I set my NCAA fantasy lineup last weekend just in case I forgot midweek.
Naturally I "thought" I remembered last minute before the 7:00 games started, just to double check.
Go to check, I'm up 13-0 already. Apparently a game started at 6:00, and I have an FIU WR who already scored a 75 yard TD.
Nice start.
-
So.. we gonna have this stream and then a new one on Saturday? Or what?
-
I think this is what we did a couple years back. Best of both worlds

A running yearlong weeknight game SOC that is
-
UCF's QB off to an 8-8 start for 167 yards and 2 TDs, and we are about 8 minutes into the game.
-
A running yearlong weeknight game SOC that is
So this thread for the whole year? Works for me.
-
Things I expect to see:
More screen passes
Slightly higher tempo
Good pass rush
Things I hope to see:
The long ball
JK Dobbins
Really fast linebackers
Things I'm worried about seeing
Missed passes
A lost secondary
Shanked punts
-
Fighting SnowFlecks tied with Buffalo at 7 in the 1st.
-
Fighting SnowFlecks now up 14-7 at the end of the 1st.
I think Minnie hired the Miami Heat PA announcer.
-
JK Dobbins with the start
-
Are we chit chatting in here?
-
Ohio State's line went weak kneed in the red zone. I am disappoint. 3-0 Bucks
-
Long drive but can't punch it in. Not much Barrett rushing
-
Where I miss the FB.
-
Hurry up offense. Should be common fare any more
-
Are we chit chatting in here?
Yeah.
-
Familiar punishment of under performing DBs.
-
Yeah.
Site looks good boss. Well done!
-
Catcherooni. TD bad guys. Can we trade DBs with someone?
-
That's gotta be a touchdown
-
Drew is fully responsible for the site and all that. I just helped bring people together and offered guidance.
ftbobs will be in the house soon, with all of his data and knowledge right on this site.
-

Not really disappointed in the DBs yet. Done fantastic coverage but even better throws and catches
-

You know me. Lol. Never sassified unless we win 70-0 with their QB going 0-30

The bobs needs to start posting again too. I hope so anyway.
-
Just rusty, I hope. Gears ain't meshin yet.
-
Dline looking studly
-
:88:To our D-line. Boys came to play.
-
We must, must have two things this year. Receivers getting open and defensive backs able to stop passes. Without it, we're just replaying last year.
-
Great play by the safety. Top notch.
-
Pretty uninspired effort on offense so far. Where is the read option?
-

Points score themselves. Least that was last year's plan.
-
This is terrible offensive coaching
-
They weren't able to find Lagow a real number all offseason?
-
This is terrible offensive coaching
Who can understand such things. Offense is trixsy stuff. Not like they're paying millions to look like rat turds opening day in front of millions of eyeballs.
-
Barrett is tough to stop on the read option. Not sure they have run it once.
-

Or, say a TE. Those guys can catch
-
Comical.
-
Delany is never again going to let UM or OSU open with a Big Ten road game.
-
For all of the rules they decide to focus on, it's amazing they seem to not care about pick plays. Manning and Brady have had whole careers on them.
-
Talk about as big a momentum swing as you'll see
-
Delany is never again going to let UM or OSU open with a Big Ten road game.
That's what I was thinking. Big Jim is crapping his pants right now.
-
Bad play calling, terrible throws, no chance to score a touchdown despite a couple big plays
-
Kind of a clunker in the TC going on right now.
14-7 Minnie, mid 3rd. Goophs just got a pick on a good blitz play.
-
That's what I was thinking. Big Jim is crapping his pants right now.
Marquee program looking just like they did against Clemson. What's worse is if Alabama and FSU both put on a show. The difference will start the whole SEC chant again by itself.
-
Wow.
-
Man Cobbs is a beast
-
Wow, Indiana is gooood.
I thought they'd fall off a cliff without Wilson.
Instead they've taken a big step forward.
-

