are sazerac, old fashioned, kir, kir royale, and the French 75.is that a liqueur/cognac?You might as well be speaking Latin you high fallutin Horn
is that a liqueur/cognac
I like Tito's, Bombay Sapphire and Johnnie Walkersame list for myself, but I fixed it for you. I'm sure the RED was a freudian slip from the BadgersRedBlack. I also like the Highland Single Malts.
My favorite Scotch would be Lagavulin 16.
What is stage 2 renal failure? I know it's kidney, but I don't know what stages mean (or how many stages there are).It diminished kidney function where the kidneys are operating between 50-60% (I think. All I know is mine are around 55%). The doctor's tell me I am in stage 2.

I stand corrected. I just googled it and Stage 2 is a GFR rating of 60-89%. I am in Stage 3, 30-59%. Maybe I should do a better job of listening to my doctor. ~???
I have a thing for what whiskey snobs will say is an abomination, but I love Skewball whiskey. It is peanut butter flavored.
It's a cocktail. I prefer mine with rye.Rye and cognac/brandy that actually sounds enticing the Rye would balance the sweetness I'd imagine.
You've got a radiator,a creek and a pile of corn out back dontcha?
jim beam bottled in bond is pretty good for cheap. angels envy is my go to. i like scotches as well, and single malt is way to go, but i've been mostly bourbon drinking for a few years now.
i also like tequila, doesn't give me headaches like some of the others.
Being in stage 2 renal failure, I have had to cut back on my consumption of alcohol. However, I will still enjoy a Makers Mark and Ginger Ale on occasion as an after dinner drink. I prefer Makers Mark 46,Damn good luck with that NOB,best wishes on a full recovery.FWIW I like Maker's as it is wheated

I drink seasonally in Florida. I love Irish whiskey, but it gets too hot down here to drink regularly. For a guy who doesn't drink regularly you seem to have a portfolio pegged.Like that wheat line up
Summer is usually vodka. Mixed with lemonade, tonic, or something of that nature. There is a distillery in St Pete that makes a good vodka called Banyan Reserve. I prefer that. Tito's is fine with me as well. Another good Florida vodka is Monkey In Paradise.
For summer beers, I usually go with German or Belgian wheats. Franziskaner, Weihenstephaner, Hoegaarden. I'll drink any of the local craft beers as well.
Will break out the darker beers in winter as well. Lagers, octoberfests, pumpkins, etc.Marzens/FestBiers are my faves throw in the Vienna Lagers as they are along the same lines only a little lighter and not quite as malty

We started drinking a lot more tequila this past summer. Typically shots of a blanco. Haven't found a favorite yet.
Winter is when I break out the whiskey. Redbreast 15 and Yellow Spot are both delicious. Jameson is usually my go to cheaper booze. I recently started drinking Slane, it's excellent. I prefer it over Jameson.

I found an unopened six pack of beer in cans sitting behind some stuff in my house yesterdayIt won't kill you.
Its got to be at least 4 years old
because it was in my house it remained at aprox 70 degrees
will it still be good or will it not be fit to drink
I honestly dont know cause no six pack owned by me ever survived that long before untouched

I’m pretty much a typical trailer park beer drinker. Never got into the harder stuff. In the summer I like to occasionally drink Malibu and pineapple. Good summer drink lounging by a pool or beach.Too often, and I've dialed it back. Will be dialing back more too. I can feel it catching up.
Out of curiosity, how often do you guys drink? I basically only drink on the weekend. I don’t drink every weekend, but when I do, it’s typically a Friday night or Saturday. It isn’t unusual for me to have a few beers on a Saturday watching a WVU game or something and then not drink again for 3 or 4 weeks.
Out of curiosity, how often do you guys drink? When I'm alone or with some one J/K.Definitely start sipping some suds on CFB saturdays unless the Buckeyes are on late in a marquee match up then it's water or coffee until K.O.I'll have a beer most days and stop there because after that they demand a successor
I found an unopened six pack of beer in cans sitting behind some stuff in my house yesterdayI found 3 Molson's from a case I brought back from Quebec one year.I saved all the cans for the return trip as they gave exchange for them.It had been 3 yrs since going and they were fine not sure that the temps in the basement were much below 70
as for: Out of curiosity, how often do you guys drink?Nobody likes a quitter
I don't want to talk about it.
I try and go dry once a week. Try.one day a week?
Out of curiosity, how often do you guys drink?Only on special occasions...
Well at least he's trying you lushsome weeks I might skip a day, possibly even two.
Drop a shot of that in a chocolate porter. It's delicious.I have mixed it with Kahlua and Heavy Cream. Sort of a White Russian. Quite good.
Yuengling makes a Hershey's Chocolate Porter that pairs well with it, although it's hard to find.

