Now that the full 80s bracket is revealed, the songs which "received votes", but not enough to make the bracket were Knight Rider, WKRP in Cincinnati, Jeopardy!, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Three's Company, Diff'rent Strokes, and The A-Team

ELA I know you are doing this for free and I really appreciate it but I feel compelled to say whatever your source is for picking finalists is flawed in my opinion
WKRP in Cinn is by far a front runner
Rockford Files and Beverly Hillbillies are also far better then the shows you list
now having said that I still appreciate your efforts
-
geez, thanks for the input

hey some things are important
-
get off 320's lawn
-
of course, I think 320 should put a tourney together so he can take some abuse ;)
-
Everyone's a critic...
-
especially Longhorns
-
Did Perfect Strangers already get eliminated? Or just a horrific oversight?

It was 5 different Top 100 rankings. I don't remember which ones. TV Guide had one, Entertainment Weekly I think? One was a music publication

That was the one I was most surprised to not see in anyone's top 8 of the decade. That's up there for sure for me
-
A-Team, Knight Rider, and Airwolf get a bye. Book it!

Ive already done that
the winners will soon be announced

Here is a clip from WKRP which is based on an actual true event
Folks actually thought turkeys could fly and dropped them from a copter 2000 feet above a crowd
I laughed till I had tears in my eyes

I've always thought that was one of the funniest idea/worst executed bits ever. I'm not sure if it's a matter of time, but man, the execution of the joke is just so poor, for what could have been so good

Here is another WKRP clip that I really like when Johnny Fever is born again

Just remembered two more classic 80s TV Themes that missed the cut:

Was the Fall Guy not listed anywheres?

Was the Fall Guy not listed anywheres?
Doesn't appear to be.
In fact the very first 80s matchup included the Gary Shandling Show, which I don't think ANY of us even remembered was a thing.
Seems like any one of SEVERAL of the 80s themes that missed the cut, should have been included ahead of that.
Doesn't really matter though, it's a lot like arguing for the inclusion of the MAC champ in the college football tourney. None of them are going to take down Cheers.
-
Well I have the Fall Guy theme downloaded in my songs and not Cheers.
The 6 million dollar man was before my time, so The Fall Guy was my knowledge of Lee Majors. A stuntman/bounty hunter show was badass. And Heather Thomas was bangin'.
-
I was in the Heather Thomas > Heather Locklear camp, but both were AOK.
-
Melrose Place Heather Locklear was peak. Better than Dallas Heather Locklear