Instead they've taken a big step forward.
Not sure if Indiana good or Buckeyes horrible.
-
Red zone brick wall.
-
Friggin finally. Power football at the line.
-
Some nice running finally
-
Will that get OSU going now?
Gotta stop IU quickly or this could get really interesting.
-
We literally cannot stop their passing game.
-
Oh for fx sake.
P.s. Have you heard a more quiet crowd? They are beating #2 and it sounds like a wake in Bloomington.
-
:smiley_confused1:
-
Son, if you don't turn your Gd head and fight for the ball...
-
I think we all grossly under ranked Indiana in our power rankings.
-
Looks like they're trying to limit the reliance on Barrett in the run game. Thinking there might be a little more Urby-ing of the offense after halftime.
-
UConn is getting their butts kicked by Holy Cross.
-
So Wilson is this offensive wizz and the Hoosiers are looking better w/o him.A team of coal miners will be needed to head up Urbans ass to to find his head. Then he can show JT the bench.Really wanted to see Joe Burrow but Haskins will suffice

Honestly, has JT amounted to much? I mean, his career is pretty meh. Cardale carried the NC. JT has been just mediocre in my opinion.
-
Mike Webber be like... ???
-
How..how do you drop that?
-
Wow. Go for it on the 40. Dude.
-
Paris Campbell is playing himself right out the starting lineup

At least he got open. First dude I've seen tonight shake the coverage.
-

Or?
-
Did Urbs open a can of whoop ass in the locker room? Looking better. Less rusty but with fire.
-
Dobby was that little elf in Harry Potter.
-
KJ Hill has dependable hands. The rest meh.TD Bucks
-
Rhode Island is taking C Michigan to OT.
-
Incomplete pass?
-
Hmmm
-
Hmmm...right call IMHO
-
Huge momentum turn.
-
Can I just say that I'm glad we aren't playing Indiana this season?
That offense doesn't look like it's fun to face
-
Well, MSU sure ain't beating Indiana
-
Honestly, has JT amounted to much? I mean, his career is pretty meh. Cardale carried the NC. JT has been just mediocre in my opinion.
I think he's gotten worse every year. He was everything he was billed as as a freshman.
-
IU fans really going with the "overrated" chant, up 1 Midway through the 3rd.
Wait, Nick Sheridan is an assistant at IU?
-
Now that was some speed
-
I think he's gotten worse every year. He was everything he was billed as as a freshman.
Bingo. We've been waiting with baited breath. His passing is his Achilles but let's be honest, his option speed isn't that awesome either. He's slow and takes too long to get up to any speed. He's not Braxton by any stretch. A poor man's Braxton maybe.
-
Now that I like. Paris living up to the hype. Dudes a burner.
-
Still can't get over how quiet this Hoosier crowd is. If this were the shoe and the tables were turned, it would be defening.
-
Maybe the receiver team finally figured it out. Hats off Dixon. Nice to finally see him making good. Dudes been nothing but injuries day one. Hope he has a great year!
-
Still can't get over how quiet this Hoosier crowd is. If this were the shoe and the tables were turned, it would be defening.
Takes a while to change culture. Plenty of empties, so I'm sure OSU is still well represented. Value City was one of the Big Tens quietest arenas even with Oden-Conley. I don't think suddenly Indiana has a rabid football fan culture off of two mid level bowls. He'll, MSU had a better football culture, reached higher levels, and still had empties.

Makes sense. Just sad though. Teams feed off the fans and vice versa. Hell, UAB seems to have more rabid fans. Hell, they fought city hall to get the team back. Indiana has a damn good team this year. They are gonna win games they shouldn't. I'd be stoked.
-

God I've missed football season.

Let's also remember, this is a Thursday night game where IU was supposed to get beat around. So alumni attendance is probably not real good.
-
So much for Indiana's defense. That said, I have been surprised by their offense tonight, especially with DeBord as their OC.
Elsewhere....
Minnesota looked really bad on offense, and who knows if their defense is any good with Buffalo being the opponent. If they can't run the ball better, which was most surprising, they're going to struggle against everyone else, too.
UCF looked good (yes, FIU was the opponent) and could definitely beat Maryland and challenge USF to win their conference.
Apparently Shane Morris started for Central Michigan and didn't do so well judging from the stat line. Barely beating Rhode Island is a bad sign for them.
Connecticut was down against Holy Cross but came back to win. Cincinnati struggled with Austin Peay, so the Bearcats probably won't be helping Michigan's SOS.
Oklahoma State dominated Tulsa, so that confirms my thinking that they're top Big 12 team, especially with the Bedlam game at home.
-
You must say Victor with a Transylvania accent. Veektor.
-
ASU missed challenging an obvious out of bounds TD catch by NMSU. WTF?!?
-
IU fans really going with the "overrated" chant, up 1 Midway through the 3rd.
I heard that and starting thinking... You guys are going to regret this. And BOOM. The beast is unleashed.
-

