Title: Status of Head Coaches in the SEC

WE had a LOT of turnover obviously last season.  I'm pondering how is UP, DOWN, and STABLE.

Saban - Duh.  Obviously on the hot seat for giving up 31 points last week to Arky.  Not.
Smart - In good shape but facing a QB thingee.
Mullen - So far, so good for Gator fans, a quick turnaround, so far.
Fisher - Probably stable, but fans will be looking for more soonish
Malzahn - Trending down, I think, but not yet in trouble
Muschamp - Stable, but a weak finish could trend him down.  
Stoops - Trending up, a lot of excitement even with a disappointing loss
Morris - Trending, well, I dunno, not up though.
Pruitt - I can hear some grumbling all the way down here, but he will get more time.  Need an SEC win this year though.
Moorhead - Trending up down down up down up
Mason - Coaches don't trend at Vandy.
Orgeron - Trending up, stabilizing in position I think
Odom - Stable, I think, they have had some bright spots and some tough losses.

I would say that unless Fisher totally falls off a cliff he’s totally stable here. We literally bet the farm with him so we can’t afford to change coaches for a long, long time. 

I think Fisher will be n good shape until year 5 and then the fan base is going to want at least an SEC championship or tight 2nd place to Bama.

Saban and Alabama have honestly skewed the expectations for other SEC coaches.  ADs can't demand SEC championships anymore, even at places like Florida, LSU, and Georgia.  With Alabama in the way, a coach has to luck out and try to get the SEC's 'other' playoff spot.  


Saban is kind of breaking the system.

My hope is that Jimbo will continue to build the program and be in position for a spot in the CFP by year 3. We don’t have to beat Bama to get in just as Bama didn’t have to win the SEC to get in last year. Heck, there may even be a year or two that Bama has two losses etc. I figure Saban will win 2-3 more championships and then maybe move on to another program.

I wonder/hope that Georgia is stocking the talent to compete with Alabama.  They got within an eyelash last year on the field.

I still don't know how that guy got so open, breakdown of some sort, nobody wants to name names.

According to 24/7, UGA signed seven 5* kids in this past class.  That's nuts.  Like all-time nuts.
