How many could we re-contact with through the CFNers Facebook group?
Not sure a half-assed season is the time people are going to reengage, but...

BBTS (or maybe he was in his BBTZ incarnation) was here last season. I think AC was too.
A lot of folks left the Big 12 board. A majority, I would say.
HH/Crazy Horse is the only one I know died.
-
Has MCTerps been around lately? When I first started posting there was a dude named GTKen who would get into epic arguments with a Michigan fan. It was constant.
During the 2015 season I sorta called out an Ohio St fan for changing his stance on non-conference champs getting in the playoff when it looked like his Buckeyes could benefit from that. I dug up some old posts that showed he was singing a completely different tune than previously. He lost his mind. Said I was obsessed with him. Anytime I quoted his posts he would say his ghost was still haunting him. Just quit engaging with me altogether. Can’t remember his name but man that dude got mad at me.

Poecozynook.
-
Poe didn't he come/go in like half the season.Miss the old Big 12 Board too 10-15 yrs back entertaining, engaging sometimes viscious like Vidal vs Buckley,Jerry Falwell vs Larry Flynt. At least until the Conference split

did we all really talk like that?

Are the online names of those of us registered here available. I can think of some, but cannot recall their exact names.

Pete should've microchipped all of us
Seriously, not to sound cliche but some of those jousts were Epic - funny, riveting, outlandish, provincial.Man if he published a book "CFN Message Board Musings & Highlights" - I'd scoop it up.
-

That really is a shame, back in the Day a hotbed of hootin' & hollerin' :character0029: .There was one poster had to come back under the Psued of C-Dubb.Can't remember who that was though :017:

I tried that when we started here. I imagine we could try it again.
-
Certainly like to hear from BBTS and A.C. - who mysteriously disappeared after the cough Wisconscin Game cough
-
I miss Anonymous Coward. We disagreed often, but he was such a gentleman and an eloquent poster.
I miss SuperMan (Supermario) too.
-
I miss SuperMan (Supermario) too.
He has popped in here and there

I was thinking the same
-
Ya Mario pops in periodically.I know he got remarried and has a child, maybe two by now. Can't believe Bama Buckeye completely disappeared. He posted as much as any one on the old board and made the transition here, then stopped.I've seen a similiar poster over on some of the other Ohio State boards
-
Yeah BamaBuckeye - assuming he hasn't moved in the past 5 years - lives literally a couple of miles from me. I have no idea where he's at these days.

Damn that wasn't even the 2020 Off Season Stream of Unconsciousness either. What ruffled his feathers

Buckeycraaazy is on Facebook, I'm pretty sure. Could reach out to her. And why isn't ElTigreRex around more often? (Pretty sure he is, just not often.)

HA!It's funny he stated "Gonna be a long season behind Barrett." Some of us just saw the obvious,Joe Burrows last season in C-Bus.
-
the Big 12 lost a couple Wildcats, a jayhawk, a few Texas Aggies, and a bunch of Horns
still miss good ole Hooky Hornstein
-
Ya Slick as 94 called him was entertaining to say the least and in a just world would still be with us.BTW some one mentioned ND Rules - it was HH trolling the Board and it was gold, jerry, gold.Wish he would have done a few more cameos in that role maybe the funniest thing I ever read on all the boards
-
you ever run into the Notorious King of Trash way back in the day?
-
Was that his name?94 just mentions the HPS
-
you ever run into the Notorious King of Trash way back in the day?
the guy who called everyone silky boy.... OSU poster if I recall
-
There was a guy named Buckeye Rob on the CFN Board - brusque and surly.Sorta glad he went to another popular board
-
the guy who called everyone silky boy.... OSU poster if I recall
pretty sure it was MrNubbz in a previous life
-
We've lost a few here. HH has been mentioned. Gator and Mr. Hoople too.
-
we lost a michigan man that went by Winged Helmet
and a Penn stater that went by PSA
-
Where's the guy who'd open up with "Mornin' All" then that'd be pretty much it for the rest of the day.I'm sure he made it here.Fearless I think he(Winged Helmet) was on another board maybe had his own because I remember the CNN/SI guys mentioning him.
-
I may have run off the SEC board's mentally-challenged jester......but that whole dynamic was sort of sickening.

