The resumes:
2008 Texas (12-1)
- Lone loss was on the final play at #8 Texas Tech
- Three way tie for Big XII South title, with Oklahoma and Texas Tech, with Oklahoma going to the Big XII title game based on BCS rank
- Beat four Top 11 teams, including #10 Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl
- SP+ #8 team of the 00s
- All-Americans: DE Brian Orakpo (unanimous), QB Colt McCoy
2015 Ohio State (12-1)
- Ranked #1 all season in the AP Poll, but were #3 in initial CFP Rankings
- Lone loss was 17-14 at home to #9 Michigan State on a game ending FG
- Closed season by winning @#10 Michigan 42-13 and 44-28 over #8 Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl, their only wins over ranked opponents
- All-Americans: OT Taylor Decker (consensus), DE Joey Bosa (consensus), RB Ezekiel Elliott, OG Pat Elflein, DT Adolphus Washington, LB Raekwon McMillan, S Von Bell

McCoy was great, and they had two 1000 yd receivers, two 10-sack guys, etc. But their pass D was suspect and OSU had a great defense. The Texas RBs weren't great.
I have to go with the defensive team. And maybe if they won this fictional game, OSU fans would get off Barrett's back.
-
Another close one that would be fun to watch. I like Texas to have just enough offense to win, same as they did against the 2008 Ohio State Buckeyes in the Fiesta Bowl that year.
-
Based on resume, I have to take Texas here.
-
I'm biased, but Texas did not look impressive in the bowl game against the Buckeyes. I have to just assume that they weren't that interested in being there, but that was not a very good Buckeye team and they won on a late FG.
-
That 2008 Texas team was great, it’s a shame the way they were denied playing for the Big 12 title. A lot of the same players are what got them back to the BCS title game in 2009.
I really don’t know much about the 15 OSU team. I voted for McCoy and Texas.

Do we need Afro to settle this one?
-
Such an odd one. That OSU team was good, but didn't feel like it ran smoothly.
That Texas team did, but the defense had a few more nits, while the offense was only good, not special on the ground.

I start back at work tomorrow, but I could do it. Although I don't like playing my game passively as neither team. I'm not sure why people play that way.
