The SEC, that is. The West, in particular.
Meanwhile, there are a lot of meaningful games today around the country. Can TCU keep winning? What about USC, who is the PAC's last chance?
Over here, Iowa and Minnesota clash in what will be another physical test for the Hawks.
Making Italian today, for Friendsgiving later on. Homemade garlic bread, meatballs and sauce. Baked Penne, pan seared broccolini and a tossed salad.
I use 1/3 veal, beef and pork in my balls.

Sounds awesome! Us Dago’s like that mix in our meatballs!

Checking in from a very chilly MSP.
Mrs. GR's family recipe for meatballs uses all beef, but we've got some other recipes that are a 50/50 pork and beef mix
There is no greater trophy in all of American sport than Floyd of Rosedale.

Does that mean you won't mind if the AXE resides in Madison after next weekend?

The Honor/Prestige/Stature/Influence is rivaled by no other.Unless it's the County's Demolition Derby but that's another sport so......

That implies that the Badgers have the desire, means, and ability to keep it in Madison. Based on how things have gone recently, that's a stretch.
Loading up on a hearty breakfast before heading down to the Flats. Hot cider and Captain Morgan to wash down a copious quantity of ham and bacon later on.
The only thing crazier than a demolition derby is a combine demolition derby. Both are great fun to see in person.

Chilly out this way. Banged up a knee running, so it’s a lifting sort of morning.
We’re officially on a long vacation. The Badger bar calls with its siren’s song.
-
I have a buddy in Siren, WI

Also, during one particularly unproductive afternoon, I found the burial location of Floyd himself. It's in a treeline on a farm in rural Fillmore County north of Mabel.

In the topic of cupcakes, I got drunk around a friend’s graduation weekend at Marquette and ate like 11 of the cupcakes his GF made for the event (there were like 35).
Not a good gastrointestinal experience.

Going to a Chilli Cook off - actually a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner for the Folks at the Food Pantry.I told their Board to arrange it for January after CFB Season. But the Cretins must be wedding planers as it is on for today before the real mayhem starts so I'll begrudgingly abide.Hopefully home by 4:00,the one guy said he'll bring his TV/antenna.I told Cindy she'll run interference if he doesn't,can't have the misguided messing with priorities.

I told you last week to find an easy chair,do i have to dig up that post?

need to renew my kids passports today at the post office. The 0-40 year old me would never think of making an appointment like this on a college football Saturday.
-
The penultimate game in the SEC usually is a cupcake to "prepare" for one's main rival. These days it seems less needed. UGA will play in a chilly environment, they did last week as well even though is was in Starkvegas, it was chilly, and all week here has been pretty chilly for here. By chilly, I mean "40°F and sunny", so it's obviously not like Montana. Ha.
I still chuckle about that game in Orlando with Wisconsin playing Miami. The Bengals played a playoff game years back well below zero against San Diego, who did not want any part of that. I was going outside only to get more wood, burned a lot that day. We lived in a condo with a heat pump that would fall behind once it dropped below nothing.
All resistance heating.

They have the desire and ability. It's the means part that I question right now. That falls on the offensive coaching staff.

Per the Twittersphere, there is no hot water in the Badgers hotel in Lincoln.

That would suck.

Into the 40s lately at night, here in Phoenix.
I have a Friendsgiving thing later, don't know what to bring. I'll figure it out.
Having some shrimp cocktail for breakfast. Because why not?

Fried Pickles.
Working today; had to bring a group of welders to the foggy construction site this morning. Lucky me there’s a TV in the office trailer so I’ve flipped on College Gameday. Going up to brother’s place to later watch USC-UCLA (he’s a USC grad).

So a spoiled child?

