Springer was traded from Philadelphia (https://sixerswire.usatoday.com) to Boston (https://celticswire.usatoday.com) for a 2024 second-round draft pick. He was selected by the 76ers in the first-round of the 2021 draft (No.28 overall).
He played at Tennessee during the 2020-21 season and was a member of the Southeastern Conference All-Freshman Team.
