when I was in Europe my buddy went to Amsterdam and went into one of the coffeeshops. He told them to give him the best they've got. Apparently they gave him some sort of shrooms, and he was was beyond messed up. So go do that badge.
-
I'd stick with the local suds in Holland/netherlands/Belgium

I once was "arguing" about what was the second most popular sport in the world. It could be some Chinese sport we've never heard of, or Australian Rules Football.
-
glad I'm not stuck in some part of the world I couldn't watch college football in November
lucky for Badge, he scheduled well.
It's only Rutgers
no schrooms in my coffee this morning, but I'll be watching Nebraska, Iowa State and A&M at 11am.
-
I was "stuck in Brazil" a few years back trying to get Internet updates on a Dawgs game, very frustrating as the hotel Internet was Intermittent.
FWIW, I didn't think much of Brazil.
-
I've finally gotten to a badly needed bye week. Been crazy busy the last couple of weekends with something that I'll tell you about shortly.
-
A bonanza today of interesting matchups glad I can take it in. Very difficult week professionally. A lot of high quality folks around me got let go in a round of 'restructuring'. I've never prepared so many corporate resolutions in such a short amount of time.

My boss told me that he and his girlfriend went there and sampled the hash bar... Some of the MJ had a certain number of red dots next to it, which neither of them understood. So they just went middle of the road and ordered the stuff with 3 dots [out of 5]...
Turns out it was laced with psilocybin, and they ended up tripping balls...

Should be a fun day - OSU-Nebraska will probably feature a lot of offense. Iowa-Purdue and UM-PSU are good afternoon tilts, and I'll be peeking at Georgia and Kentucky. ND-Northwestern can bridge us to Bammer-LSU, for however long that game is a contest. It's how all Saturdays should be.

Over a decade ago, I thought I’d be without college football on a little island country in Southeast Asia when an upstart company developed a little gray box called a slingbox. The amazing little thing was hooked up to my parents cable box in little Brook Park Ohio and streamed their cable over the internet to a condo 12,000 miles away, where a small laptop was rigged up to mirror itself on a 27” tube tv. The technology and idea of
streaming cable changed the way all of us watch tv and luckily gave me a connection to the states and my favorite world of collegiate football.
-
He, somehow LJ Scott is injured again?
-
Buckeyes already look hopeless on defense
-
Man, the Buckeye defense somehow looks worse after the bye week
-
Nebraska with a very easy drive rushing the ball, and they are up 7-0.
-
Welp. Nebraska kicker just more or less whiffs on the kickoff, which goes backwards. Pretty sure I've never seen a backwards kickoff before.
-
Might have been our best drive running the ball all season.
-
To no effect. OSU runs four times, and they aren't any good at running, so they turn it over on downs.
-
Might have been our best drive running the ball all season.
All it takes is a media-driven fabricated story about a toxic culture which allows a head coach to come back in the middle of a frantic a year on a fractured team.
-