Just getting it done to avoid frantic situation. I needed to renew mine anyways. A few trips in spring and there's always Canada in the mix.

why would you throw the ball when the running game is working?
-
Allen 6 carries 33 yards 5.5 avg
throw the ball!
-
man it’s tough watching Michigan’s offense. They just can’t get out of their own way from a play calling aspect. And when they do dial up good pass plays- they don’t execute. And when JJ makes an incredible off script play- penalties negate it.
This offense is just awful to watch. They are in complete control of this game should be up 17-0 or 21-0 and….it’s 7-0 and only a one score game. This bullshit isn’t going to work vs Ohio State. They’re gonna blow them out.
-
From your mouth to God's ears :-)
-
Don’t sweat it MDOT. BB keeps insisting on trying to run into 8-10 man boxes.
-
nice kick
-
Will JJ EVER pull the freaking ball?
The DEs crash hard every time bc they are rightfully worried about Corum. JJ either makes the wrong read on that zone read or his coaches tell him they don’t want him running the ball.
I don’t get it at all. Kid has had wide open running lanes on the edge all season long on the read option and he NEVER pulls the ball. He ran that really effectively last year when he got snaps- this year- freaking nothing. He won’t do it.
-
Corum down on sideline
-
Pretty sure Blake Corum just tore his acl. Michigan is FKED. I’m sick to my stomach for that kid.
-
And this is why you need a passing game asshole Jeem Harbaugh. You can’t give the ball 30 times a freaking game to one guy- he’s BOUND to get injured when you put those kind of miles on him.
-

fast as crap

Corum looked good walking off which leads me to believe it’s just a hyper extension and he will be fine.🙏🙏

Herschel averaged 35 carries per game as a sophomore.

Herschel Walker was a freak of nature. I love Blake Corum- but yeah- Herschel was just a genetic mutant. Blake ain't that.
-
why wasn't Illinois called for off-sides right there on that 4th down? WTF refs.
JJ threw a DIME and Andrel Anthony....drops a touchdown pass. JFC.
-
MSU is aggressively trying to lose this game against an Indiana team that isn't doing a damn thing
-
JJ can run
fast as crap
yup. which is why it drives me nuts that they don't feature the zone read stuff and have him pull it. he pretty much never pulls it.
-
Michigan defense looks gassed. Now Michigan down 17-10, first time all year they've trailed in the 3rd QTR I believe.
-
So Michigan and tcu both losing right now
-
I'm blaming ELA for this clusterfk. No reason you should've went there today pal. I'll pay you not to go to Michigan games from now on.
-
Badgers doing everything they can to give the Huskers the game
-
BaylorTD
-
Michigan's WRs stink. That's all. Everyones favorite OSU punching bag Zach Smith has a CFB podcast where he's been saying this about Michigan's WRs all year. He knows WRs. Recruited and coaches some great ones. Dude is on the money.
-
I haven't seen Michigan defense so confused all year. These guys are playing like complete ass. WTF gives?
-
TCU gonna win
-
Michigan playing it's 2nd string LG, 2nd string LT, 3rd string RB, and 3rd and 4th string TEs this game.
JJ just made an unreal play to recover a bad snap, roll out and hit a nice pass on the move to Cornelius Johnson for a huge first down on 3rd and 8.
This play calling sucks. They need to abandon the run and pretty much throw it every down. They NEED a touchdown this drive or they're going to lose the fkng game. They have to stop this bullshit where they run the ball on 2nd and 3rd and long.
-
Win or not, Wisconsin plays underwhelming for second straight week. Not sure why there’s so much support behind hoping Leonhard keeps the job, other than he’s a nice hometown story.
-
7th
TCU gonna win
And they did on a last second fg
-
MSU missed a 22 yard FG wide to win it. Absolute disaster of a special teams game
-

Badgers tried to hand the game away on a platter
neither interim coach deserves a head job next season

Michigan gonna win too

Indiana just completed their second pass of the game...in the second OT
-
Hot cider and Fireball is a lethal combination.
Indiana gonna pull it out.

