We've let a lot of things slide here over the past 2+ years and some of it needs to change.
1. Talk of religion is over, starting now. Don't do it.
More to come...

The Golden Rule.
Apply it. Please.

Although I'd rather we stick to policy and trying to provide solutions to the problems of our country and world...
Talk of politics is OK - to a point.
It's not OK when it becomes an all-out attack on a certain party or member here.
Most elected officials only care about staying in power. Doesn't matter the party. F almost all of them.
It doesn't matter who you vote for or what you stand for. Everyone is, and always will be, tolerated here.
REMEMBER
At the end of the day what affects us all is policy - or lack thereof.
-
By the way, I'm all ears.

I think your policy of not discussing religion is a good one
A persons religious beliefs or non beliefs should be personal and not open to be ridiculed
-
A person's religious beliefs should also be a personal and spiritual endeavor. And it should be kept within the person, family, or church.
That's it. Religion should not be tolerated in government, schools, or the public.
I agree it should not be discussed on this board. It's for the best.

I'm a man who attempts to maintain unwavering faith.
I despise religion.
Religion, like politics, is used to manipulate and control.... by people who don't care about you whatsoever but need your support to accomish their aspirations.
A51 below is a place for discussions such as described by badge, and there to keep it from places like here.

And it replaces all religious ethics, ironically enough.

Don't go to a game in Knoxville, then. 100,000 strong, doing a pregame prayer.

Faith is what we employ when we lack a good reason for something.

I've oft pushed back on a lot of types of nostalgia, but in this case, the old ways are the good ways.
I know, a lot of folks will be broken up not reading my middle of the road 10 commandment analysis, but if it's for the betterment fo the board, it has to be that way. :)

You just can't contain yourself, before plunging into your usual lack of tact.Your natural predisposition to morph into a douche nozzle will not be denied

I see what you did there. :111:

The Golden Rule is a way of life, which I happen to find very rewarding. It's really not about religion at all.

The idea dates at least to the early Confucian (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confucian) times (551–479 BCE), according to Rushworth Kidder (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rushworth_Kidder), who identifies the concept appearing prominently in Buddhism (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddhism), Christianity (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christianity), Hinduism (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hinduism), Islam (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islam), Judaism (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judaism), Taoism (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taoism), Zoroastrianism (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoroastrianism), and "the rest of the world's major religions".

Obsolete.
-
If I treated most people like I prefer to be treated, it wouldn't work very well, for me personally.
I generally treat folks like I surmise they want to be treated, or just stay quiet.

I thought the golden rule was the weird back door policy for Notre Dame to always get into a BCS game

And get their asses kicked...

I think that talking about the Domers is a violation of this here new board policy; too churchy.

Hello. I have a question. I know you guys like things posted in the correct place, to avoid massive duplication. Where would be the correct place to make a post about potential playoff expansion? Thanks.

You can start a new thread, or search back for the old ones, there are many.

New thread is fine.
