The Psychologists in me:
Don’t watch the game. OK, that’ll be $100. Pay on your way out.
I hope I’ve helped someone today.

Too funny. Okay, maybe not so funny. I'll turn the game on, but I'm not going to waste 4 hours watching the team I saw last weekend. Hopefully Bailey gets a lot of meaningful PT.

I plan on watching the entire game (primarily to see who plays QB) although there is a strong possibility I may be heavily sedated by halftime

the last I saw from someone who might know is that JG will start. HB has been taking snaps with the 1st team this week. There has also been references to injuries and “health” of the QB’s by Pruitt and others.
Maurer has been hampered by a hamstring and quarantine issues earlier. All three non starting QB’ s have been hampered by lack of scrimmage time due to so many players out during fall camp. UT was hit by quarantine protocols which are stricter in Knoxville than most other SEC towns.
My guess is that Tennessee plays much, much better this week.

The game started at 3:30 a.m. for me, so I had a great excuse to miss it.
Tennessee needs to recruit better; coach better; tackle better; have more discipline.
Other than that, they're on the right track.

JG played much better than I expected. His game was much better than what he brought against Kentucky, mainly because he had good protection and the OL opened up the running game some.
The defense was woeful. Bama owned us in the trenches. Mac Jones lit up our defense for 387 yards, partially because we couldn't get any pressure on him. It was men playing against boys.
Overall I expected much much better from Pruitt this year. I'm not ready to give up yet, because I think it takes at least 5 years to rebuild, but I thought we'd be more competitive.
We just have to get good enough to beat A&M this year.

Pretty much my analysis.
Tackling is horrible

I felt the cupboard was as bare when Johnny took over after Battle. 5-7 yr rebuild. Its tougher now because more schools are competitive, have good facilities, etc. I would think we should start seeing a difference by the end of next season.
Hyatt is a potential future play maker. So are two other Freshman ends.
I felt DL would be weak this year but LB and DB has been subpar as well