I was trying to recall his first name. Always upbeat.

pretty sure it was MrNubbz in a previous life
My only Psued ever was Fearless
-
Little Big Matt too. Great dude caught in a bad spot. Man, we've lost too many. Marcel and Matt were young too.
-
Correct I thinking of steady posters that just disappeared that as far as we knew were not deceased.A.C. for instance, not sure what BBTS did he was around quite a bit.LBM he held high court during the off season.El Tigre,Mex the Dog,Mike De Tiger I only had interacted with MDT but I know many of you knew the other two
-

SeattLion is the "morning all" guy. Knew him from the olden days either at CNN/SI or WorldCrossing. I invited him here and he stopped in for a while but seems to have disappeared.
Winged Helmet was a Michigan fan who we met at one of those early places, too. He ran a board that we all frequented for a while, around the same time as WorldCrossing. I don't believe he ever came over here though, in any of our incarnations.
-
Oh and Notorious King of Trash was a Buckeye fan, kind of a jerk but I got along with him okay, he was also from cnn/si and he never went with us anywhere else. FreekyOSU was another Buckeye on cnn/si and he was really cool.

@Big Beef Tacosupreme (https://www.cfb51.com/index.php?action=profile;u=1529) was here pretty often until about a month ago. He was really worried about C19 in his area, and I really hope nothing happened to him on that front.

Yeah no doubt. He'd been gone for a while, but came back with high frequency for the first half of the year or so. Hope he's okay.
And he'll always be BBTZ to me.

Spartypants, Draftnik, OleLardBelly....
-
Mister Iowa?
-
WE need to find these people.
-
Forgot about SpartyPants, great handle.Burnt Eyes hasn't been around but as someone mentioned on the old board he had some problems since slipping on ice I believe
-
Burnt Eyes has stopped by a couple times. He still posts some on shaggybevo/surlyhorns, and of course I keep up with him in real life via text and phone calls. He's happily living in the boonies as a Tennessee mountain man these days.

Selling "Shine?
Probably. Maybe. Who knows????
-
Spartypants, Draftnik, OleLardBelly....
Didn't Draftnik move to Vegas and try and make it as a full time gambler?
-
Not sure maybe he Stiffed the Sports Book and has been on the lamb ever since.Takes a very rare breed of cat that can win in the wagering wars

Seatt Lion, Penn Stater
he's still around on Facebook, think he still has his Olds 442
Yup, Winging had issues getting along with some folks, so started his own board.

I think the last I asked him, he'd sold that 442. A shame.

Selling "Shine?
and touring around on his motorcycle
I still here from him once in a blue moon
-
Oh yeah, speaking of "Shine" we haven't seen Shiner around here in a long time. Not that I'd want an Aggie around more, but you know, he was a regular.
-
Good catch 94,haven't been on the BIG SWC Board in awhile so I haven't noticed
-
He was posting some on the SEC board last year. Good dood.

I'm still here, I'm busy working on a big project. Nothing like modifying your entire business model due to a pandemic...
-
Even a supposed one ;D
-
We used to have a poster called RoyalStreet
Have not heard from TRex not sure it was spelled like that
Fred has been gone for a while
-
There was a Canadian Michigan fan at one point. UofTorontoUM, iirc. He would post in the Hockey thread, and would periodically humor me with a little CFL banter. And the Wolverines, of course.