Good, this team has no business going to a bowl. This is the worst special teams I have ever seen

I want JL.
He lost his best player on defense and his best player on offense in the 2nd half. And he rallied his team to win, on the road.
He also inherited a craptastic offense. Lots of things to fix on that side of the ball.
Defense is great, and it's his.
-
11-0 by their skin of their freaking teeth. Michigan was out A LOT of starters and back-ups in their two deep on both sides of the ball....managed to pull out a squeaker at home.
Ohio State is going to STEAM roll this team imo in Columbus. Michigan offense is TRASH-tastic. That bullshit ain't gonna fly vs a team like OSU that can put points up in a flurry in their house.

I can see your side
but, why he allows the O-coordinator to cost him a game is inexcusable
run the ball and limit Mertz's chances to lose the game
shouldn't have been this close

doubtful. Tua Jr ain't healthy. Only shot Maryland had was if he was 100% healthy and on point. OSU steam rolls.

have to say, it was nice seeing that fat fkn prick BERT lose in that fashion. Couldn't happen to a bigger doucher. Guy can clearly coach though. I'd love to see what he could do at a helmet. NEB/FSU/Florida/Auburn should seriously consider going after the guy.

I listened to the end of the Michigan/Illinois game on Sirius. It was the Illinois broadcast and the Illini radio guys were pretty upset about a couple calls toward the end. There was a catch reviewed that they were convinced was not a catch and (earlier) an offensive PI not called. Any takes on those?

I have to agree with him on the pass interference. It was called on the Defense and it was clearly offenses PI. It led to Michigan’s second from last field goal.
But Illinois should not be complaining. All they needed to do was get one or two first downs and they couldn’t do it. And honestly it didn’t look like they tried all that hard.

Illinois sucks. That’s my only thoughts.
It was CLEARLY defensive pass interference so they can stfu about it. And the catch was for 5 yards and was bang bang, could’ve been over turned, could’ve stayed- wouldn’t have mattered either way bc Moody was always going to nail that FG regardless of the 5 yards.
FK Illinois and FK BERT.

Nah, the PI was a good call. I think that *probably* wasn't a catch, but it was called a catch live, and I'm fine with not overturning it. Either way it was a difference of 4 yards

Yes the cats versus no catch had no effect on the outcome of the game whatsoever.
I thought the officiating was very good through the game and very even.

Michigan got super lucky. On their fourth down conversion, there was a completely obvious pass interference on the offense that the refs somehow missed. Should have been 4th and 13.

That was a pick play for sure. But that never gets called
-
That was a pick play for sure. But that never gets called
Brian Kelly would like a word. But there are pick plays and then there are plays where the receiver just takes out two DB's while clearly trying to block them. This wasn't even a pick play, it was just blocking guys down field.
-
Gophers down 10 0 after Iowa goes right down the field TWICE. So much for the worst offense in D1.
Also it's an interesting strategy to force the Gopher return man to bring the ball out. He should be fair catching everything. And that's with the wind at their back.
If they don't get points on this series they're toast.
-
BYU is in a dogfight with my Dixie State Trailblazers, out of the dregs of FCS.
-
La Porta is the Iowa offense
might want to be aware
-
how is Ohio State losing at half time to Maryland?
Michigan and OSU both look like they were looking ahead to each other. Michigan had like 7 starters out. What’s OSU’s excuse?

3rd and 1 pass?
4th and 1 FG??? - miss!!!

Yeah - they look distracted. Lots of self inflicted mistakes including penalties.
But injuries are no excuse. They are without their best RB, their 2nd best RB is a shell of himself and their 3rd best RB tore his ACL before the season. Not to mention their best WR.
everyone is banged up this time of year- no excuse. Maryland deserves credit. They are sharp. OSU- not so much.

Yup they're on the road this same team lost to michigan by 7 in AA after gifting them the opening TD and loosing their QB in the 4th QTR.Our Michigan correspondent forgets these things.
-
Dawgs pulling out a bit 16-0
-
welp game over now. Maryland did the one thing they couldn’t- get a baaaad special team play which flips the whole momentum.
OSU is about to pull away big time now and bury them.