BAMN
-
Well, OSU forcing an honest to goodness three and out. Been a while.
-
He, somehow LJ Scott is injured again?
And Maryland without Ty Johnson, I'll take that trade off.
-
And then block a punt. Nebraska kicking game is rough. 7-2.
-
High winds will hurt an already shaky passing game, for like the 7th game this season.
Has Iowa repeat written all over it.
-
Should be a mellow day today... We're taking the eldest out for sushi for lunch, then watching Purdue while my wife replaces the Halloween decorations with fall/Thanksgiving, and then I'll be grilling burgers. I think we're going to have UCLA/Oregon on for the evening slate, despite Bama/LSU on, since there's more interest in this house in both UCLA and Oregon with UCLA being local and a lot of her family having moved up to Oregon and becoming Ducks fans...
Mmm.... Burgers....
-
Oh, and it should be 85 and sunny :)
-
Buckeyes back to the Air Raid, up 9-7
-
Lewerke hasn't shown anything to make me think he's healthy enough to be throwing the ball.
-
Lewerke hasn't shown anything to make me think he's healthy enough to be throwing the ball.
GIVE US ROCKY
-
Buckeyes able to run the ball a little bit and get another touchdown. 16-7
-
GIVE US ROCKY
Lewerke has killed them running, but they'll figure that out, and it hurts their other running plays
-
Jordan Fuller having a rough game
-
OSU defense does things that makes you think none of them understand how football works. There they gave a ten yard cushion to a receiver who needed five yards for a first down.
-
Then Nebraska QB wings it backwards to a covered guy who drops it, and OSU recovers the fumble
-
That's why he's a 4th string punter
-
OSU punts against Nebraska for first time in 3 games
-
Oh no. Jordan Fuller flagged for targeting. He hasn't been good tody, but Pryor is hurt, which means Wint would come in. Oh no.
-
Thompson with a really stupid targeting to get himself booted, and hand Maryland a 1st down on what would have been 3rd and 10
-
I hate that targeting call btw. It's everything wrong with the rule in one play.
-
Thompson with a really stupid targeting to get himself booted, and hand Maryland a 1st down on what would have been 3rd and 10
Targeting removed, roughing the passer stands. So still hands Maryland a first down, but Thompson can stay.
-
That would have been an ejection for Maryland.
-
No stats to back it up, but this has to be MSUs best DL at getting hands up to bat balls down.
-
That would have been an ejection for Maryland.
Obviously
-
Obviously
Absolutely
-
We may have a targeting fest here in Columbus. I don't think that is targeting because he isn't a defenseless player. But it really isn't any different than the other play except the Nebraska guy dropped the ball.
-
Haskins gets lit up and fumbles, Nebraska gets ball back
-
Oh no. Jordan Fuller flagged for targeting. He hasn't been good tody, but Pryor is hurt, which means Wint would come in. Oh no.
Brandon White came in.
Targeting sucks. I guess this weeks version is you can spear someone with your helmet as long as he is not defenseless
-
Our staff is having their worst game of the year. Lewerke needs to be taken out. Then you punt on 4th and 6 at the 35 with 21 seconds left?
-
Husker oline destroying Buckeye dline right now
-
Louisville quitting on the season. But I guess we knew that last month when GA Tech ran them out of the stadium. Down to Clemson 28-3.
-
Huskers punish OSU on the ground, 16-14
-
You know how many times I've seen players swinging at other players after a play is over?
But we get a guy disqualified after a play for swinging at someone and there's no replay of it?
RB gets thrown back 6 yards but the play isn't called Dead?
-
Our staff is having their worst game of the year. Lewerke needs to be taken out. Then you punt on 4th and 6 at the 35 with 21 seconds left?
Apparently they trust Maryland to go 50 yards in two plays more than their own to go 6 in one.
-
OSU fumbles again, and Nebraska recovers again
-
And they score again. OSU dline absolutely ineffective right now. Getting pushed all over the field.
-
Ohio State really starting to get pushed around. And every other commercial is a Christmas commercial.
-
And they score again. OSU dline absolutely ineffective right now. Getting pushed all over the field.
They are tired. Offense keeps turning it over, and they also keep helping the Huskers keep drives alive with stupid penalties.
-
I'm a defensive guy so I have to give credit where credit is due. That Michigan State Defense is absolutely amazing. Almost everyone wins their one-on-one battles and is in the right Gap.
-
Well, that was lucky. I hate that rule. IMO any fumble forward, particularly into the end zone, recovered by the offense, should come back to the point of the fumble.
-
I get that he's a 4th string walk on punter. But there has to be a former soccer player on campus who could do better than multiple punts of 12 yards or less.
-
Neither offense can get out of their own way. Can't imagine any neutral fans are watching this.
-
Matt Canada for president.
-
Not sure what's been happening, went to take a shower and come back to see OSU score
-
If there was a way to hand out a double L, these teams deserve it
-
Not sure what's been happening, went to take a shower and come back to see OSU score
Same as before. Drove down the field with easy but Haskins threw a pick. Got it back and this time didn’t turn it over for the first time in 4 possessions ....TD.
-
Not sure I've been a fan of a more cursed team.
-
Well, that's a hell of a swing. Maryland fumbles going in to make it 17-10. Next play MSU makes it 24-3 instead
-
Nebraska receivers have butter fingers in the second half.
-
Fuck you ESECPN.
You drove the narrative despite being proven wrong. Hitting and focusing on just the right notes to help the lawyer destroy public image.
-
Huh. Maybe Nebraska should have gone for it.
-
Love the jet sweep action that has been added.
-
Fuck you ESECPN.
You drove the narrative despite being proven wrong. Hitting and focusing on just the right notes to help the lawyer destroy public image.
That’s what they are good at.
-
Free win.
Well "earned".
-
Free win.
Well "earned".
Next time you're at the grocery check the expiration of the grapes
-
OSU incapable of putting the game away
-
Jesus Clemson has 77 on the fighting Petrinos of Louisville. Maybe they should have followed those fake stories firing him
-
6 point game. "Oh Sam how could you think this would be a game"
-
Bucks with a shocking ability to run the ball late
-
How, under any circumstances, do you end up with a LB covering Spielman??
-
You couldn't play softer defense than the Buckeyes on that drive, capped off by the plan of having Pete Werner cover JD Spelman in man coverage. Werner struggles covering stationary targets, and can't quite handle one of the best receivers in the conference.
-
Army clinches the CiC Trophy.
-
How, under any circumstances, do you end up with a LB covering Spielman??
Hopefully someone missed an assignment,I'd like to think Schiano & Grinch wouldn't overlook that
-
Hey, I'm just happy they got the win there. On to Michigan State.
-

