Step 1: Don't be Tennessee
-
Is that your spin?
Reminds me of a guy I was stationed with years ago... he'd go clubbing and work his way from the bottom up to improve his "odds"...
Methinks UF misses Foley. I would too.

Translated. The Schoolmarm is trolling again

We don't know if he was Choice #1. He probably was, but it's a slam dunk for an upper level P5 to offer a G5 coach a job unless he has competing offers.
LSU is the team without a chair so far. They are more or less on par with UF and just whiffed, so far. Fickell is not in many rumors which I find interesting, he might be focused on coaching for some reason.

Tennessee football coach Josh Heupel seen by media as potential Oklahoma candidate after Lincoln Riley to USC (247sports.com) (https://247sports.com/college/georgia/LongFormArticle/Tennessee-football-coach-Josh-Heupel-seen-by-media-as-potential-Oklahoma-candidate-after-Lincoln-Riley-to-USC-176665000/?fbclid=IwAR0K6FxO-SbpLxz10l23Xo2QhhgXWM-U0eHd8ezdwWg9vazh8QeZ9OI01rk)

We don't know if he was Choice #1.
How far down the list do you think they got in a week?
The point is, he wasn't Florida's 17th choice, like Pruitt was for UTK. Literally. 17th.
-
He probably was their first choice, but as I note, just about any G5 coach would take the job sans other offers.