Ya I remember that guy, didn't post a lot but had some good takes
-
I'll come back if Stingray66 comes back.
-
kashyap
Kashyap is still alive and kicking. I haven't talked with him in a long time. He was never much of a football fan. He used to post for the fun of it.
Speaking of some of those old school posters...
I talk to BMF almost daily. He has been busy but will likely make a return now that the B1G plans to play again. BMF still talks to Kashyap and says he's doing fine.
PantherProud doesn't post anywhere online anymore, and his wife watches more Pitt football than he does nowadays.
Whatever happened to all the other Purdue guys? I remember having an unusually strong representation (for Purdue anyway) on the old boards. I know BWar posts often. There were 2-3 others that used to post a lot back then.
-
Haven't seen @integrinB4 (https://www.cfb51.com/index.php?action=profile;u=1594) or @jhetfield99 (https://www.cfb51.com/index.php?action=profile;u=1625) in a while. Was @grillrat (https://www.cfb51.com/index.php?action=profile;u=11) a Boiler? Haven't seen him either.
-
Yes, grillrat was definitely a Boiler.
So was PurduePride. I can tell you he is just as goofy in real life as he was posting on football boards.
-
jhetfield shows up in season, but steers clear otherwise.
-
BMF checking in with proof of life. Looking forward to seeing Rondale Moore circle-button Purdue to the B1G championship game.
-
I'll come back if Stingray66 comes back.
How would we go about finding him? I think he basically stopped posting when Mr. Hoople passed away, yes?
-
I'll come back if Stingray66 comes back.
But... you're back...
Howdy MDT. You recovered from Saturday yet? My sympathies, we were almost right there with you.
-
But... you're back...
Howdy MDT. You recovered from Saturday yet? My sympathies, we were almost right there with you.
Not really. Badger lured me in with a malicious facebook link, but it could just be a figment of your imagination.
I didn't have to recover. I wasn't that surprised, and truthfully I haven't been into cfb the past few seasons the way I used to be. I don't know much about this team, but I did know that between graduates, early-exit NFLers, opt-outs, and two guys who were out sick, 19 of last year's starting 22 were not there. That's pretty much a different team. Plus for some reason we hired Scott Linehan to replace Joe Brady, and because my wife forces me to watch the Cowboys, I had some preconceived notions about that anyway.
But yeah, there wasn't quite the high one might expect to come down from, as by last year I wasn't as into it like I was for years and years. I did watch and did enjoy it though. Fun team. I watched virtually no other games other than theirs and Texas'. There was a time I ate up cfb so much I'd be up at 3 a.m. Saturday night catching up on games I couldn't get to during the day.
All good things must come to an end :-)
-
Hey bud, what up?
Thanks for tagging me.
I would usually see @integrinB4 (https://www.cfb51.com/index.php?action=profile;u=1594) at Purdue games since we have season tix together, but alas the Big Ten is being lame and saying no fans rather than letting the schools decide.
I don't consider myself having flown the coop, I left social media altogether and am just on the computer a lot less than I used to be. But that's a shit excuse, I gotta start coming here again and posting.
-

Well, and now the Horns just went ahead and got themselves that loss against TCU. What are you gonna do? Sucking sucks.
-
I'll come back if Stingray66 comes back.
Hello MTD corngrats to LSU/Jeaux Burreaux not sure if they'll get back there this season.Stinger hasn't been heard from in quite some time. Not even sure if he popped his head in during 2014
-
Pete should've microchipped all of us
The men in Black might be after us.
Used to be an obnoxious, disagreeable Buckeye Fan(is there any other kind?) who disappeared named Flabbergasted but he morphed into Buckeye Rob after one of the board changes.I know he still haunts some of the Buckeye Home Boards
-
Hoss has disappeared.. he frequents a husker board only now. His kids activities have consumed his free time.
-
good for him and his kids
he was on the verge of knowing a little too much about football
-
Utee brought up the NKOT.... what I remember most about his was his silky boy comments. There was a UNL fan named the wizard (I believe) that had some great exchanges with him... he was the guy who create "choking in the horseshoe" lyrics to the song smoking in the boys room. He was/is a CF ref... did a lot of WAC games.
-
NKOT always referred to the Wizard as wizturd
haven't heard from Cranky in a few years
I think he still contacts B.G. and Old Scribe once in a while
-
Whose Hoss & BG?
-
wild hoss is a husker fan who posted here for about a year... big into the x's and o's..
-
smart guy too.. I just would never tell him that..
-
I never did
-
B.G. is a lady Husker that is married to Old Scribe
Scribe was a sports writer for the Lincoln Journal Star back in the day
-
Met them several times at tailgates... BG and OS are good people

-
not sure you really want Wingnut around here!
;)
-
Vine Street Bomber would be a good addition, but he's a liberal retired school teacher
-
Bring back Goldclaw and CharlesinCharge/Entastella (only OG CFNers remember).
-
Vine Street Bomber would be a good addition, but he's a liberal retired school teacher
That does not disqualify him on this board. Not at all.
-
Buckeye Rob was definitely obnoxious. Haven't seen him since the 2011 Rose Bowl (he talked mad trash about TCU leading up to that game).
Whatever happened to Buckeye Avenger? He was weirdly obsessed with the B1G's OOC performance, any time a B1G team had the audacity to lose an OOC game he'd bemoan it was because "they didn't care", it was amusing.
-
I do miss bamabuckeye, he was a good dude.
-
I do miss bamabuckeye, he was a good dude.
Yep. He had a career change. I've lost touch with him. I'd like to see him back.
-
I used to enjoy reading posts from Hooky Hornstein on the Big 12 board years ago. I don't know for sure, but I believe I remember someone saying that he passed away. If so, I'm sorry about that. He had some entertaining posts.