Buckeyes are a 2nd half team. They’ll win by 21+
-
OSU D is light years better this year than they were last. Add that to the game being at home for them. Add that to Michigan’s pass offense being basically same as it was last year- just don’t see a path for Michigan to win that one.
-
Buckeyes are a 2nd half team. They’ll win by 21+
How are you coming along SM?
-
Glad they finally came around to hayden he hits the hole
-
that was a bs PI call on Maryland.
Julian Fleming flat out dropped that. How was this kid a 5* and top 5 player in the nation?
Cade Stover is a hell of a TE. Wouldn’t mind the Lions drafting him in 2nd or 3rd.

I dunno about that, DB was clearly grabbing him. Though the announcer is right that they have done that all game.

Slowly but progress is happening. Jaw muscles still bad and driving over 10 mins isn’t loved by my brain, but being here and mostly functional is a big deal.

It was a bang bang play and didn’t affect Fleming from getting BOTH hands on the football. Fleming flat out just dropped a great throw by Stroud that hit him in both hands. The contact came almost instantly as the ball got there. It was a bullshit call.
Fleming just kinda sucks.

It is irrelevant whether he got his hands on the ball. He didn't catch it because he got grabbed by the DB. Sure, a great receiver might catch it, but interference calls don't depend on the skill of the receiver.
-
why is Maryland going for 2?
-
Welp defense was enjoying watching too much,6 pt game. One solid drive and they're back in.Suppose to ask that after they don't make it Mdot
-
why is Maryland going for 2?
If you go for two you can win with another touchdown.
-
Top 4 struggled
-
Maryland special teams killing their momentum this 2nd half. Blocked punt now gave up a huge return.
-
Kid grinds
like it love it
-
Unfreakin' believable,dafuq
-
Ohio State has delay of game too often. It’s sometimes hard to tell if it’s coach or quarterback. That’s their second one this game in the first one was clearly in Coach but that one looked like QB
-
Resting on their laurels can't put them away.Terps are game

First Turnover of the game. Looks like Minn going for game-winning score and Iowa takes it away.

run the damn ball

Oops
-
Minn throws a pick when they easily could have run it down Iowa's throat for game-winning FG. Iowa takes over and drives down it themselves for potential game-winning FG.
What can you say. It's not how the West was won. It's how the west was lost.
-
Badgers tried to lose a game by throwing the ball
Gophers did lose a game by throwing the ball

I'll admit getting this win to double digits was a bit dicey

I'll admit getting this win to double digits was a bit dicey
Want to say those type of plays are flukes- but this Knowles D seems to have a knack for scoring on D.
-
I'm glad Ohio State had an easy two-score win not a close game like Michigan.
-
Well its a final. Iowa 13, Minn 10.
I can't believe Minn blew this game. They were running the ball so easily in the 4Q against a tired Iowa defense. All they had to do was not turn ball over TWICE and they would have won.
-

I see what you did there.
-
Personally I think Michigan loses to Maryland if he didn’t get hurt. Kid is really good.
I don’t. He’s really good but he’s still turn over prone. Thought he’d have fixed that issue by now- he hasn’t and he never will.

Tennessee tied 7-7 with South Carolina. Could the Gamecocks actually pull off the upset?

South Carolina with the TD, up 14-7 on Tennessee. This one might actually be a ball game folks.

cool. The fat fk BERT can diddle his fat sausage fingers on twitter all he wants- doesn't change the fact that he lost and he's a douche.
PS Fk BERT.
-
why does the SEC only play 8 game schedule? These conferences should be playing 10 game schedules minimum and barring FCS opponets from the schedules.

