League titles in the first 20 years of the league (1896-1915):


League titles in the most recent 20 years (2001-2020):


The interesting thing about the most recent 20 years is that most of the odd ones were early.  Included in the first four of  the last 20 years (2001-2004) are:

In the sixteen seasons since Iowa and Michigan shared the title in 2004 the Buckeyes have 10, PSU, MSU, and UW have three each, and the whole rest of the league (M, MN, IL, IA, NU, PU, IU, UNL, UMD, RU) has none.
