Figured this was worthy of it's own thread.

For the Gophers, no doubt this was the year to win the West. They will do well to get 6 wins while rebuilding. Brutal closing kick.

Oo, yeah. Minnesota drew the Alvarez special.
-
Wisconsin plays Washington State, not Washington. Wondered why the Huskies were playing two Big Ten teams. Granted it appears VT is
Illinois-Kansas looking a lot more interesting than when it was scheduled
Is Michigan again playing zero Power 5 teams OOC?
-
Ohio State's schedule compared to this year.
OOC the Buckeyes swap in home games against YSU and WKU for home games against ArSt and Toledo. That is probably roughly a wash. The bugger news is trading a visit to ND for hosting ND so the schedule gets a little tougher overall.
Crossovers:
The Buckeyes trade vs IA, vs UW, at NU for at PU, at UW, vs MN so that is likely tougher.
Divisional:
The Buckeyes trade:
- At PSU, UMD, MSU
- Vs M, IU, RU
for
- At M, IU, RU
- Vs PSU, UMD, MSU
This is probably tougher due to traveling to Ann Arbor but could turn out easier because PSU, UMD, MSU are generally better than IU, RU.
Overall it looks slightly tougher for the Buckeyes.
-
hopefully they expand the 12 team playoff earlier to 2024, and Texas and OU join the SEC in 2024 when USC/UCLA join the B1G.
I think when this starts to happen you'll start to see A LOT better OOC slates. At least I hope.
I'd like it if they can get to the point where there are no more G5 or FCS opponents at all on P5 teams schedules.

Nah. They would have to be back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back for that.

In what universe has ND ever willingly given up a home game?
Surely that is a typo.
If not, what is behind it, did they flip flop a future match up?

With bye weeks in between. :111:

So is Michigan just not going to play P5 OOC anymore?

I am not following. ND and OSU scheduled a H&A series, this is the back half of that.

I misunderstood. When he said trade, I was thinking he meant swapped vs what the original schedule was.
Like Purdue hosting Wisc next year is the opposite of the original schedule (same thing happened last 2 years) as a ramification of balancing things after covid.

I was just comparing tOSU's schedule in 2023 to their 2022 schedule.
