Voted for PJ.How does Purdue have 2 1st teamers on the D-Line when they allowed 192.5 YPG on the ground besting only Illinois & Rutgers for12th place ?That doesn't indicate dominance :017:

Neal was injured for a good portion (all?) of last year, but I still didn't get either vote. I voted for the PSU guys #1 at both. Neal might be the only DT who I can recall being primarily responsible for losing a game...and he did it twice.

I'm as confused as you.
As mentioned Neal missed last year. He's an NFL player and this is his year to prove it. Karlaftis was a force as an undersized true frosh, and should come into his own this year.
Still, I feel like these guys would be development players at a helmet school, so I don't understand how they won their votes.

I think Nixon could have a good year this year. He had 5.5 TFL and 3 sacks last year as a backup DT for Iowa and should start this year.
