For those who don't post on the B10 board, who are you betting a dollar on in the playoff? I got OU.
-
I think it's Clemson. Again.

oooooooooga

Without a doubt Oklahoma is the best team UGA will have faced this year and will be very tough to beat, especially if the DLine can't get pressure on Mayfield rushing 4. That offense is silly good and they run the ball well, too.
Kirby and Mel Tucker have their work cut out of for them in Pasadena.
Georgia will score points, but will they be able to score enough?
Can the defense cause some turnovers to limit that offense?
I see Oklahoma and Clemson in the Championship game with Oklahoma winning it all.

if it was a continuation of the previous few weeks i'd take ou. but big offenses tend to struggle more with a long time off. it they don't have that struggle it's hard for anyone to score with them.
clemson is probably the best all around team.
uga, though, has a very good d as well and more than enough o to win it.
bama needs to get healthy at lb to really have a chance. but if they can they have the talent to win it as well.
overall, though, right now i think clemson has best shot. but it seems closer between the 4 than any previous year to me.

I think it will be Clemson and UGA with Clemson taking it in a close one.

I don't know that I trust Clemson's fr. qb to beat Alabama. You need a high-functioning QB who can perform well in a bad environment, like Stidham or Watson. Clemson has talent, but nobody has enough talent to hide subpar QB play against them, some previous LSU teams notwithstanding. Kelly Bryant is gonna need to have a great performance, and I don't trust a freshman.
Not sure who I like in OU/UGA, but I'm taking OU.

I have to go with Oklahoma. Baker Mayfield cannot be stopped even when pressured. An outstanding unreal qb like Mayfield, Newton or Watson gives a team a huge advantage in these types of games.
-
Often, the NC team has had a "Vince Young" type QB at the helm, and therein lies a key I think.
To win at this level, you need a key player to play out of his mind and beat the other side. UGA has one but he's on defense where you can't make a difference as often.
Mayfield appears to be that kind of player. He could probably draw up plays on the turf and win.
Bama and UGA obviously are more traditional type teams and Clemson, while very good, lacks that signature QB capability.

I'm guessing Clemson over OU in the final.