South Carolina scoring at will, up 28-14. Tennessee defense looking like swiss cheese right now.
-
Twelving
-
Twelving
can't possibly be...defense...it just means more down there.....
-
Spencer Rattler is on fire. He is SHREDDING this pitiful Tennessee defense. Just threw a dime, South Carolina up 35-17 with 2 mins left in the half.
Tennessee doing it's best to try and help the MICH-OSU loser backdoor into the playoff.
-
GT on fire!
-
sometimes it's better to be lucky than good...Hooker threw what should've been an INT at the goal line and it bounces through a South Carolina defenders fingers and goes 3 yards in the air backwards right to Tennessee WR. HUGE game changing play. SC player just does his job and intercepts that errant pass by Hooker it's 35-17 at the half. Now it'll be 35-24 going into the half.
-
Bruins up 2 TDs on the Trojans
-
Bruins up 2 TDs on the Trojans
not that surprising- USC has been atrocious on defense all year.
USC losses, Tennessee losses, and Clemson drops a game somehow- the OSU-MICH loser probably makes the playoff....
-
I don’t. He’s really good but he’s still turn over prone. Thought he’d have fixed that issue by now- he hasn’t and he never will.
It was a 5pt lead when he went out.He might be the best QB in the conference
-
It was a 5pt lead when he went out.He might be the best QB in the conference
Lol he is not the best QB in the conference. He is a turnover machine. He's never gotten that under control, and if he hasn't by now he never will.
-
Listen if not for a gimme TD your boys got an L vs him - in AA.Right now he can throw a hell of alot better/accurate than JJ,not even close try reading some message boards that don't start with "M".Outside of speedy recievers the Terps roster can't touch M's
-

LOL what are you going on about brother? You realize Tua Jr has thrown 25 INT's in 27 career games at Maryland plus god knows how many fumbles. Has to be near double digits with the fumbles. He's had a lot of fumbles. Turnover. Machine. CJ Stroud is far and away the best QB in the B1G. NFL Draft will show that. Let's see where both get drafted. Hint: CJ will get drafted A LOT higher.
How do you figure they lose in Ann Arbor if not for that TD? Newsflash: Maryland were down by 15 with 40 seconds left in the freaking game. Take away that TD it's a tie game even with their late cheap score. And who knows if that late score even happens- Michigan isn't calling the same soft prevent defense if they are up only 8 vs being up 15 in that situation.
JJ is an 18-19 year old true soph. Tua JR is a 5th year SR that has played a lot more football. He should be better right now. And Maryland has MUCH better WRs than Michigan. But on the flip side you are right- Michigan has MUCH better OL and RBs.
-
He had 400 more yds passing than JJ before today,he had 293 today switch teams chump and it would be more .He's been running for his life you fail to grasp that. JJ better find a phone booth fast because his 50% completion avg the last 3 games won't cut it next saturday.Stroud would have a tough time @ College park too.And Michigan scored in the last minute talk about crap
-
Herbie and Fowler can't help but blow Tennessee and talk about how this "isn't them" and Tennessee's defense is actually good- LOL. Tennessee's defense stinks and Tennessee has been playing like ass all game and is lucky bc they should be down 35-17 at the half if not for a fluke INT-turned-TD on a poor throw by Hooker that hit an SC defender in two hands goes through his fingers and bounces back to a Tennessee WR who was johnny on the spot and caught the deflection in the end zone for the TD.
Wild...almost like ABC is telling them...hey guys...we need 2 SEC teams in this playoff, so just hype Tennessee up why don't you- even though they are showing their ass for the world to see vs an awful South Carolina team.
-

it was cold with 30 MPH winds and rainy and windy- JJ can't throw it in the those conditions! (OSU fans NW excecuses).
-
Please stop talk about blowing someone. And TT is in his 4th yr try some research.Michigan was no where near the conditions of Chicago 2weeks ago that was the tail end of the last hurricane that spun up north. What about the 2 weeks before that vs Rutgers & UNL he was actually under 50%

42-31. Tennessee has stopped SoCar like once all game. That fluke TD looms large. Could be a 42-24 game right now.

