Title: Going for the record
Post by: MikeDeTiger on September 14, 2022, 11:45:11 AM
When your team sucks you have to change your perspective and find different things to get excited about.

Last time Clanga came to Baton Rouge LSU set a school record for most passing yards allowed in a game (623), which also happened to be an SEC-team-allowed record.

Let's see if we can get more than 623 this year.  That's a high mark to clear, but with a bunch of noobs in the secondary and a whole new staff vs. Leach's Air Raid, I think they can do the unlikely.

The tackling has sucked so far, so that should help.

Also...hi.

SEC Shorts had LSU in the ER standing around enjoying the troubles of others.

I don't share the average LSU fan's disdain for Notre Dame.  I really don't even know what that's about.  I assume something about Louisiana historically being so heavily Catholic and having ND touted as the only place Catholic players should go.

A&M was hilarious.  I have aggie family and my dark tiger heart enjoyed every frosty text I sent them.

Bama would've been more enjoyable if they'd finished the job.

The 2020 LSU pass defense is still the worst I've researched for my Whoa Nellie game (over 1600 different historical teams).
And they still beat Florida.

Florida never really did catch on to the "Hey, I think they're probably going to run an inside zone again" aspect of that game.

EDIT:  Oops, that was last year.  2020 was the shoe-throwing incident.  It's hard to keep track of the bizarre ways Florida has invented to lose to LSU over the last decade+