29-0 since the chant. Not a great idea.
-
36-0 since the chant.
-
This game is as predicted in the IU/OSU thread. A talented but inexperienced defensive backfield versus a really good QB with high quality, experienced WRs for Indiana. The opposite on the other side....inexperienced WRs for OSU versus the most experienced DB group in the conference. It took 3 quarters to separate.
I thought Barrett looked decent...,3 TDs plus one beauty dropped. Numerous other passes dropped.
Neat new RB to go with Weber....
-
Barrett certainly played much better in the second half. That's certainly due to receivers finally getting separation from those pesky IU DBs. But I'm not sold on JT's arm. The big Tds were short passes that the receivers turned into big plays. He had that one touch pass to Campbell that he dropped but other than that, way too many overthrown or just flat out miscommunication passes with the corp.
We'll see. I'll be honest but JT just always seems stoned out his gourd to me. No real fire or passion. Just mopey. Hence, meh.
-
I think Indiana knocks off either Penn St or Michigan this year.
They don't have the burners that OSU needed in order to put this thing away.
They get the Wolverines at home.
-
TN ST beat GA ST
NM ST is trailing AZ ST by 1 at the half.
CMU needed 3 OTs in order to beat Rhode Island
UConn survived their scare vs Holy Cross
Fickel survived his UC debut.
-
I had mistakenly made a post indicating that Arizona State had been upset, but apparently the CBSsports.com scoreboard was messed up for some reason. Regardless, it still amazes my how Arizona State has regressed under Graham from his first few years.
Conversely, New Mexico State has been terrible for a long time. This is tangential, but I still don't get why the Sun Belt is dropping them even though they can now have a CCG with just 10 teams (I get dropping Idaho, since they're so far from everyone else). If anything, it would make sense for them to add NMSU back in all sports (which they were in before the WAC), since they'd be a top basketball program for them. For comparison, I get why there apparently isn't any interest between the Sun Belt and Liberty (which has it's own political / religious motivations like BYU), but they could add also another FCS program like they just did with Coastal Carolina to even it up.
As it is, it will be interesting to see how they and the other two low-profile independents (Liberty and Massachusetts) manage. I think it is feasible for NMSU, because they can schedule UMass & Liberty and various MAC / CUSA / SB teams along with an FCS home game, they have annual rivalry games with UNM and UTEP, and then they just need to take 2 or 3 guarantee game trips like tonight. If they get to 6 wins they're now virtually guaranteed a bowl game because the conference tie-ins for the low-profile ones have become essentially meaningless with 5-7 teams getting bowl bids..... Hypothetically, North Dakota State (name your top FCS program) could get 6-9 wins every year with a similar schedule if they wanted to.
-
Yeah, the Red Aggies got screwed.
The Big XII made it so you don't need 12 teams anymore to have a ccg.
The SunBelt teams behave as though traveling across TX is akin to taking a trip to the moon.
Their two biggest rivals are holding them down, as NM is blocking them from joining the MWC, while UTEP is blocking them from joining CUSA.
Both of those teams do schedule NMSU annually in the Non Conference, though, so that will give them a good start on an Independent schedule every year; as well as give them something to play for if they aren't getting to Bowl games.
-
Thoughts from last night:
-This team needs work. A lot of it. OL was getting no push, secondary was thin as rice paper, and neither QB could sustain drives.
It's a good thing that the next living, breathing team on the Gophers schedule is at Iowa on the 28th of October. They need all the reps they can get.
-The Row the Boat shtick is already a beating in stadium.
-
I think Indiana knocks off either Penn St or Michigan this year.
They don't have the burners that OSU needed in order to put this thing away.
They get the Wolverines at home.
Indiana is definitely going to be a problem for most teams in the B1G. Don't think they knock either PSU or M off though. Indiana just doesn't have the team depth. Sooner or later they break down in the 2nd half because of this. It's been a recurring theme there. I think it'll be more of the same.
And if they do knock M off, it won't be because of lack of "burners"- DPJ, Eddie McDoom, and Dylan Crawford all figure to get minutes at WR- and all three of them can run now. Crawford and DPJ both ran top 10 times in the low 4.4's at the nike opening event, and McDoom was widely talked about as the fastest guy on M's team last year- besting Peppers (4.43 at NFL combine) and Chesson (4.46) in foot races.
Don't think the issue is speed or lack thereof. The issue would be how the Michigan offense tries to use that speed. Completely different style of offenses and passing games. Ohio State's offensive style is better IMO. Up-tempo, use run game to set up the pass and get the ball out to speedy players in space and let them use that speed.
-