I know, we have OrangeAfro

Yes, Hooky is no longer with us. And yeah, he was a hoot. Nice man - met him in Austin for a bit.

That's too bad. From his posts, he seemed like someone that would have been fun to be around.

-
not sure you really want Wingnut around here!

Vine Street Bomber would be a good addition, but he's a liberal retired school teacher
Are you going back to SI/CNN Daze because I've never heard those?
-
Bring back daddyact. Him and CWS had some epic battles.
Damn, good one I remember the name trying to place his personna.Alright sort of remembering as I recall their arguments were more political. They got the ban hammer and CWS came back as C-Dubb.Ya those were some haymakers/roundhouses.Wonder what happened to DA?
-
Are you going back to SI/CNN Daze because I've never heard those?
Wingnut was a member of the prick squad
Vine Street didn't post all that much, about the time of the Winged Helmet board - Wingy
-
I thought WN was a Wolverine?
-
winged helmet - Wingy was a Wolvie
wingnut is a Husker
Cornfused?
-
Yes because the Prick Squad was staffed by Huskers according to 94
-
as I posted, Wingnut is a Husker
-
No longer cornfused
-
I am here. I am always watching. I will strike when you least expect it.
Bwa Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha
-
good to know
keep reminding me
-
I miss the prick squad...
-
Proud to still be the only Hoosier fan around here. Hoosier membership on this board is pretty proportionally representative of home attendance at football games.

so does utee, obviously

We're glad to have you. Got any more?
No fans at games this year. Teams will have to adjust to a massive change in gameday atmosphere.
Advantage: IU
That answer the question for ya? ;)
-
BRILLIANT!!!

Has MCTerps been around lately?
I came to this thread specifically because I was wondering about him.
I had some epic disagreements with him in the Power Rankings threads but he was generally civil and a regular voter. I remember him because he appeared on whatever board we were on at the time right before anybody knew about the RU/UMD additions and introduced himself and said basically "hey, we are going to be conference mates". Not sure where he got the info before the rest of us, but I remember I learned it from him (at least I'm pretty sure it was him).
FWIW: The epic disagreements on the Power Rankings threads usually revolved around MoV and SoS. He pretty much took the position that ANY win was better than ANY loss. I get the sentiment but, particularly early in the season, I thought he took it to an absurd point. When I looked at openers, I always said that if one B1G team went on the road and pushed the #1 team in the country to OT before losing that was pretty good. Conversely, if another B1G team hosted some weakling FCS team and needed OT to finish them off, that was pretty bad. He just didn't seem to like that idea.

Everyone trashed his ranking system early in the season when his ranking system would be all over the map. I think it typically coalesced to the "right" result by the end of the season when teams had a full body of work.
It's similar to the problem that basketball had with RPI. RPI was heavily weighted to strength of schedule. So when P5 teams would play RPI 200+ teams early in the season, it artificially lowered their own RPI (because they beating patsies) while artificially enhancing the patsies' RPI (because they were losing to good teams). Then when teams got into the regular season the P5 RPIs would improve because they were playing better competition with the patsies' RPI would drop through the floor as they were playing other patsies.
MCWTerps constantly had to explain what his system was doing and that he fully recognized that it was limited early in the season. Yet everyone kept trashing the results the he himself knew were only based on limited information.
I never understood that...

That is about how I understood it. Basically his ranking system was a computer system with no preseason assumptions. Most computer modelers get (at least partially) around that problem by using preseason assumptions that are phased out as the season progresses.
With no preseason assumptions, if PU started a year by barely scraping past some FCS scrub at home while tOSU started the year by losing in OT to Bama in Tuscaloosa his system would say PU>tOSU because PU has a win over an 0-1 team while tOSU has a loss to a 1-0 team. All of us would look at that and come to the rather obvious conclusion that losing in OT on the road to Bama is probably a WHOLE LOT better than winning in OT at home over some crappy FCS team and say tOSU>PU. It was weird.

