Good Luck to the Walvies today(but not too much) hope there are no injuries but they somehow limp back home to AA.I know it will come as a shock but I will not be sharing my sunny disposition with youse guys today in the game thread.Well at least not the noon games anyway as my nephew is having a get together.My brother is bringing perch and walleye caught just in October and we are having a fry.Made some Turkey Salad for those not wanting fish.Of course there will be some pototoes going in the fryer in one form or another. For order to be fully restored, the AXE will need to stay in Madison today. That's the plan.
Heading out of Barrington this morning and up to Burlington, WI to see the kids and granddaughter. Hopefully they have ESecPN. Then out to dinner at 5, so I guess I'll miss some of the AXE game. Oh well. Family first.

According to all the insiders on the 247/Rivals sites everyone that has been out for Michigan is playing. Schoonmaker, Mike Morris, Trevor Keegan, Blake Corum, and Donovan Edwards all playing.

In Tucson for the Thanksgiving festivities with my Dad and siblings. Went to yesterday’s eventful Territorial Cup. Arizona survived a close one over Arizona State but only after a 4th quarter full of fights and ejections.
Taking my Dad and brother for brunch at a sports bar down the street. Will start the day with Michigan-Ohio State before hitting the road for the rest of the afternoon and evening. Work has me back on the California coast this coming week.

From the Longhorn perspective, we have to root for Kansas to upset Kansas State today, in which case we'd go to the B12 championship game and play TCU again.

You and me both. In the 4th quarter after Ewers basically gave the game away with that ridiculous fumble-6, I'm not sure we threw the ball again. And surprise surprise-- it worked. If we do gain the good fortune to play TCU again for the B12 title, I suspect running the ball is about all we'll do.

Also true, but one was walking around in a cast 10 days ago and the other had a pretty rough limp to the locker room. There’s injuries that are annoying and bring you less than 100% and others that make your play caliber considerably worse.

Missed yesterday's games in part to be with family. Also went out to dinner twice, so as of the start of this morn, most of the leftovers were untouched.
That's been corrected.
Keeping an eye on several early games. Strategically getting lunch with a friend during the first half of the early games, for sanity reasons. Then off to a bar for the second halves and hopefully a quiet night watching the pretty thin night games (the late slot on this Saturday is perpetually way too thin).

looks like Mike Morris has been out most of the game as well. Michigan is without it's best pass rusher on defense. Corum is also out. Edwards has a freaking giant cast on his right hand and is running hesitant scared to death of a fumble. If that's the case Edwards probably shouldn't even be playing. Have to trust CJ Stokes and let JJ run the read option.
I'll take being down 3 at the half down Mike Morris and Blake Corum and with a clearly limited Edwards.

Donovan Edwards. Wow. To do that with a broken right hand and wearing a cast- and not fumble once. Man. Edwards is SPECIAL. Not that Blake Corum isn't. 'Cause he is imo. Edwards is just more physically talented. I can't remember Michigan having a 1-2 punch this good at RB in a loooong time. Probably Ty Wheatley & Biakabatuka back in the '90s. Corum and Edwards are both future NFL backs with home run hitting speed. What a 2nd half Edwards had and what a way to step up.

No matter how this turns out, PJ has earned his check this week. There was serious hangover potential after that mess last Saturday. I half expected this to be 35-0 Badgers at the break, not 10-6 Good Guys.
I'm not opposed to the QB sneak early in the 2nd.
At least compared to the QB sneak by UW on the next series. Gopher defense didn't totally sell out to stop it.

Knowles style of defense reminded me soooo much of Don Brown. That man to man, aggressive crowding the LOS and blitzing defense. It's GREAT when it clicks and when you have overwhelming talent advantage vs the other team. But MAN if you miss your gap on the RB or if you get beat in man by your WR or miss a tackle- BIG play just waiting to happen. I was a huge fan of that defense with Don Brown in every game in the regular season til.....Ohio State would absolutely shred it.
I am not a fan of that style of defense. Swear I'm not trying to pile on my Buckeye friends here, but I think OSU might have to change co-ordinators....again. The 3-4 that mixes in lot of zone is the way to go. Jeem's older brother John has taught him a thing or two about defense and that's really changed the balance of the scales in this rivalry more than anything imo. OSU put up 27 and 23. 2018 and 2019 vs the Don Brown blitz fest they dropped 63 and 56.

I thought he would keep 2-3 men deep and after getting torched in the 1st half but still had the lead he didn't adjust.The offensive line was great JJ scrambled more than CJ.But the dink-dunk 3 qtr made about 25 fans pissed,have no idea why he didn't stretch the field after the go ahead to Harrison

The Apple Cup should not have a set date. It must only be played in a snow storm. So whichever campus gets snow within this 2-week, season-ending window, they host and it's played then and there.

If it's an SEC team, they're overrated. From any other conference, they just got upset.
If you're #5 in the country and you get dominated by a 4-7 team that lost to AppState and struggled against UMass, you're going to get called overrated no matter which conference.

I would absolutely keep Georgia #1 and they will stay #1, they are the defending champs and they shouldn't be knocked down a peg til they're knocked off- they've earned that- but Michigan does have an argument for #1. Ohio St is 11-1 and Penn State is 10-2, both will be top 10 teams in the CFP Playoff ranking and AP Top 25- and Michigan beat both by 3+ TDs- one of which on the road in Columbus. That's a better pair of W's than anyone in the country. If they had just kept the UCLA game on the schedule and won that- then they wouldn't be getting hammered for the schedule constantly and they'd have by far the most impressive resume of anyone this year.