I'm not even angry. Mo had 39 carries for 263 yards... and lost. Maybe it's because I'm going to need a scalding hot shower to thaw out. I'm still frozen.
This season is an abject failure. The best Gopher roster in years, a manageable schedule, and PJ soils his pants. This team should get beat 49-0 in Madison next week. It's the purging they deserve.

South Carolina up 49-31. Tennessee on track to give up 60. To South Carolina. Man that defense stinks.
-
I know we just lost to Vandy and all (and fully earned that loss), but this is the same Carolina team our bad defense shut out last week (their only TD was on a fake punt).
Go Vols!!
-
WOW! UNC lost to GT?!? I missed a lot while I was fellowshipping over turkey!
-
South Carolina scores again. 56-31. Tennessee might actually give up 70....to South Carolina. Lol.
Is Mich-OSU loser in if Tennesee and USC lose tonight? Who would be the only team in the way? Clemson?
-
missed a lot of bad football
-
WOW! UNC lost to GT?!? I missed a lot while I was fellowshipping over turkey!
yup. which means UNC probably unranked and Clemson beating them in an ACC chip going to mean a lot less for their resume.
loser of OSU-MICH might just back door into the playoff...

Is Mich-OSU loser in if Tennesee and USC lose tonight? Who would be the only team in the way? Clemson?
and TCU

I think they're assuming TCU is in, lol.

COASTAL CAROLINA??
-
I think they're assuming TCU is in, lol.
correct.
UGA and TCU are in. Winner of OSU-MICH is obviously in. Who gets that 4th spot if Tenn and USC lose tonight? It'll have to come down to Clemson and the loser of OSU-MICH.
And Clemson is no lock to beat South Carolina or UNC imo.
-
Hooker not returning.

I'd imagine Clemson/TCU - should they win out - might angle in based on Clemson clemsoning earlier

dude this is all assuming TCU already in.
4th spot will come down to Clemson winning out vs 1-loss OSU/MICH.

2 Big Ten teams will really piss off ABC/Disney/ESPN and the SEC SEC SEC

Let the SEC 2nd team playoff schemings begin.

switching over to the USC-UCLA game. UCLA in range to get this thing to a 3 pt game. UCLA pulls off the comeback, B1G has great shot at getting 2 teams in the playoff.
-
DTR playing his arse off. Clearly hurt.
-
Trojans making a move
UCLA was screwed by that bad fumble call that went against then and allowed USC to quickly jump their lead to 10.

that last series....was...WOW. He is putting it all on the line and playing on fire. 3 point ball game now. Rooting like hell of UCLA.

UCLA was screwed by that bad fumble call that went against then and allowed USC to quickly jump their lead to 10.
and just like that....UCLA is right back in it. 34-31. USC defense is pretty bad.

I see the Buckeyes dodged a bullet like Michigan and TCU. I guess they’ll put LSU at #5.

won't matter. Georgia is going to skull fk LSU in the SEC CG

You seem like the type that would believe the SEC orchestrates an LSU win over UGA to get 2 SEC teams in.
Or, you know, skull fuckery.
Who knows?
-

So if neither gets into the playoff, we gotta find a way to get USC and Tennessee into a bowl game together.
The 1st annual Twelving Bowl ???

Why are we speculating on injuries and feeling OK with it because we have an analyst on the line?
-
You seem like the type that would believe the SEC orchestrates an LSU win over UGA to get 2 SEC teams in.

nah lol.
Georgia is the best team in the nation by a decent margin this year imo. They're also a team that clearly plays up/down to the competition. They'll be up to play LSU in the SEC CG. Plus, I just don't think LSU is all that good.
-
So if neither gets into the playoff, we gotta find a way to get USC and Tennessee into a bowl game together.
The 1st annual Twelving Bowl ???
that would be a GREAT bowl game. Final score probably 77-71.

this USC-UCLA game all going to come down to who has the ball last. neither team can stop the other.

Notre Dame is going to beat USC imo. They play defense. USC and UCLA do not.