Rinse & repeat good defenses will take away the deep stuff thus shortening the field.OSU heading down the same path.OSU's over all depth tired out the Hoosiers in the 2nd half.Buckeye defense will keep them in any contest unfortunately the offense will not give them much choice against deeper squads.hey I'm still glad the season's here

Off to The Lake all. Not sure if I'll be on tonight or not depending on the party going on, but I will be watching television.
On, Wisconsin!

Down 10, and I was just wondering when they would wake up.

Taking my kids (9 and 7) to their first Iowa game today. My wife's Grandpa is the Military Honoree (Bronze Star WWII), so that should be cool to see.
Hopefully Iowa doesn't lay an egg.
-
I was at a Michigan alumni event last night but tried to follow the Wisconsin and Rutgers games. The Badgers looked bad early, but finally asserted themselves in the second half. I'm not sure what to think of Rutgers, now. If they can give Washington a decent game, they could very well be good enough to win a few BigTen games, though I'd still be equally unsurprised if they lost to Eastern Michigan next weekend.
-
Badgers rolled eventually. That new RB looks awesome.
We fans do the same thing every year. Frickin games are 60 minutes. 60!
What is the score after 60?
Who gives a shit if it's close for a while, the test is over the distance. That's the whole frickin point. Cracks me up.

And first games of the season are notorious for slow starts.
If it happens repeatedly, and against teams yours should overmatch, then it might be a cause for concern once you hit the meat of your schedule. But in Game 1? You're just trying not to turn over the ball 10 times and to avoid the stupid penalties. A win's a win.

Can Idaho St knock off the Blue Aggies tonight?
-
the fighting Fearless Frankies against the Boilers tonight!!!
-
BOILER UP!
(whatever that means)
-
WRs have 3 drops already. All 3 would have been 1st downs
-
Frankie's 73rd Birthday, not going so well early
-
Wilson right on time with yet another stupid penalty. Good player, not so smart
-
Man, I love watching this team again!
Happy Brohmikkah!
-
Early returns are that Purdue made the right hire!!!! We may actually be competitive this year. Last year it would have taken 4 games to score 34 points.
-
I'm just going to take the silence here as shock and awe. Everyone will fear being a victim of the Spoilermakers once again
:-\
-
switched to Husker Volleyball vs UCLA on BTN
-
Can't say I blame you Fearless. I suppose comparing the Left Coast girls to the Midwestern ones makes for an ok Friday night.
But beware, the train is coming 10/28
-
Big win for Purdue.
Ohio was picked to win the Mac East.
-
Lots of Uga fans at indy airport yesterday and today. I see lots of Dawgs fans in the stands at Wrigley tonite too.
-

was hoping for a more competitive event, but Husker ladies swept the left coast 3-0
and the Big Red knows how to ride the train
-
It is awesome to see Purdue have some life. This is a game they would usually lose.
-
Well that was beautiful to see. Been a while since Purdue put a beat down on a decent team.
I'm getting some sleep. Gotta be at work 6am to work the rest of the straggler flights out of Florida before Irma hits. We got crushed today and yesterday with a mass exodus of aircraft mostly heading north IFR. The air traffic system was stressed.
After that it's time to start the hurricane party. I hope everyone in the storms path stays safe. Cheers.
-
Very nice to see Purdue show some life. What a world of difference with an actual coaching staff, eh?
-
Purdue's going to make me regret not having BTN this year, aren't they? Didn't have FS1 either...
But hey, it's good to see the team getting the message: this is what the B1G is SUPPOSED to do to the MAC.

