OSU gets a big test. Gameday will apparently be at TCU's campus, which is not far away. I haven't seen any of TCU this year, and I understand they have a new quarterback who is pretty athletic. The big thing for me is to see what OSU looks like when guys get in the way. I don't think Haskins will find wide open receivers and or have no pressure the whole game, so how will he look? Can the defense keep improving? TCU is quite experienced at playing offenses like OSU's, but OSU can't say the same.
-
The Robinson kid looks good, I think OSUs DBs and LBs will have their hands full. He's pretty accurate in the limited action I've seen.
I think the loser of this game might score around 30 points.
Which defense can get some timely stops?
Also interested in how the OSU o line will fair in this game, they haven't played anyone that could give them a challenge.
I think as long as Weber and Dobbins get their combined 30 touches, and Haskins is given some time they should score around 35ish which I think will be enough to pull this out. I love the collection of OSU WRs, you can't focus on 1 guy.
I'll take OSU 38-27 winners.

The Buckeyes'll be lucky to make it out of this one alive.
The Frawgs are no joke.

Wow. I mean, do you think Buckeye players will actually die here? I mean, I know the gun laws in Texas are a lot less restrictive than elsewhere, but....?
-
Well anything is possible I suppose. No hyperbole here, buddy.
-
Haskins will quickly show Buckeye nation how poor of a thrower Barrett was and put OsU in the same conversation as Alabama.
-
These two are not really in the same league, or time zone. OSU 45 - TCU 31.
-
TCU did not look good at all as much as I saw on Friday night

They got off to a pretty slow start but ended rolling SMU with ease. That said, if TCU gets off to another poor start vs tOSU it wont be pretty for them.
I don't see the Frogs with the talent to pull this one off. I'm guessing the Buckeyes win something like 47-34.
-
I'm afraid I'm going to be really annoyed with this game. It's getting hyped up, Game Day will be there, two explosive offenses, and two top Defenses. Should be an explosive battle. But I just feel one of these teams is going a 3 score lead, and the other team will kinda throw in the towel and we will have a
45-10 type game.
Hoping the Young Bucks are on the winning side.

Yeah, this isn't the same as the TCU team from a few years back. They're not going to roll over or anything, but I think tOSU is just going to out-athlete TCU down the stretch.

I hope your right. I still have nightmares about Iowa City last year.
-
the team in Iowa City and the atmosphere there is especially designed to overcome an opponent that tries to out-athlete them.
the Hawks especially enjoy contests such as last weekend vs the Clones - Grinders

LET'S GO BUCKS! BEAT THE FROGS!
Corso put the Brutus head on on, his reasoning, the TCU one hurt to wear.
-
not buying TCU as a legit top 15 team. Ohio State will blow them out imo.

I like how you think. Make it so Number 1.

I would like you to be right. But we haven’t seen OSU play anything more than a scrimmage.
I see a close game. 35-28 type of game.

As long as the Buckeyes win, I don't mind being wrong.
Really entertaining game.
-
This was an entertaining game. Probably, the second best game today amongst good team. LSU/AU was really good. A lot of kicking yourself if your TCU and tOSU I suppose if watching the film, more so for TCU.
-
It was a fun game. I was surprised TCU threw the ball 40 times, it was effective but also what lost them the game.

Damn you were right there

I think OSU more forced them to throw it 40 times. If you factor out sacks, one insane run and kneel downs, TCU was at 4.2 YPC. That’s not gonna keep things moving.
(I can’t recall how pass-happy they’ve been in this offense)

I don't know if it's out of character, but I was guessing with a youngish quarterback against a fierce pass rush, they would be a bit more conservative, and I especially thought their QB would run more. What would the game have looked like if they went a bit more Tressel?

That’s a pretty spot on prediction.

Ehhh, if you're at that much of a talent disadvantage, you've probably got to take bigger swings. OSU's pass rush is fearsome, but so is the run D.
I'm guessing if the game was more Tress for TCU, they score a little less. It still all swung with those mistakes (unless the Tress part is not making mistakes, but that's another matter).

Update: so the actual answer was somewhere between both of our outlook.
I went back and watched two or three of their early drives. They were basically just running a lot of RPOs, using screens and super quick passes as extensions of the running game. So basically, they were using the QB into things, with long hand off thatgo down as passes.

Makes sense. Buckeyes would want the quarterback to throw, so he kept reading pass.