Best wishes. I hope things continue to improve for you. Thanks, but that is about as good as it will ever get. But no worries. The doctors say that I can live a long and healthy life like that, I just have to watch what I consume, hence the cutting back on alcoholic beverages. I can still have some here and there, but just have to watch it and not go overboard. That and I need to stay out of threads like this because it is making me thirsty. :)
I know this is a thread about spirits and not necessarily beer, but has anyone ever heard of Victory Brewing? They are a craft brewery out of Downingtown PA. A few years back when I was traveling for work on a weekly basis, I was having to spend a lot of time in that area and would frequent this place often. They have a number of specialty brews and some seasonal ones also.Yeah, Victory has been around quite a while. They're in sort of the old guard of craft beer and were around before the current boom.
When my son was stationed in Panama City, Fla, he was turned on Victory Brewing beers and was telling me how good they were. I didn't realize that they were actually selling them in Florida.
Anyway, a couple of years ago, I was in south east PA for work and he met me there for an evening as he is now stationed at Andrews in Maryland and was only a couple of hours away from me. I took him to Victory Brew Pub for dinner and he got a kick out of that, sending pictures of him at the brewery to friends he still has in Fla.
I will have a beer or two about every other day when I get home from work, sometimes every night. During a football games that number will go up from there.this is the one spot I'm a bit successful at cutting back....
I know this is a thread about spirits and not necessarily beer, but has anyone ever heard of Victory Brewing?Ya my corner store use to carry Victory - good stuff haven't seen it in a while as he has local crafts crowding them out
I'm trying not to drink every night after work and during my evening meal. I can do it unless my meal consists of something that just pairs too well with beer.Like pretzels/pizza/roast pork and scalloped potatoes/burgers/brats/ribs/brisket/buffalo wings/.............
Yeah, back to the hard stuff. Still waiting for one more tax statement, but unwinding with a drink as I tidy up my materials for the preparer. Despite taking a few heavy duty tax law classes some time ago, pretty convinced I would commit malpractice if I did my own these days.Well then they'd give you two choices - go to the slammer or run for congress where those abilities can be better utilized
Like pretzels/pizza/roast pork and scalloped potatoes/burgers/brats/ribs/brisket/buffalo wings/.............I was going to ask him...

Despite taking a few heavy duty tax law classes some time ago, pretty convinced I would commit malpractice if I did my own these days.I used a preparer when still with my ex, because she had started that business which made taxes a lot more complex. Even when she no longer operated it, we stayed with that preparer.
Like pretzels/pizza/roast pork and scalloped potatoes/burgers/brats/ribs/brisket/buffalo wings/.............true, we could both add to the list
I prefer wine in general of course, but I think some meals go a lot better with wine than beer, but I can't think of anything that won't work with beer of one sort or the other. Carbonation often obscures flaws in a beverage.
That is the main reason we have sparkling Champagne. They do make some still wine in Champagne, but apparently it's not very good.
I've never found any.
A very austere white wine can pair very well with steak in my view.
Eggs, does beer go well with eggs?
Eggs, does beer go well with eggs?I just checked with the egg lobby.
Never got into it, really. It chews through your wallet, makes you overweight and bloated, deteriorates your health, impairs your ability to operate a motor vehicle, slows down your brain function, makes you look and act ridiculous, makes the next morning suck (for a myriad of reasons), all for the most overrated buzz on the planet. It's a dern good thing I'm a heavy drinker.
I wouldn't pair wine with eggs either. Does beer go well with pizza?I've been told, that in Europe, wine pairs with everything and is a part of every meal, even for children
Eggs, does beer go well with eggs?Kegs & Eggs,Duh do I have to keep pointing out the finer things to you?
I've been told, that in Europe, wine pairs with everything and is a part of every meal, even for childrenI've been in France, en famille, and this isn't true of course.

there wouldn't be a stick big enough to beat back the ladies if I had all that money, health, and looks.
It's almost like texting or posting on a message board 7,000 + times ;D
little wonder why Brutus moved from C-Bus to Utah........Well he can have a harem out there
with all the money, health, and looks, he had way too many ladies
Pretty good zinger, but you have exceeded my post count by over 1k while drinking the entire time. O0Hey take that back, not the entire time guy has to get some shut eye, sheez

Well he can have a harem out thereCover: blown. Lol
Well he can have a harem out thereThis is what I've never understood. I mean, I LOVE my wife, but I couldn't imagine having more than one.
This is what I've never understood. I mean, I LOVE my wife, but I couldn't imagine having more than one.Now we're just haggling vocabulary
That's what mistresses are for.
I bet that the brews that :beta: rhoalphadelta whips up are downright delicious. Some Walter White stuff
His equipment is all clean and shiny, like something out of a sterilized chem lab.
:singing:
I need to brew.i haven't made a batch since last summer.
Oh, I remain fully stocked... Just not with my own product.
Here I thought that you kept yourself fully stocked at all times.
Guess that might cut down on the grilling time.
:103:
I want to do a blind taste test with ice cold Titos and ice cold Grey Goose with the wife.
I need to brew.i haven't made a batch since last summer.Send some this way for safe keeping,ya know fires or if ANTIFA try bull rushing you
Actually golfing time has been getting in the way more than grilling.Stay away from that witchcraft.Whipping up some suds is much more relaxing and a spiritual endeavour to boot
Start referring to him as Walt instead of that verbal exercize
I want to do a blind taste test with ice cold Titos and ice cold Grey Goose with the wife.I've tried this
Oh, I remain fully stocked... Just not with my own product.drove south to Omaha yesterday for a round of golf and the stop at Stella's for a pastrami burger

drove south to Omaha yesterday for a round of golf and the stop at Stella's for a pastrami burgerI like my wife's comments after an early round of golf. Golf, the one time you can drink beer before 9am and not be judged.
was a good day
The hell is a virtual beer tasting?Ya gotta draw the line with some technology
drove south to Omaha yesterday for a round of golf and the stop at Stella's for a pastrami burgerThat sounds like the most glorious thing ever.