-
Maybe he knew how bad this Temple roster was about to be.
When I saw Temple was getting held under the water, I went back to check what USF's defensive numbers were like.
In games 1-3, they'd been murdered by allowing big runs, but they were third in smothering the run, 17th in smothering the pass, 10th in limiting big passing plays. That was before last night.
Strong can coach some defense, even if that offense isn't near as fun as it was last year.
-
So, Texas is in on the Thursday night MAACTION this week, playing against Iowa State. I'm hopeful the inspired defensive showing against USC is part of a trend rather than an anomaly. But our o-line is pretty woeful regardless, and ISU has some weapons. I think this is going to be a fairly close game tonight, just hoping the Horns come out on top.
-
Cool. I get to watch some football after all.
I'm certainly not going to watch a bunch of clowns disrespect our flag. Ever.
And yes, Jim Harbaugh, I'm aware of what the constitution says.
-
last night of Men's golf league, so I probably won't watch much of the Cyclone game. Perhaps the 4th quarter if it's close

This game is getting what it deserves.
-
One of the stinkiest games in some time. On a rare beautiful night in Ames.
-
Man, the ISU QB Park makes his offense look even worse than ours. And that's saying something.
Just glad to escape with a Thursday night road win. Our game against KSU next weekend could potentially be even uglier, think about THAT, gentlemen. :)
-
I honestly thought that there would be a lot more fireworks than that. Both teams seem to be capable of putting up 30+ points in any given game. I still think ISU is dangerous enough to mess up someone's season (like an oSu or WVU), and Texas is gradually clawing its way back to respectability. It may require an upset, but I think 8-4 isn't out of the question for the 'Horns this year.
And since when did ISU start adding grey to their unis? Yuck.
-
Pretty good slate tonight.
A B1G West game, two Battles of unbeatens in both the Acc and Pac 12, and an in-state match up.
-
Man, I thought Lovie Smith was gonna be a home run hire for the Illini. I can't believe he hasn't gotten them out of the West Division basement.
Aside from Iowa and Northwestern, every team in the B1G West is breaking in a new coach, and they are all in better shape than Lovie Smith. Even Mike Riley.
-
Love hearing from Mack Brown on how teams should punt from the opponent's 40 yard line
-
Well, since its Friday night, I'm here watching this damn game on TV instead of heading over to Champaign for a quick ride over and back. My peeps tell me its about 10k smaller crowd than the last time Nebraska was in town. It looks like it.
-
Kind of wish this USC at Wazzu game was Sat night, if only to see GameDay in Pullman for once.
-
Why is USC playing Michigan State in Pullman?
-
Rusty of not, Stanley Morgan needs to catch/hold on to the football. He's figured out the 15 yard stiff arm though.

well, that's what Tanner Lee and Riley's offense are SUPPOSED to look like
and that's what Diaco's defense is SUPPOSED to look like
I guess we will find out if they can execute it against the stinking Badgers next week
I'll be in attendance

Coogs got it!Great late game
-
Here is another reason I always liked the Pirate
SportsCenster host: "Whats it feel like in the stadium"
Leach: "Its like Woodstock, only everyone still has thier clothes on"
-
The Pirate is awesome. Biggest mistake Texas Tech ever made was letting their arrogant boosters force him out.
-
yup, wins at whatever shithole he stops at, and gives a great interview
-
I've always liked the Pirate myself and am not all that surprised he's finding success in Pullman. Once you learn to recruit to Lubbock, you can recruit anywhere.
But what stands out about Leach 2.0 (the Wazzu version) compared to the original we saw with the Red Raiders is 1) a stronger commitment to the run game and 2) not completely neglecting the defense. It took Leach a few years but he has the Cougs running the ball and fielding a very competent defense. Hats off to Leach.
-
People don't remember because the offense always overshadowed it, but Leach had a couple of decent defenses toward the end of his career at Tech. One of them finished in the top 25 as I recall, which is pretty darn good in the B12.