No doubt- no LB can cover him in plus they ran a pick play, totally legally because they did it right.
The silver linings: damn near had 2 RBs with 100 yards, better in the red zone. Far fewer missed tackles. Still- way too many costly penalties and three uncharacteristic turnovers.
-
WVU kicks a FG on its first drive of the game. 3-0. No call on a blatant PI on 3rd down killed the drive.
-
Michigan with a big time drive to open things up
-
Texas scores a TD. 7-3. Ehlinger throws a jump ball on under all kinds of pressure on 3rd down and Humphrey comes down with it at the 1. Punched it in from there.
-
It seems Harbaugh waste plays just to let his o'line hit the d-line one more time. If it works that's fine, but it's frustrating to watch.
-
Refs getting way too involved in Austin. David Sills scores a TD and gives the horns down signal in the back of the end zone for two seconds and gets a flag.
On the XP WVU’s starting LT gets tangled up with a UT player and gives him a little open hand shot to the face and gets ejected.
Total bullshit. WVU ends up kicking off from the 10. UT driving.
-
14-10 Texas.
-
Lions fumble it away
-
Learned today that apparently, air-bowling after a sack, is NOT unsportsmanlike either.
-
Texas up 14-10 at the end of 1. WVU with 8 penalties for 70 yards in the first quarter and a couple were weak sauce. Grier goes out of the game after being bent back awkwardly but walked off. WVU driving.
-
Really nice throw by Patterson.
-
Wow. Iowa just benefited from the worst bunch of bs penalties I've seen. 30 yards of nothing. I'm sick of Purdue being on the losing end if this crap.
-
21-17 Texas. Back and forth it goes.
-

That's hilarious. Pushoff for the TD???
-
That's hilarious. Pushoff for the TD???
I wouldn't have had a problem with a call there.
What does it have to do with my statement?
The refs gave Iowa 30 yards on 1 play for nothing. Kick catch interference aside, when was the last time a coach got a 15 yard sideline penalty without a warning first?
-
Man Penn State can't get out of it's own way
-
24-21 WVU. WVU hasn’t ran the ball this well all year.
-
Injuries mounting up for Texas. Starting DE and CB already out for the game. Another DL just went out with a shoulder injury.
-