It's weird, sure, in the sense that early season results are going to be all over the map. But he never shied away from that. Everyone complained about his ranking in September but I don't recall much issue in November.

Did he get run?

Yes.
-
Hammer Time!!!!
-
It wasn't for his power rankings...
I think @Drew4UTk (https://www.cfb51.com/index.php?action=profile;u=1) could best explain.
-
I remember he really thought the Conference had it out for them. The one game vs PSU about 3 yrs back,he had a case as there were at least 2 non calls where Nittany O-line tackled rushers with the Zebras looking right at it.Even neutral observers admitted it was cringe worthy
-
the conference doesn't seem to do favors for the new guys
-

Yeah, I don't recall the issue being quite so much with his power rankings, but with how it always seemed to work out that Maryland was high, then he would criticize every single other poster who didn't have the Terps high enough.
He had a bone to pick with every single one of the voting things we had where Maryland didn't get enough respect, I think for every all-conference vote he was deeply offended that there was no Terp. Amazing that 3-9 teams didn't churn out an all-conference caliber dude at every position.
And I'm pretty sure Maryland never once lost a basketball game where the refs didn't screw them.
-
He was banned for misbehavior, and set to attempt "canceling" the site because we're racist and we're white supremicists, and we're right wing terrorists, and everything else popular culture will attack a site for being... he was doing this on Twitter.
If he had a chance for his ban to expire, he lost it cold when he tried that crap.
He is one of four persons that i have banned on this site or the last, and that stretches over a lot of years. Its unfortunate a person can get banned for behavior on a site and board that rarely if ever moderates. And technically "I" didn't ban him, but I condoned it and would have had i got to the button first.

Was he spending time in A51?
-
so does utee, obviously
lulz
I got along with most of you... err, I mean.... them.
Rabid Rattlesnake Boy was a crazy loon, but he wasn't a prick. Some of those others... well, I don't even recall the names of the worst. Over the years I've certainly gotten along well enough with you and Ent.
-
Was he spending time in A51?
Yes.
-
He had an irascible nature that had some small charms at times. He certainly saw sports in a fundamentally different way than I try to.
Granted, I can see how his style would lead him to getting into actual on-board trouble. Irony of ironys, he lives in a party of the world that would on average go against those particular politics.
-
I'll admit I "poked the bear" from time to time, when Maryland would get blown out in a game by a ton and blame the refs on his behalf ;-)
-
Was he spending time in A51?
I thought this is Area 51,but Im always the last one to find out
-
you don't want any part of the REAL area 51
Me either

What do you need a Ouija Board, garlic,Crucifix, voodoo dolls and a silver bullet to enter?
-
folks that go without those items are never heard from again
-
Well take your clubs and some Bud Fat and see what happens.Maybe you can bring back some new neighbors for 94
-
no Yuengling down there
-
In such quagmire I wouldn't expect there to be.But those rummaging rubes would settle for a Bud or a Scotch

What do you need a Ouija Board, garlic,Crucifix, voodoo dolls and a silver bullet to enter?
Abandon hope all Ye who enter there...

I remember the 1988 election, but not substantively. The 1992 election is the first one I had a mild grasp of. I remember begging my parents to tell me who they voted for, and finally on election night they sat me down and told me that they voted for Ross Perot, but that I could never tell anybody that, it wasn't public knowledge, and I shouldn't ask any of my friends parents who they voted for. I think topics can be debated, but nothing is ever gained from debating candidates, and I long for a day when that was private
-
88 was the first one I was allowed to vote on. I won. Heh.
4 years later I cost the same guy the election by voting for Perot. Heh.
-
Perhaps you should spend some time in A51
-
I've been in there, but only when Chicago or Kenosha got mentioned. Those hit close to home for me.
They are not bad guys, honestly. Just pretty set in their beliefs (both sides).
-
set in their beliefs just means, arguing for no apparent reason
-
Truth and many/most of us are set in our beliefs
-
Some of us have open minds.
-
and some of us "think" we have open minds
-
HA!
-
If you're over 40 years of age, it's tough to not be set in your ways of 4 decades or 5 or going on 6

The Elder Bush may never get his due. He wasn't "great" like a Jefferson or Washington, but he simply did his job and did nothing to disgrace the office.
-
They told you that you can "never" tell anyone, yet you are telling us?
We are in the trust tree

Did I ever reply to this thread?
I have no good excuse other than I am on msg boards less than I used to, but I should post here more often.
Simply got busy with 2 kids of youth sports age crossed with long bouts of OT at work at different times.
I still keep in touch a couple times per season with my BBQ sensei @MarqHusker (https://www.cfb51.com/index.php?action=profile;u=41) . I went from clueless on smoking brisket to very good at it, and this man's patience and willingness to type long, detailed emails and texts have helped out soooooooo much.