It took Leach a few years but he has the Cougs running the ball and fielding a very competent defense. Hats off to Leach.
His early WSU teams' ability to ignore the run was a sight to behold. (They were pretty amazingly bad their the three games before this, now that I look)

So tonight (wed) we have a heavyweight bout between two legendary Sunbelt powerhouses: stAte @ GA Southern.
Tomorrow there is a battle of ranked ACC opponents with Louisville @ NC St.
On Friday Memphis heads up to the Arctic Circle to take on UConn. Capped with Boise @ BYU in a battle of traditional G5 powers.
-
Espn production of games has stunk, particularly any off night games.
-
NC State with the shocking win. who-da-thunk-it?
-
Last night's NC State win Vs Louisville brought back all that Thursday night college football is all about. Before the NFL hijacked that time slot. An excited campus, conference pecking orders at stake, a Coach winning his most important game to date.
-
How did that team lose to USCe?
-

Yeah, when we just had the singular Thursday night game, and it was seemingly usually a solid ACC or Big East game. Usually not a great game, but one like last night, it was must see TV. It had been three days since MNF, it was a little taste, yet you still had to wait a couple days for more, it was great. With football on every night, I find myself rarely watching, because I always figure I can just watch tomorrow night. I actually watched more when the only chances were MNF and NCAA TNF than I do now with options every night.
-
Battle of Alabama tonight. No, not Auburn-Bama. South Alabama @ Troy!
It gets worse tomorrow, when Texas St locks horns with the Ragin' Cajuns.
On Friday you have two top 10 teams playing... although not against each other.
Clemson and Wazzou both play Conference games on the road against Cuse and Cal, respectively.
-
Good thing there is elimination baseball tonight
-
Oh yeah.
Not sure how much I want to watch my Indians get eliminated, though.
-
Just checked in, result that is probably going to make LSU fans a little nauseous
-
(https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DMCIYPxXUAE88mG.jpg)
-
Not a bad game between Syracuse and Clemson right now
-
Refs screw up. Call offensive pass interference on Syracuse, on replay clear it was a blown call. Gives Clemson great field position
-
Clemson misses the field goal
-
Syracuse goes up by 3
-
Looks like Clemson is going down
-
Looks like Clemson is going down
+1
-
Attaboy Cuse.
Way to kick off the weekend.
-
Dino Babers looks 30 but is 56
-
I just realized the Cuse coach was the Hawaii RB, in the first college football I ever attended in '82.
-
Uh oh. Cal takes an early 3-0 lead on Wazzou.
-
Much to the chagrin of TyponInc, my HS defeated his HS in their annual rivalry game.
-
Now #8 WSU down 14 to Cal at the half
-
Gonna be tough for Saturday to match Friday
-
Okorn just put plenty of ydg under that throw just missing DPJ
-
Alright, on Thursday Memphis and Houston have a title bout, with stAte and the Ragin Cajuns as the undercard.
Friday is a whole buncha nuthin.
Old Dominion and W Kentucky, in a border battle between two schools that are over 700 miles away from each other.
Marshall and M Tennessee in an Appalachian hoedown.
Air Force and Nevada in a random Conference game.
Colorado St and New Mexico in yet another border battle.
-
Marshall is probably the best team in CUSA thus far, and MTSU beat Syracuse, so that might be ok.
I don't think Houston has much for Memphis
-
Not sure I would have punted there if I were Houston.
Aided by a dumb decision by the Memphis returner to field a punt from in his own end zone
-
UH has really found ways to gag this. The INT overturned on replay, with the taunting call on the UH DB was quite a doozy.
-
So tonight Stanford gets to ruff up the Beavers, in the Pac 12.
There are two Mac West showdowns, Toledo @ Ball St and E Michigan @ N Illinois
There's also a random Sunbelt game; S Alabama @ Georgia St.
On Friday, it's FSU @ BC, in the Acc.
There's also a couple of Aac games, Tulane @ Memphis, and Tulsa @ SMUw
-
Hmmm, don't look now, but the Beavers are pushing around the Cardinal just a bit.
Still, I think Stanford will overpower them before it's over.
-
I wonder if they assumed they would be fine this week without Love, and chose to give him another week to heal, or if he's really too hurt to play.
-
No idea but the Cardinal are in really bad trouble now.
-
Stanford tried their hardest to lose this one, but oh man, Oregon State
-
Kryst has a prayer answered after looking absolutely terrible tonight. That 4th and 10? where did that come from? Tough break for Beavs, who have looked a lot different the past couple weeks, wonder why? ;)
-
Looking forward to watching how this 2-4 Florida State team performs tonight on the road against a peaking Boston College team. Jimbo is going through what Brian Kelly went through last season. Like ND, the Noles will be fine in the long run, but in the meantime entertainment runs aplenty as their lost season unfolds. When the losing atmosphere boiled over in Tally last weekend even the coaches were getting into it with the home fans.
-
Who had BC beating FSU 35-3 at any point in their lifetime? I know FSU's QB sit is abysmal, but that was a surrender by the D, BC was ready to pounce.
-
football is crazy
Stanford/OSU was wacky as well
-