So in 1 breath you say 30 yards for nothing, in the next the PCI call is fine, it's the 2nd penalty you're mad about.
Being mad about the Unsportsman-like is fine, bitching about the first call is ridiculous.
-
28-24 Texas. Neither team can get a stop.
-
Blough 52 yd TD beautiful toss
-

I never said I was fine with the interference call. I think it was a bad call.
The Iowa PR made an extremely late fair catch signal. The Purdue defender backed off and avoided any meaningful contact, yet got a penalty. (When I say meaningful, I mean he brushed his jersey against his shoulder, lol,).
Then the sideline penalty. Right before halftime. 30 yards. C'mon
-
continue to be thoroughly unimpressed with Harbaugh and Pep Hamilton as offensive coaches.
This team is physically man handling Penn State just like they did Michigan State, and like that game only up 14. They should be up at least 28-0 and they should’ve beaten Sparty by 30.
They are about as elite as it gets on one side of the ball. Their offense? Trash. They’ll get slaughtered in the playoffs if they made it, bc the offense won’t be able to score points on the best of the best.
-
Sean McKeon is trash.

I think they are extremely lucky to be up 14-0. PSU had a TD wiped off the board and another easy TD that McSorley overthrew.
-
Ya the fumble return was a kick in the cajones
-
LOL!
Tre Watson was ejected and never left his feet, never hit the helmet!
What a joke.

What game are you watching?

Nah.
Game should be 42-0 right now. Penn State is being physically beat down.

Yeah. That was def targeting on the PSu kid.
-
Every Chris Evans carry is becoming a wasted play.
-
Gentry is such a stud.
-
PSU has 90 total yards and 44 yards were at the end of the 1st half against prevent defense. I’m not sure how anyone can say Michigan is lucky to be winning. This has been a dominant one-sided game.
-
21-0 ,why is it PSU/UM seem to waylay each other every other year.Yet tOSU & PSU goes down to the final whistle
-
Purdue Iowa is a barnburner
-

Are you serious? PSU should have two touchdowns.
-
In other news, Fleck is a con man.
Film at 10.
-
Are you serious? PSU should have two touchdowns.
Should have? you’re funny. Many touchdowns could happen if you ignore the penalty on the play.
Must be some thick goggles today because this game isn’t close in score nor game play.

36-35 Iowa

Michigan Fans: "If you take away these fifteen plays, we were unstoppable!"
Everyone else: "What about those plays where the other team should have scored?"
Michigan Fans: "Are you crazy how can you play this if then game just give us some credit!"
-
The gravity of the o-line, added to the mass of Higdon drew in the linebackers. Paterson's pass reached escape velocity and viola: TD. Relativity at it's best.
-
This Purdue Iowa game is awesome

Don’t typecast me with all Michigan fans. Michigan has 3x the total yards, winning 28-0, dominating the TOP, dominating field possession and have only given up 31 yards on the ground.
So again, what game are you watching? Uh oh.. Michigan should have scored again if it weren’t for that holding. So unfair that there’s a penalty because it should have been a td.

I'm saying Michigan was lucky that PSU didn't have two touchdowns in the first half, which is obvious to anyone with eyes. My post was in response to the notion that Harbaugh was garbage that the score was 14-0.
-
31-27 Texas going into the 4th. Good game.
-

