I say we stick with tradition:
Texas 28, UGA 21
;)

Or UGA 10 UT 9?
That was a great Texas defense.
-
But for a muffed punt, woulda won the 1983 MNC.
-
Georgia obviously has a great team and should challenge for the NC again. However I doubt the offense can put up numbers like you are anticipating.
-
The offense should be better than it was last season, for various reasons. That doesn't mean they will score more of course, but it suggests it's possible. The averaged nearly 39 last year, I have them pretty close to that in my guesses.
Offensively, Georgia ranked ninth nationally in Scoring at 38.6 points per game. Georgia tallied 579 points on 73 touchdowns, 22 field goals, 71 PATs and a pair of safeties. The Bulldogs ranked fourth in Passing Efficiency Rating (168.56) and sixth in Fewest Sacks Allowed (16). In Special Teams, Georgia was first nationally in Touchbacks (76), third in Kickoff Return Defense (13.0-yard avg.) and fifth in Blocked Kicks (5).
-
One reason Georgia scored as much as they did last year was because the defense was so good that the offense was on the field most of the time and much of the time with a short field. I don't expect Georgia to be bad on offense but not as good as you anticipate.
-
I'm sure my guesses are off, but I think UGA will average over 35, perhaps over 40. For one thing they play some opponents with scanty defense where they can basically name the score, and if you score 56 on Tech, you can have obviously a 30 against someone and be over 40.
They are loaded at TE and RB and have a veteran OL and QB returning and some young WRs showing a lot of promise. They do tend to avoid blowing teams out by 70.

UGA 45 Oregon 24
I was close on one score, but obviously with everyone else figured Oregon would score more than 3. They did move the ball and had no sacks. Turnovers hurt Oregon a lot.
Does this change anything in my perceptions of the team? Nope. Solid offense with a lot of weapons and experienced QB who makes good decisions and can run and an opportunistic young but talented defense than should get better with a few more games.
-
Very impressed with UGa. They played well right out of the gate.
-
I worried about USCe

Lol.

Not bad on the UGA scores for FBS games so far. Overshooting the opponent's ability to score by quite a bit, though.

For some reason I expected the D to be worse
-
My preseason guess was 45-13, which is probably an "OK" guess, but right now I'd probably drop that to more like 38-20.

I was obviously off, always am, but I never expected the Dawg O to sputter that badly in the first half. They got beat pretty badly on the line.
Not a good sign obviously.
-
UGA 40 Auburn 13
My first guess was pretty close, not my second.
And Texas may be back in the running for a Sugar Bowl, maybe.
I think this Dawg offense is misfiring, still, after two games where it was hitting on most cylinders... I expect to see "QB controversy" pop up soonish.
-
I was pretty close on Vandy, won't be that close often.

So, I've been fairly close so far on some of these, I doubt Texas is their bowl opponent.

So far, they are putting up pretty good numbers. Their defense has done better than I expected. The offense is averaging more than last year.

I doubt Bama is their seccg opponent.
-
I erred of course but I'm glad I did, they did better than I expected obviously. If they can beat OSU tonight it will have been a very good season (even if they lose).
To get to the NC game twice in a row is a thing.
-
I doubt Bama is their seccg opponent.
You were correct.
-
Time for more score guesses I guess. I recall dimly years back I got one right. By accident of course.
The slate this year looks pretty paltry to me with no Oklahoma.

TN Martin - 48-13 (Dawg fans will find something about which to complain)
Ball State - 48-13 Ugh
USCe - 37 - 19
UAB - 48-13
Auburn - 34-24
UK - 26-17
Vandy - 48 - 19
Florida - 41-19
Mizzou - 33-19
