Folks, many of us have been on this forum for a long time. We've seen some good times and bad times, and have been willing to help each other when things aren't going so well. This is one of those times.
Recently, my mother has been diagnosed with a form of non-Hodgkins lymphoma. I drove my folks down to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester last week for a surgical biopsy, and there have been some complications from it. She's currently in a hospital here in MSP dealing with those. She also took her first dose of chemo today. Fortunately, things seem to be improving, and she's looking to be discharged tomorrow.
This is going to be a hard winter in my family, so if you've got some good vibes to send us, we'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

good vibes!!!
hope she continues to improve
-
You have it GR, the best moving forward
-
Good luck, GR! As one who has had people in "my circle" dealing with cancer this year, all I can say is keep your head up and tell her to keep fighting.
Good vibes headed your way.
-
Prayers to you and your family

Playing the record (stream) right now GR.

Good luck GR, prayers to you and your family.

She's in a good location for top level treatment. Things have improved a lot over the years.
-
Best wishes to you and yours my friend.
-
Thinking of ya - my mom had lymphoma last year at this time, the treatment appears to have done the job
-
This is my best Karma for you and your family GR.

She was released from the hospital yesterday, and had a good night last night. Considering a hospital during a pandemic isn't a good place for someone whom is immunocompromised, that is all good news. Regular doses of chemo for the next 4-6 months.
Thank you, all.

That is good news! My mom just got declared cancer free yesterday - about six months after doing chemo
-
Late, but still sending along vibes.
-
Sorry to bump this. Mom is responding well to the chemo.
It's Dad that I'm worried about. Back in December, he was found to have a tumor on the gland at the back of the roof of the mouth, and it's been causing him a lot of pain as of late. Scans from that found another type of cancer elsewhere in his body. Doing tests and trying to figure out what to do next.
Not good at all.
-
Cancer is bad.
Good luck and God Bless
-
Yes sorry to hear about these ongoing problems. Hang in there and support your folks as best you can.

Good luck and God Bless

Good vibes sent from Florida.

I hope they're pain-free and cancer-free as soon as possible. Help them fight like hell and all of you take turns being stronger than you think you can be.

That's how we handled my Ma. Stage 4 lung and lymph nodes. Doctor gave her 6 months max. She went 10 years.

Good news, GR!

Amen on the Good Vibes.
Sometimes one can find something good in even the most depressing, sad, situation.

Good luck @GopherRock (https://www.cfb51.com/index.php?action=profile;u=47) . Prayers sent. I'm dealing with a lot of medical issues with my parents and my dad's are probably end-of-life at this point so I feel your pain.
-
Yep, best of luck GR.
Not as close to us as parents but my wife's aunt is in her final days about to lose her battle with cancer. Feisty woman and shouldn't go out like this.
I hope when it's my time, it's completely without warning (and without pain).

My aunt's father was given months in the spring of 1990. He passed in 2018