I have eyes and the only thing obvious is Michigan dominated this game from start to finish. That’s not a Michigan homer statement, it’s just blatant fact.
-
This Purdue Iowa game is awesome
I disagree!
-
About to watch Northwestern, who has a real chance to go winless in the nonconference and win the division and potentially the conference
-
I have eyes and the only thing obvious is Michigan dominated this game from start to finish. That’s not a Michigan homer statement, it’s just blatant fact.
They were very good, and they were lucky. These aren't two different statements.
-
I have eyes and the only thing obvious is Michigan dominated this game from start to finish. That’s not a Michigan homer statement, it’s just blatant fact.
It’s actually an understatement. It is as complete a domination as I can remember.
This Michigan team is special. I Truly hope and believe we will get to see them against Bama and/ or Clemson. I will not be betting against them in either game.
-
38-36 Purdue wit.08 left in W.L.
-
Purdue wins, and Northwestern in the driver's seat
-
Texas kicks a FG on 4th and 1 to make it 34-27. I think they should have went for it. They have been gashing WVU on the ground.
-
Watching a bunch of these teams, I'm becoming convinced after the first couple teams, there's really no difference between like #7 and #40. 3 SEC teams, Clemson, ND, Michigan and Oklahoma. There's your 7 team playoff. Behind them, blah.
-

Nah.. they just got lucky today. Actually a very close game.
-
If you take away all of Penn State's yards Michigan pitched a complete shutout today. Very impressive.

Put down the pipe. You’re the only one that thinks Michigan was lucky or the game was close.
-
Put down the pipe. You’re the only one that thinks Michigan was lucky or the game was close.
On replay, every positive play Michigan gave up was against a prevent defense where Michigan's defense literally just laid down and let them have move the ball. When they were trying, complete annihilation.
-

You are acting like a butthurt moron. Please stop.
Penn State was physically manhandled.
Their defense gave up oh about a million yards rushing to Michigan.
Michigan’s D has 6 sacks and held Penn State’s offense to 185 total yards and 7 garbage time points.
That is domination. Period.
-

I agree, and I think a couple of those you mention will get weeded out. Right now I think there are 3. Bama, Clemson and Michigan. I wouldn’t give Oklahoma, ND, Georgia much chance against the other three.
-
Texas WVU a heck of a game
-
Nah.. they just got lucky today. Actually a very close game.
Sorry Super, I disagree;)

Tied at 34 in Austin. 5:40 to play.

By God I've never seen a team rush for a million yards. Good job Michigan truly a great effort. Plus if you take away the plays where Penn State should have been called for for roughing the water boy they would have had 3 million yards. I propose we just add those extra 2 million yards into the stats as it would be unfair to Michigan otherwise.

I agree MDOT, so when I saw your post earlier about Michigan’s offense I thought you were drunk. Lol. The offense is really good now. They can move the ball, steal the clock, and put points up.
You really don’t want an offense that puts up a point a minute— inevitably defense gets tired and opposing offense gets more at bats.
You can run, you can throw and the qb can hurt you badly on the ground. I really think this team is special.
-
41-34. Texas picks up a key 3rd down on a blatant pick play right in front of the ref then hits a long pass. Damn.
-
Texas-WVU is fun
-
Mizzou death rolled the gators.
-
Penn State played extremely almost good.
-
Emu fired up the Chips.
Although Western has already clinched the MI Mac Trophy.
-
Holy moly
-
Pettaway was the top ranked recruit in MI for 2016 when the first rankings came out. MSU was his first offer, then his stock plummeted and it seemed like most of his P5 offers were uncommittable and that he was going to wind up at WMU. He looks like a stud out there.
And holy hell WVU
-
Will WVU go for it?
-
Wow. When was the last time that Purdue beat three ranked teams in a season... in football?
-
Not sure yet if they're going to get the 2pt conversion, but jesus Holgorsen has some gigantic titanium balls going for 2, huh?
-
Wow. When was the last time that Purdue beat three ranked teams in a season... in football?
Pretty damn impressive. Great coaching.
-
Wow... WVU up 42-41 with 16 seconds left...
-
Too early to do something that stupid
-
Mountaineers!
-
Attaboy, WV.

Well, it's the B12... It's not like you expect anyone to play defense.

Down goes Mensa boy.