Today marked the first time the Big Ten has had four conference games with neither team reaching 20 points since October 26, 1963.
Purdue 17, Northwestern 9
Michigan 19, Illinois 17
Wisconsin 15, Nebraska 14
Iowa 13, Minnesota 10

48-45, down only 3.
Hey UCLA here’s an idea…how about you get a stop or hold USC to 3 and you’ll probably win this game…
-
yup. the unexpected and the chaos is what makes it so great.
This is why I love it.
It's also why I don't try to pick games.
And why denying the roller-coaster nature of 20 year old's focus and effort is silly.

I was thinking this earlier today, but specifically about first-half scoring....it seems down this year. I hope someone studies it and shares out.

UCLA finally made a play on defense for once all fkn game.
Can’t score too soon. UCLA needs to bleed this clock down to next to zero and get a td.

Game is one of best all year.

Game is one of best all year.
if you hate defense it sure is. that game was brutal to watch to me. I'm all for scoring points- but damn those defenses are sorrrrry.

It's not all about the points. The competing I watched and play making. It was great sport.
-
It's not all about the points. The competing I watched and play making. It was great sport.
I hear ya. I just couldn't stomach watching the missed tackles and blown coverages. Both offenses had guys running WIDE open with no one within 10 yards of them all game long and then the tackling...yeeesh. Saw more missed tackles that game than I have seen Michigan miss maybe all season. Obviously that is hyperbole....but yeah that tackling was atrocious.
-
(https://i.imgur.com/y06LgZj.jpg)
All 7 Big Ten West teams were involved in these games. In the BTW, only Purdue has a fairly productive offense. Purdue is dragged down by its poorly performing defense that in Big Ten games has given up more points than its offense scored.
-
have to say, it was nice seeing that fat fkn prick BERT lose in that fashion. Couldn't happen to a bigger doucher. Guy can clearly coach though. I'd love to see what he could do at a helmet. NEB/FSU/Florida/Auburn should seriously consider going after the guy.
Wait.. Are you talking about Harbass?
-
Michigan got super lucky. On their fourth down conversion, there was a completely obvious pass interference on the offense that the refs somehow missed. Should have been 4th and 13.
Welcome back brother!!
-
Wait.. Are you talking about Harbass?
Lol. They are actually really similar as coaches.
Jeem has severe autism plus CTE. What’s Bert’s excuse for being a douche?
-
how is Ohio State losing at half time to Maryland?
Michigan and OSU both look like they were looking ahead to each other. Michigan had like 7 starters out. What’s OSU’s excuse?
Told ya OSU would have a tough one.
You know what I know? I know this:
The B1G is horrible, and the two teams at the top are paper tigers.

You may just be right.
Tennessee sure as hell looked like a paper tiger today.
I think Georgia is miles ahead of every team in the nation this year. Doesn’t matter who gets in the playoff. They are winning it all.

not that surprising- USC has been atrocious on defense all year.
USC losses, Tennessee losses, and Clemson drops a game somehow- the OSU-MICH loser probably makes the playoff....

A lot of the top struggled yesterday including some who flat lost to cupcakes.
South Carolina is a weird team at home. Maybe everybody is a tiger of paper. El Tigre Papier, TigerKing ...

Have to disagree with you. Outside of one team (Georgia) I would gladly bet on Michigan or Ohio State against anyone else. And even with Georgia- I don’t see a huge gap.
Also- I don’t think the BIG is horrible. They may be put together differently- they play defense and can handle November. My guess is they will hold their own in Bowl season.
-
If you get two teams into the CFP, it obviously bumps everyone else up a notch and that can make it more difficult. But bowl outcomes I think often are unexpected.
-

It’s unbelievable how inconsistent they are with targeting calls/no calls.

agreed, cause the rule is fairly simple
and there is someone in the booth that can easily stop play to check out any close calls

Some crazy things may (will?) yet happen ...
UNC beats Clemson (probably possible)
LSU beats UGA (ugh)
Ohio State beats UM and then loses to Iowa
USC loses to whoever out west
TCU gets blown out finally
The CFP is UGA, LSU, Bama, and OSU.