It's like Don Brown took a great defense and horrible offense with him to Michigan, leaving BC to score points again
-
After today The Mac doesn't have anymore Saturday games the rest of the way.
-
and no one cares

Fearless Frankie and the Bobcats cover the spread!
makes me wonder if Frank wasn't so old, if he would have any interest in coming back to UNL
he would be what Bill Moos calls a "good fit"

Having already defeated Eastern, Western could win the Michigan Mac Trophy tonight by downing Central.
Even if the Broncos lose, they could still hang onto the Trophy if Eastern beats Central next week, creating a rock, paper, scissors scenario.
Central can obviously still earn the Trophy by winning both games.
Eastern, however, has to wait until next year, as they can do no better than 1-1.

After Central's comeback win over Western, the Michigan Mac Trophy is their's for the taking. All the Chippewas have to do is beat Eastern at home next week.
Western can still retain the trophy by rule if Eastern beats Central next week, whereby a rock paper scissors scenario unfolds.
Worse for the Broncos is that the loss all but eliminates them from the Mac West race, although they do have Toledo and N Illinois down the stretch, so they could get back in it with a little help.
Speaking of Toledo and N Illinois, Toledo beat N Illinois, creating a little bit of breathing room for themselves atop the Mac West standings.
It looks like the East Division race is down to Akron and Ohio, who play against each other in two weeks. Ohio needs that game more than Akron though, as the Bobcats still have to play Toledo.
Many more weeknight Mac Trophy games down the stretch, as Ball St plays N Illinois for the Bronze Stalk next week, Toledo and Bowling Green play for the I-75 Trophy the following week, and finally Akron plays crosstown rival Kent for the Wagon Wheel while Ball St and Miami kick off their newly protected crossover rivalry by playing for the inaugural Redbird Trophy during Thanksgiving week.
-
Can Toledo actually get over the hump and win the MAC? Crazy that for as good as they've been (probably the most consistent MAC program over the past decade) they haven't won a conference title in 13 years.
-
Ha. They might not have won a Mac Ccg over that time frame, but they haven't lost one either.
-
Week 11
Tuesday
Akron @ Miami
Bowling Green @ Buffalo
Wednesday
Toledo @ Ohio
Kent @ Western
Eastern @ Central - If Central wins then Central gets the Michigan Mac Trophy, If Eastern wins then Western retains it.
Thursday
Ball St @ N Illinois - The big bad Bronze Stalk is on the line.
N Carolina @ Pitt
Georgia Southern @ Appalachian St
Friday
Temple @ Cincinnati
Washington @ Stanford
BYU @ UNLV
-
Well Buffalo knocked off Bowling Green, and Miami upset Akron.
Akron had previously been tied for first place with Ohio. Luckily for the Zips, Ohio gets Toledo tonight and then Ohio and Akron play each other next week.
-
Central won the Michigan Mac Trophy by beating Eastern tonight.
(https://www.cfb51.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.thekeyplay.com%2Fsites%2Fdefault%2Ffiles%2Fstories%2F2014%2Fseptember%2Fmac-trophies.jpg&hash=4e6ac237b7b3a7ce8630799bc09c9687)
Ohio absolutely kicked the crap out of Toledo.
And Western absolutely kicked the crap out of Kent.
---------------------------
So now the Mac West race is wide open. There could still be a three way tie for first place between Toledo, Western, and the N Illinois-Central winner.
If it's a three way tie between Western, Toledo and N Illinios then Western would obviously win the tie breaker because they'd have to beat both of those teams down the stretch in order to make it happen.
If it's Toledo, Western and Central, then you'd have the dreaded rock paper scissors scenario where they all went 1-1 against each other.
Or there could be two way ties between any combination of those teams. Or any of the four could win it outright.
-------------------------
The East is still kind of a mess as well.
Next week's Ohio @ Akron winner will probably represent the East, but if Akron beats Ohio and both teams lose the following week then there could still be a three way tie between those two and Miami. Once again, there'd be the rock paper scissors scenario.
We might have to drag Medina in here, and have him break down all of the scenarios and tie breakers for us. :57:
-
Go Bobcats!
-
In the Mac's only Divisional game that doesn't involve a team from either Michigan or Ohio, Northern Illinois edged Ball State 63-17, winning the Bronze Stalk Trophy for the ninth year in a row.