WVU wins an instant classic in Austin. That game took 5 years off my life.
-

I meant the penalty.
-
TD Irish
-
I meant the penalty.
Fair enough. Agreed. Can't afford to give up field position, even if there's only 16 seconds left.
-
What a great weekend for football!
Purdue finally won a close game :06: :djparty:
-
Oh my, army cadets snagged the AFA falcon and it has suffered a life threatening injury. Not cool.
-
I agree, and I think a couple of those you mention will get weeded out. Right now I think there are 3. Bama, Clemson and Michigan. I wouldn’t give Oklahoma, ND, Georgia much chance against the other three.
I most certainly would put ND in there and I hate them. They just may have the best O-Line in CFB
-
team with a decent O-line should put up more than 7 on Northwestern in the half
-
The way they are talking about Devon White and his presence he better enter the game Royal Rumble style in the 3rd qtr.
-
well, the Huskers gave Urban a run for his money and a reason to have a headache tonight
covered the spread
I could have asked for more, but it wouldn't have been realistic
-
If wva guy got tossed for that how does ou lineman stay?
-
team with a decent O-line should put up more than 7 on Northwestern in the half
NU lost by 3 to Michigan and beat Purdue - it ain't over til it's over
-
Somehow a worse kick than the N inside today
-
Duke v Miami one of the soggiest fields you'll see in this era.
-
The Canes kicker hit his snapper w that kick.
-
Somehow a worse kick than the N inside today
I'd have to see it to believe it
-
The bama pat attempt traveled 1 yard. The hold was botched a bit
-
can't blame the holder for the botched onsides kick
-
NW was out of it but get a touchdown and now block a punt and they have life
-
Northwestern TD!
-
it's interesting
-
ND back up by 10
-
Top 4 are Alabama, Clemson (not necessarily in that order), Notre Dame, and Michigan (in that order, but maybe not after the CFP).
-
Yeah, I'd pick Michigan over ND now on a neutral field, but ND is undefeated with a head to head win, so as a resume advocate, I think ND should probably be ranked ahead
-
LSU offense did its D no favors tonight. D played their tails off most of the night.
Meanwhile, seemingly every break going TT way so far. Too bad about Bowman, Duffey is.....yeesh. XII back to delivering entertainment again this season after a blah season last year.

It's kind of terrifying how ho hum Alabama just delivered a 30 point shutoit road win over the #3 team in arguably the toughest environment in college football.
There have been more dominating performances, but it's almost more terrifying how business like Alabama was in picking up the most impressive win of the year
-
One of these plays Texas Tech won't whine for a PI call
-
The bama pat attempt traveled 1 yard. The hold was botched a bit
Our kicking game is so bad. I’m starting to think there’s an inverse relationship with the kicking game and how good the rest of the team is.
-
That feels warranted after how many bounces TT has gotten
-
Texas Tech going for two to tie the game and OU picks it and takes over 100 yards the other way for two. Very rare play. In the 1994 Backyard Brawl WVU had a 100 yard INT return for 2. Don’t see that too often.
44-40 Sooners with about 6 minutes left.
-
Off all day today for first time this season on Saturday. It's been nice.