If you get two teams into the CFP, it obviously bumps everyone else up a notch and that can make it more difficult. But bowl outcomes I think often are unexpected.
It would probably only bump up top 3 actually. Penn State is likely in the Cotton Bowl now, but would move to the Rose if 2 make it. No other Big Ten team would make the New Years 6 so 3 either way in it.
There are two ways to move everyone down though. It would move everyone down if Penn State doesn't make the New Years Six or if the SEC gets two in and it pushes Penn State to the Orange Bowl. In that case, the Big Ten gives up the Citrus Bowl. As the Orange Bowl is a host bowl with direct contracts with the conferences, the Big Ten gets a lot more for getting in it than the Cotton.
-
Some crazy things may (will?) yet happen ...
Ohio State beats UM and then loses to Iowa
The CFP is UGA, LSU, Bama, and OSU.
This raises an interesting point.
I believe that the B1GCG is irrelevant to CFP entrance. The tOSU/M winner is obviously in at 13-0 if they win the B1GCG but they would also be in at 12-1 either team.
It may not even matter much for seeding depending on how things break elsewhere.
It matters a lot for the B1G-W champion as it is probably the difference between the Rose Bowl and a WAY down bowl.
-
The B1G bowls wouldn't change much as noted above with two in the CFP. It would impact other conferences USUALLY.
The SEC now could well get two if LSU wins the CG. Things are crazy.

Well, at least they didn't play cupcakes out of the ACC like say Marshall ........
LOL.
Still, ACC seems pretty weak. ND looked like world beaters vs Clemson. Not so much vs Marshall. Or Stanford. Or Ohio State. Or pretty much every non-ACC team.
After what I saw South Carolina do to Tennessee, I'd actually be kinda shocked if Clemson beats them by a lot. I think it'll be close and I think South Carolina might actually win.
-
USCe is an unpredictable kind of team. They lost at Arkansas early, which happens, and then to Mizzou at home, which shouldn't, and got scorched by Florida (who lost to Vandy). They play at Clemson, which is not an easy place to play. My guess is Clemson wins rather late something like 38-28.
Clemson might also win 48-7.
Rattler was making every throw last night, it was amazing.
-
IF Georgia, USC, TCU and the OSU/Mich winner end up in the CFP final 4, then PSU could get shut out of a NY6 Bowl.
If TCU is in the CFP, then the Big 12's spot in the Sugar bowl goes to the Big 12 runner-up, let's say KSU.
If USC is in the CFP, then the PAC's Rose Bowl spot goes to the PAC runner-up, let's say Oregon.
If Georgia goes to the CFP, then the SEC runnerup goes to the Sugar, let's say LSU.
The Mich/OSU loser will go to the Rose.
The ACC winner goes to the Orange, let's say Clemson.
That leaves Tenn, Bama and PSU to compete for the other spot in the Orange. Throw in North Carolina and Utah as extra competition for the Cotton
Of course somebody usually gets upset in one of the CCG games, so that could still open up a spot for PSU.
-
Only thing that would make that sweeter would have been a timeout under one minute to give the Cocks a chance to score 70 on that asshat
What's funny is that the Vols' brass has to be OU fans. The moment that job comes open, Heupel is gone. They need him to be inconsistent and for Venables to succeed.
Off to a bad start, lol.

There are more ways than I was thinking to keep Penn State out. Only one truly open spot (the Cotton vs. the top G5 team) limits things a lot.
-
I should be hoping TCU wins out, I think, if they stay four and UGA wins out. USC might be dangerous, not sure, I do think OSU is dangerous. I don't think UGA can lose at home against Tech unless tihngs get very weird.
They could lose to LSU, I think that possible. If so, I'd opine they shouldn't be in the playoff, but would be.

Also, is it injuries or recruiting that least to the coaching malpractice of that many carries for that kid?