Appy State beat Georgia Southern.
N Carolina upset Pitt.

Bobcats strike first!
-
Ohio-Akron what a fookin' contest Zips up 30-24 with 5 min left in the half.Game's had everything blocked punts & PATs mayhem back and forth.Might catch the 2nd half if I don't turn into the nod father
-
gonna preview Michigan/Wisconsin at the half
-
Kinda funny that the Akron area is hosting two simultaneous Tuesday Night MACtion games on the Espn networks.
-
CMU torched Kent.
This Ohio-Akron game is going down to the wire.
-
Akron edges Ohio.
So they become Bowl eligible.
Ohio and Akron are tied atop the Mac East.
Ohio has to play @Buffalo, while Akron gets to host Kent.
There are four possible scenarios:
1. Both teams win.
-Akron goes to the Mac Ccg due to H-H.
2. Akron wins and Ohio loses.
-Akron wins the Mac East outright.
3. Ohio wins and Akron loses.
-Ohio wins the Mac East outright.
4. Both teams lose.
-Akron goes to the Mac Ccg due to H-H.
-
Toledo wins the I-75 Trophy @ Bowling Green 66-37.
(https://www.cfb51.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwac.b63f.edgecastcdn.net%2F80B63F%2Futrockets-com%2Fcommon%2Fcontrols%2Fimage_handler.aspx%3Fthumb_prefix%3Drp_primary%26amp%3Bimage_path%3D%2Fimages%2F2016%2F8%2F16%2FTeam_vs_BGSU_11_17_15h.JPG&hash=148a78fd89ab9d45020f63a23b9895dd)
NIU beats WMU 35-31. So WMU is eliminated from the Mac West race, while CMU is eliminated from the Mac Ccg.
EMU beats Miami 27-24. So that eliminates The Redhawks from the Mac East race.
-----------------------------------------
So the Mac East race remains the same as my post above this one, other than scenario #5 being eliminated. I will go ahead and delete that scenario from that post.
----------------------------------------
So Toldo and NIU are tied for first place in the Mac West, with CMU one game back.
Thus, the Mac West Title race will also come down to two games next week. NIU @ CMU and WMU @ Toledo.
There are four possible scenarios.
1. Toledo and NIU both win.
-Toledo goes to the Mac Ccg based on H-H with NIU.
2. Toledo and CMU both win.
-Toledo wins the Mac West outright.
3. WMU and NIU both win.
-NIU wins the Mac West outright.
4. WMU and CMU both win.
-Toledo goes to the Mac Ccg based on going 2-0 in H-H-H with NIU and CMU.
----------------------------------------
So we can pencil in Akron-Toledo as the "most likely" Mac Ccg, since both are at home next week, and each of those teams wins three of the four possible scenarios remaining within their respective divisions.
That said, I would speculate that there's far greater odds of Toledo blowing a game against WMU than Akron barfing up a Wagon Wheel game against crosstown rival Kent. Even if both of those things happen, Ohio and NIU would have to each win a game on the road in order for them to nab those spots.

Speaking of off Saturday MACtion we apparently don't get this year, the MAC Championship Game is now Saturday at noon. I'm pretty sure it's been Friday night since it's late 90s inception. I wonder if due to the Big XII going to a CCG now too, ESPN actually had a lack of Saturday programming with all P5 conferences now having only one game that day.