@integrinB4 (https://www.cfb51.com/index.php?action=profile;u=1594) and I still have Purdue season tix together for football (well, we did in 2014-2019, didn't exactly have an opportunity last year.)
Does he not post anymore either?
We have in frequent contact recently trying to get Purdue NCAA tix. So far we've come up snake eyes. I bought a bunch of NCAA sessions in the late breaking presale last week, picked the right venue and the right approximate time, yet got stuck with the 2 other Lucas Oil games Purdue was part of (WVU and Texas round 1 games). Even worse they sent virtually every other MW team to Mackey, or even dumber, Illinois to the tiny Pepsi coliseum where IUPUI plays. There will be as many IL fans there as will be able to buy tix in 2 sections of Lucas Oil.
At least I was able to go to the Purdue-OSU BTT game last Friday. Was fun to be screaming like a lunatic on defense rooting on the rally after Purdue dug that huge first half hole. Been over a year since I'd been at a Purdue event (forget if it was out recent annihilation of MSU at Mackey or when IL thumped us to end their 12 year Mackey losing streak). Regardless, was like riding a bike and felt good
-

Then your time away has been well spent. Now go learn how to brew and get back to us.And don't spend any silly time playing golf - stick with the priorities
-
Proud to still be the only Hoosier fan around here. Hoosier membership on this board is pretty proportionally representative of home attendance at football games.
If McTwerps is gone (I love the guy, but always remembered with a laugh that he was initially called that by others), I may also be the only representative of my fanbase. I mostly lurk, though.
I do remember that whenever I did my football rankings, they were always pretty much identical to those of LetsGoPeay...
-
Good to see you.

our old buddy Vine Street Bomber on the Right - pictured with his brother on the left
Vine Street's post............
My late brother Glenn and I outside the field house at Seacrest Field in 1980 or '81 or '82. He coached at Beatrice and I at Lincoln High. Beatrice won. His jacket is orange.

The Bomber is still living in Lincoln. I usually see him once a year.
He attends more Husker baseball games than anything these days.
He gave up his season football tickets and his season volleyball tickets a few years ago.
Great guy and could talk some X's and O's
His brother stayed in coaching - He coached at 8 different schools across Texas and 2 schools in Nebraska.
Finished up at Odessa
-
Have not seen Bwarb or Max Sam,be nice to hear from stinger, road dawg,Anonymous coward and others

They got banned for getting after one another, over on Area 51. O0
-
I’ve asked once or twice with no answer…
But what happened to Dustin R ? He had his own site for years.
And Texas fan. I remember he had some kind of rental property, called himself a slum lord.
Mr B, and #11.
OK Kid, who was a teacher that talked about the way girls dressed in his class.
-
Bonfired, aka Will. He stopped by after HH passed. Remains the only poster I’ve met IRL about 20 some odd years ago.
-
Bonny is a good Dude, met him once or twice

Haven't seen Dustin in years. His dad used to come by our tailgate party at least a couple of times per year, but since we discontinued that, we lost track.
#11 and I are Facebook friends and I keep up with mr. b that way, seems to be doing okay. They lived overseas in Europe for a few years but are now back I believe.
No idea aboutTF.
-
Mr. B is not a mister, correct?
-
Mr. B is not a mister, correct?
This is correct. She's an Ag, married to a Longhorn fan named #11. Well, that's not his real name, of course.

Dustin is out flying around making bank
I assume

Ha! So many Horns and Ags in the state, it happens quite a bit. I'd assume there are also plenty of Wolverine-Spartan marriages, or Duck-Beaver marriages, etc.
-

Seriously? you sure that's accurate? I've seen some crazy shyt that should have been shown the door but not from those two
-

Prolly even some Trojan-Beaver marriages....I'll show myself out

Not at all accurate.
B.R.A.D. is not here because his interest in being a Purdue fan is at zero. He said as much.
Max is not here because, well, I have my guesses.

