Title: Overtime Games
Post by: Drew4UTk on July 22, 2020, 01:34:28 AM

what conference (P5) has the most in-conference overtime games?

is there a better indicator of parity than this?

I don't have means currently to seek the answer, but it has GOT to be the SEC, no?

The Bobs would know, I'm sure, and it might well be something like the AAC or whatever.

idk which conference, bu the top 3 teams are SEC:
20 - Tennessee
20 - A&M
19 - Arkansas
others
16 - Missouri
15 - Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss
14 - Bama, UGA
10 - Kentucky, MSU
9 - Vandy
8 - Florida
6 - Carolina

The P5 programs with the fewest are FSU and K-State, with 5 each.

I should have figured.

The Vols have been giving me chest pains for years.

A conference that scores less than others would be more likely to play OT games, I think.

I view conference parity as something distinct, e.g., that the worst team is pretty good and the best team is not tremendously better.

The ACC is akin to that except for that one team.  Maybe the Pac has the most parity by my definition.