Picked a good Saturday for that
-
It looked to me like that OL lined up at FB just picked up the TT QB and threw him in. Is that allowed now?
-
Yeah, they removed the 'push' rule a few years ago, not that they enforced it much anyways (see Bush Push).
-
TT did get every possible break and call their way tonight. Too bad about Bowman, that guy has taken a beating this year.
btw: I noticed the Umpire holding up the snap to allow subs by Wash tonight on a play where Stanford didn't sub. That was egregious, considering the running clock and no timeouts for Stanford. Do I not fully understand that rule.
-
OMG Wazzu. wtf. A likely pick six, and then he's tackled at the 3, fumbles, and it isn't recovered in the end zone, and squeaks out the end zone. Loud trombone.
-
Rerun of Maryland play today.
-
Yeah, they removed the 'push' rule a few years ago, not that they enforced it much anyways (see Bush Push).
Yeah, I knew they got rid of the push rule. But he looked like he grabbed his jersey and threw him
-
Oh man. Wazzu picks off a pass and it looks like it’s going to be a pick 6. Kid fumbles it at the 3 into the end zone. His teammate falls right on top of it only to somehow have it squirt out and go out the back of the end zone. Touchback.
13-10 Cougs in the 3rd but Cal got the ball back and is driving.
-
Wow. Cal is driving for the go ahead score in a tie game and brings in their running QB to, presumably, run it. They show a QB sweep look but all of a sudden he lobs it toward the end zone to an open man. But being the running QB he is he overthrows his receiver into the waiting arms of a Wazzu DB.
Cougs now deep in Cal territory with under 4 to play.
-
And Washington St misses a 30 yard FG to keep it tied. There have been some gut wrenching turns of events for both teams tonight.
-
Cal seems destined to pull this one out.
-
Cal seems destined to pull this one out.
Or not.
-
indeed. nice turn of events there. Oh geezus. some ST colossal gaffes this week on Saturday (which I assume is like every other Saturday).
-
Washington St goes against the convention that pass happy teams usually can’t play defense. They are very good defensively.
-
Tracy Claeys and Jerry Kill can coach
poor Gophers

I believe they led the Pac 12 in total defense last year. It was one of those surprising facts I learned when we played them in the Holiday Bowl
-
One fun thing about football is how illogical it can seem often as not. Upsets come out of nowhere. Team A can look awful one week and pretty good the next. I chalk it up to probability myself, but a lot of folks think Team A took their opponent cavalierly, or whatever.

Alex Grinch was responsible last year, now trying to help the Buckeyes
-
There are some VERY good 5-4 teams at the moment. Just an observation.
-
Alex Grinch was responsible last year, now trying to help the Buckeyes
Ya well Tyquan Lewis,Sam Hubbard & Jalyn Holmes went in the 2,3,4th rds off the D-Line and Trace Sprinkle playing on Sunday also.IMO Urbz missed the deepest D-Line he'll have and best chance to get back at the big dance, that team was deep
-
and apparently Urbz thought a Co-defensive coordinator might help
-
Alex Grinch was responsible last year, now trying to help the Buckeyes
Yeah, that hire hasn't worked as well as I figured it would
-
Why did you figure that?Because of the Co-coordinator thing
-
Because he probably should have been national assistant of the year last year. When has a Mike Leach team had a too 25 defense?
-
Crazy stat:
For the first time ever, Florida, FSU, and Miami all lost consecutive games.
-
So if Pitt beats VT, they can lose to either Wake or Miami and win the division. Pitt has expectations now (hold me). In the UVA game Narduzzi went for it on 4th and inches on his own 10 late in the half (actually the right call) and sent out Kessman to kick a 53 yarder in slop up by 7 late in the the fourth. Of course Kessman buried it becuase it was a 53 yarder and not a 35 yarder. Nothing ever makes sense with Pitt. This is probably the way things should be.

Went for it on 4th and inches from his own 10? Wow. Stones. I was having dinner with my wife and was caught some of that game. The field was a complete mess.

Fleck finally sacked DC Robb Smith.
This team is going to get wiped out down the stretch.

Nothing wrong with Schiano but I hope he would be moving on and making room for Grinch

And when does he sack is own #ELITE self?

Let's just say I'm on the boat, but I'm on the garbage scow coming around to pick up the survivors.

I wanted to check in on that, then the answer is oddly defuse. The top 25 ranking appears to be yards per game, which is a nice number, but tends to not be all that meaningful. Part of the reason he got there is because Washington state saw the fewest plays of any Leach defense. It’s actually had a few decent ones in terms of yards per play or S&P+, though the opponent adjustment in the really go go big 12 makes that weird.

I believe, at least going into the bowl game, it was still right on the border of being top 25 in S&P+ as well.