How's the high winds 847? Hope things blow by or over

I used to work with both an LSU guy and his Ole Miss wife. I don't know what they were thinking. Only woman I ever showed open hostility toward and the husband didn't get on my case.
I'd like to think they've since divorced.

I miss 25 4 Heisman and Jackal3. Jackal's constant and cantankerous undercutting of his SEC brethren was both funny and necessary. I guess since all the giant homers left he felt like there was no need for him. Speaking of, those old SEC shills made the board a lot more fun, not to mention lively. TexasPacker, Smokey, theumrebel, kwyoung, newmanium, flagator3, razorchique, hawg66, and a bunch of others. Actually, those were mostly the good ones. I forget the names of all the real jackholes that really made that board work.
25 was the greatest internet troll and contrarian I ever met. Dude almost literally wouldn't post unless it was something he disagreed with in full snark. I kind of admired a guy who could hold silence so much and only surface to roll you. I used to have his and jackal's emails, but I don't know that I saved them and it's been years since I communicated with them. Some of the others I still see on fb.
The ACC board had a guy named raraTech who was.....interesting. I honestly think you need guys like that to make a board really good.
There was a Sooner fan on the B12 board whose name I forget who missed his calling as an SEC fan. A homer agitant who didn't fit the vibe, but added some entertainment to the place. He lost a ban bet, and to his credit and my dismay, he never posted again.
I kinda miss TM too, although I'm not sure who he'd even be since he can't rub everybody's nose in SC's success anymore.
I saw buckeyecraaazy mentioned here.....I still see her on fb and communicate via text every now and then. There was a UGA poster who preceded me--Lil Dawg, I think?--who I met irl a few times and I still talk to her regularly. She loves her some Georgia Bulldogs.
ElTigreRex got remarried and fell off the map. I used to hear from him quite a bit, not so much anymore. I can usually get him on fb if I need him, but that mofo is impossible to get on the phone.
Hooky, LBM and nuwildcat......well, that just hurts. I used to have lunch with Hooky regularly when I lived in Austin. He was pretty good to stay in touch via text after I left for a while, but that dwindled over the years. Worst part about nuwildcat was due to my frequent absence here I didn't even know about him until about 10 months after he passed. Some of you know he was an excellent classically trained pianist. A year or two before he left us I asked him to help me with a piano solo I'd always wanted to learn and he took the time to chart out the main parts for me. I got to where I could play most of it but never have taken the time to clean up the odds and ends. It's still my goal to tackle that and do it justice....the only tribute I know how to pay to such a nice guy.
-

Greatest troll job I've seen on football forums was Hooky about 2007 or so on the cfn.com board.Masquarading as a smug, snooty, condescending ND fan trolling the Big Ten Board.Just masterful OBE-WAN like I was half LMAO - half like WTF ,847 tipped me off.The blades were starting to come he worked it so well.He could of been a successful scam artist if he so chose. Back then the Big 12 Board was the go to Gold Standard, all sorts of mayhem and chop busting. At lunch and when arriving home I always checked in just to watch the fur fly and engaging retorts
Hooky, LBM and nuwildcat......well, that just hurts.
Ya Gatorama and Mr Hoople also rounded out a hell of a line up,good to see post don't be a stranger
-
They got banned for getting after one another, over on Area 51. O0
Which is why I kind of think the no politics maybe should have stuck around
-
I think BB was kidding... but with crazy Purdue fans like bwar, ya never know.
-
Didn't know Purdue fans stopped booing the refs long enough to engage in current events
-
Long time ago in a galaxy far away Hooky and a few others trolled the women’s badminton or some such other obscure sport on the old cnn/si board. They would go to great lengths to claim that somebody else was the top player, akin to MJ/Lebron arguments and they would get them so riled up with their arguments it was wild.
-
Yeah, the women's sports message boards are no joke. The old adage that it's impossible to win an argument with a woman rings true. They'll bookmark that shit and come back at you like six months later with an i told ya so post.
-

WhiskyKilo
Now that I think about it, he lost a ban bet with himself. Not even ran off by a rival fan. Goober.

Remember that guy???
