Once. And it's the only time I've ever suspected I had it, as well.
I had two other asymptomatic illnesses since COVID started.
- One was caught from my son who had recently (~4 weeks before) had a positive COVID case, and was purely cold symptoms. He and I both tested negative multiple times. Given that he should have had natural immunity at that point, we believe that was common cold.
- The other was ~1 month prior to getting COVID, and the symptoms were very much the flu. Given that my wife and I then got COVID and tested positive roughly 1 month later, it would confirm that the previous illness was highly unlikely to be COVID, as we both would have had natural immunity when we got it and tested positive.

Twice. First time was 24 hours of the absolute worst I have ever felt, but bounced back quickly. By Day 2 it was like a cold. I would still say I've had worse flus, simply because I had no stomach issues, so I didn't have to get out of bed. Second time I only tested because I was going to meet my newborn nephews, but I suspected it was allergies. It was not. It felt about like I feel after doing a full day of yard work in May.
My wife was the opposite. Her first was pretty early, but was extremely mild. Her second time was way worse. She's a teacher, and we have 3 kids in 3 different schools (all different from where she teaches) so I assumed it has been brought into our house other times, but only one son has ever tested positive, and just once.

Wife thrice, youngest twice, my oldest and myself zero positive tests. She and I both had H1N1 bad in 2009. That's our theory anyways for why we are like 0 for CV.
